Two hundred and ninety-five. Wonderful dream

The sleepy boy opened his eyes.

He saw the clouds on the ceiling, felt the warm sunshine shining on the bed, and heard cheerful footsteps coming to the door.

The door was gently pushed open, and a girl wearing an apron walked into the room.

"It's time to get up, Lu Li."

She walked around the bed to the window and stretched out her hand to open the curtain.

Lu Li, who had lost his sleep, sat up, and the thin quilt slipped off along with the teddy bear in his arms. The early morning light reflected on his thin body, and Lu Li quickly covered his body before the girl by the window turned around.

"Today is the day to go to Percy's house. You are not allowed to stay in bed." The girl who turned around said helplessly.

Lu Li pulled the quilt: "I'm not wearing any clothes."

The girl took out a top from the closet and returned to Lu Li, who was holding a thin quilt and staring at her: "It rained last night and it was a bit cold outside. Put on your underwear."

She lifted the quilt and put the clothes on Lu Li's head.

Lu Li lowered his head and sniffed. The fragrant dry clothes did not have the musty smell in the closet.

After getting dressed, Lu Li put on his coat. The girl put her hands into the sleeves and helped Lu Li pull back the cuffs of his underwear that had reached his elbows.

"Ana, I don't want to go."

Lu Li, who was wearing pants and rustling in bed, said.

The girl who was about to go out gently scratched his nose: "I have to work the night shift and won't be back until very late... I will pick you up tomorrow morning."

Anna put the teddy bear next to the pillow, "Percy and Moore live together, they will play with you."

After getting dressed, Lu Li walked out of the room. The smell of oatmeal filled the living room. Anna put her hands behind her back and untied her apron.

After a heart-warming breakfast, Anna put on some convenient women's work clothes and looked at the sky by the window. A dark cloud was coming from a distance. She put her raincoat in her bag, took Lu Li out of the room, and locked the door.

, took Lu Li's hand and left the slum neighborhood where sewage flowed and the smell was everywhere.

Twenty minutes later, outside the courtyard of Mrs. Tom's house, the enthusiastic Mrs. Tom and Anna gently kissed each other.

"I was just telling Tom when you would arrive. Hello, little Lu Li." Mrs. Tom said hello to Lu Li next to Anna, "Don't worry, I will take good care of little Lu Li."

Anna let go of Lu Li's hand, squatted down and looked directly at him: "I'll pick you up tomorrow, okay?"

Lu Li was received into the front yard by the smiling Mrs. Tom.

"Little Pesci and little Moore have been looking forward to this day for a long time."

Anna stood outside the fence and watched until Lu Li, who turned to look at her, was led into the room by Mrs. Tom and disappeared through the closed door before turning and leaving.

"Percy, Moore, your new partner is here."

Mrs. Tom clapped her hands and called to the two children who were building blocks: "Take Lu Li to play in the backyard. The cake will be ready in a moment."

Percy and Moore ran to the backyard with their hands raised. When Lu Li came, they were already sitting in the sand and playing.

Lu Li did not join them. He sat down on the swing next to him and waited quietly for Anna to come back to pick him up.

The children's laughter rippled in the backyard, but Lu Li was always missing something in his heart, and the surrounding area seemed empty.

Percy and Moore found Lu Li sitting alone on the swing.

"It seems like a puppy that can't find its owner." Percy laughed playfully.

Moore threw a handful of sand at him: "Let's play together!"

Lu Li ignored them and continued to sway slightly on the swing.

"Percy, Moore, and Lu Li are here to have some snacks~"

Aunt Tom's call rang from the house. Percy and Moore ran into the house cheeringly, followed by Lu Li. When they came in, they were arguing at the kitchen door.

"I'm the first!"

"I got there first!"

"It's me!"

Aunt Tom smiled and jumped the first piece of cake over their heads and handed it to Lu Li behind.

"Why not give it to us!"

"We were here first!"

"Lu Li is a guest, please let him order."

Aunt Tom smiled and asked Lu Li, who was holding the cake but not eating it: "Don't you like it?"

"I want to leave it to Anna."

"There's still a lot of cake, we can leave it to her, okay?"

"Um."

The children returned to the backyard with their dinner plates. Lu Li sat on the swing and ate carefully and slowly. Percy and Moore pointed here and laughed, not knowing what to say. Then they ran to the corner with weeds.

, wrapped something in a handkerchief, snickered and came to Lu Li who raised his head.

"Don't move, there are bugs in your hair."

Lu Li, who didn't like to be close to others, endured it. He suddenly saw the children's evil smiles and the insects twisting in the handkerchief. Lu Li slapped Moore's hand away, and the handkerchief and the insects fell together.

"There won't be a next time."

Lu Li stared at the disappointed Pacey and Moore warily, and sat in a lonely corner away from them until night came.

Aunt Tom led Lu Li, who was exuding loneliness, to the bedroom. She pointed to the single bed next to the two children's beds and said, "Lu Li, you sleep here tonight."

Pacey and Moore, who were playing with blocks on the bed, refused:

"We don't want to live with him..."

"He doesn't even play with us."

"Lu Li is still very afraid of strangers. You should take more care of him." Aunt Tom said, exiting the room and closing the door.

The silent Lu Li stood motionless behind the door. Percy and Moore looked at each other, quietly opened the window, caught a ladybug and threw it into Lu Li's hair, then pointed at him and covered their stomachs with laughter.

Lu Li suddenly rushed out of the room, ran past the exclaimed Aunt Tom, climbed over the low wall in the backyard, and ran towards the home in his memory.

The surroundings are strange yet familiar, the adults' words are like the whispers of monsters, and the shaking shadows are like twisted monsters.

Monsters lurk in the dark shadows, whispering and rustling, lurking in places where there is no light.

Lu Li ran faster and faster, constantly tripping over the uneven stone road. His knees were scraped, and the wounds felt like they had been drilled into sand.

Finally, Lu Li saw the old door and the light in the window was on.

Peng Pengpeng——

He threw himself behind the door and knocked.

After a while, Anna opened the door with an oil lamp and an axe. Her vigilance turned into shock when she saw the dusty Lu Li. She quickly threw away the axe, and Lu Li quickly threw himself into her arms.

"You are so dirty."

Anna rubbed his head gently, "Why did you come back...what happened?"

"...I don't like living there, I want to go home."

"But this is not our home either."

"But you are here."

He fell several times, the road was dark and scary, and the grievances and confessions made Lu Li's eyes filled with mist.

Just as Anna was about to say something, the phone rang. She led Lu Li to close the door and return to the room, picking up the phone.

"Aunt Tom... yes... um... it's okay, Lu Li has come back, it's just a little conflict between the children... It's okay... an outing? I'm worried... okay, I will ask for leave tomorrow morning... I will take Lu Li with me

Go."

After hanging up the phone, Anna said: "Mrs. Tom invited us to go on an outing tomorrow."

"I don't want to play with them."

Anna squatted in front of Lu Li and gently took his hand.

"Then, will you be by my side then?"

The timid boy took Anna's hand and nodded hesitantly.
