27. The war begins

The Blood Plague Tribe launched a war mobilization.

The gears called war begin to turn. The Ghoul Lair is no exception. Although the Lair has become independent from the blood plague group, the call comes from the oracle of the Ghoul King.

Moreover, Lu Lishi fought against the group of rotten monsters to the last ghoul.

During the short war preparation period, the ghouls in the nest frequently saw a wraith and a white bird floating in the nest, going out with their new leader.

The scale of this war that Lu Li personally instigated was more intense than imagined. All the surrounding ghouls began to move closer to Midnight City. News even came from the Ghost Town hundreds of miles away that a nearby ghoul town was heading east.

Direction to Midnight City.

In order to deal with the mobilized ghouls, Lu Li appropriately exuded humanity and attracted the weirdness around the blood plague tribe.

"We seem to be in trouble."

Lu Li and Claire returned from the east. Claire described the Blood Plague tribe as being like an ant nest, surrounded by dense ants.

The weird ones are like prey, dragged back to their lair and transformed into ghouls.

"No need to feel guilty."

Ophelia's fiery heart softened, and she said to Claire who was sobbing, "Those souls whose souls no longer belong to them are freed."

"I'm not feeling guilty...suck." Claire's wings covered the bird's beak like palms, "It's just Lu Li who made me drool."

"Little Leimi, can you let me have a bite, just one bite..."

"Next, I will lead the ghouls to drive away the monsters in the south, and you will protect them and move them to the farm." Lu Li told Ophelia, and then said to Claire, "Let Chris refine the potion as soon as possible."

The former made reasonable use of the signs of war to achieve his own goals, while the latter helped Lu Li, a dumb cannon, not to arouse suspicion.

After Ophelia and Claire left with their respective missions, Lu Li summoned all the ghouls in the lair.

Thirty-seven ghoul warriors, one hundred and thirteen ghoul civilians, including himself, a total of one hundred and fifty-one - and a few days ago, the number of ghoul warriors was seventeen.

The blood food sacrificed to the Ghoul King is very effective in cultivating ghoul warriors.

If war preparations last long enough, maybe Lu Li can transform all civilians into soldiers.

A few minutes later, the ghouls were huddled in the open space of the lair.

It should be understood that their power is insignificant in this war and cannot make a splash. It does not matter whether they become ghoul warriors or whether they survive or are destroyed.

Lu Li did not intend to speak to the ghoul, whose intelligence was no different from that of a beast. He just led the soldiers and most civilians to cooperate with Ophelia's actions to drive away the southern monsters.

The weirdos are not afraid of the ghoul, but they are afraid of the ghoul king behind the ghoul - when you attack a ghoul, you will only get a puddle of rotten flesh exuding rancid plague, without a soul, and possibly

Cursed by the Ghoul King.

The threat of "Hedgehog" has continued to increase the number of allies of the "King of Remy" and the number of monsters willing to move to the farm, but not all. The southern part of Midnight City is not small. Even if the castle incident and the activation of the Alchemy Tower destroyed many local monsters, there are still a large number of monsters.

Strange things are hidden in the south. They are not afraid of the ghouls, nor the approaching war.

Lu Li avoided these weird things and only targeted those that could be intimidated.

They set off in the early morning and return in the evening. Late at night, a ghoul squad from the outpost brings news that the war has begun.

Claire returns with news that the war is at a stalemate:

The warriors of the ghoul group are like the tide, not afraid of casualties. The corpses replenish the blood pool, and the corpses can hatch new ghouls.

The rotten weird tribe is not afraid of contamination and is individually strong, but cannot be replenished.

Lu Li overlooked the battlefield from Claire's dreamland - the adjacent blocks were like a chessboard, divided by red and black. Ghouls surged into the darkness like a tide. The dark houses and sewers burst out with grotesque rotting monsters like nightmares, tearing and entangling the small ones.

Ghoul.

Blood and body parts were scattered all over the street like a rain of blood.

Warriors rushed out from both sides of the ghoul warlocks who were wielding the withering aura. The ghoul leader pounced on the rotten monster, waving his claws and tearing off pieces of rotten flesh.

Claire said it was like ants crawling on bread crumbs.

Feeling that the time was right, Lu Li led the ghouls out.

The outpost had many more flesh-and-blood buildings than the previous few days, and Lu Li could feel some kind of gaze coming from these buildings.

The soldiers and civilians stayed outside the Scarlet Monastery, and Lu Li followed the ghoul leader into the auditorium like an escort.

The collapsed statue disappeared and was replaced by a seat of flesh and blood. The ghoul leader seemed to have just stepped out of the blood pool, dripping with rich bloody blood and sitting on the flesh, squeezing and splashing blood.

The blood spirit who is suspected to be the second leader of the outpost is right next to him.

"Cowardly bloody man, how dare you come here."

Lu Li said calmly: "The great Ghoul King asked us to prepare for war, and the Ghoul Lair has prepared everything."

"Just because of them..."

Disdain and blood splattered on Lu Li's body.

"You should not question their loyalty to the king."

Lu Li looked directly at the ghoul leader, "All ghouls will fight the heretics until the end."

"snort……"

The ghoul leader grasped the bone whip restlessly: "Blood Spirit, I'll give it to you."

The blood spirit responded and led Lu Li away from the bloody monastery.

"I have witnessed your loyalty to the king...the invitation remains valid."

Blood Spirit seemed to want to test Lu Li, "We have more important things to do than fighting... guarding the outpost, do you know the reason?"

"The outpost is related to the blood plague tribe's retreat."

"Yes, so we don't need to fight the enemy...our battlefield is here."

A large skeletal house stood in the open space in front of it. Lu Li followed the ghoul warlock into the big house and saw a living sand table standing in the center of the big house. A swarm of twisted and greasy blood-colored water polyps squirmed disgustingly, forming a sand table that imitated the terrain surrounding the blood plague tribe.

Lu Li saw a flesh insect representing the ghoul's lair, several flesh insects representing the outpost, a dense swarm of insects representing the blood plague tribe, a lonely polyp in the distance, and a group of connected polyps in the distance.

"You can choose to garrison the Blood Eye Lair." The Blood Spirit's bone staff stopped at the edge of the densely surging bloody polyps. "That is the place closest to the east of the outpost, and it is also the edge of the Blood Plague tribe... If the intensity of the war is

Ascend, you will be attacked."

Its bone staff poked at the edge of a ghoul's lair.

"Or guarding the large warehouse. That is also the edge, the edge of the battlefield... Even if the outpost is attacked, you and your men are still safe."

Lu Li's thoughts moved away from the identity of the blood spirit and he printed the living map on his memory.

"I choose Blood Eye Lair."

The blood spirit pulled at the skinless flesh of his face.

"Your loyalty to the king is impeccable."
