One hundred and eighty. The cry for help in the alley

A homeless man huddled under the streetlight next to the eaves.

There was a layer of raincloth spread under his body to block the damp ground. Although the coolness of the ground could still penetrate into the body through many layers of clothes. This is how his predecessors got sick.

This is one of his carefully selected homes, only slightly worse than the home he has lived in for a long time - everything there is good, but the terrain is too low and it is not rainproof.

Every time it rains it becomes like a stream, so most of the homeless people living there will look for other temporary homes on rainy days.

I should change places, I have to follow other people tomorrow...

The homeless homeless man thought to himself, hugging his dirty clothes tightly.

He thought that many homeless people would come to this sheltered street lamp, but he was the only one. He miscalculated. If there were other people, they could at least hug each other to keep warm, and if they met the patrolling police officers, the scattered companions would be fine.

To attract attention...

When he was picking up garbage during the day, he heard working people standing under the door, smoking tobacco and complaining that the rain would be heavier and colder tomorrow.

So he had to follow other homeless people, and he would definitely get sick by himself.

If I still had one of my hands, I would be like them...

The homeless man thought to himself, curled up again, and put his hands into his arms for warmth.

I hope I can survive tonight.

While half asleep and half awake, a loud noise came into my ears.

The homeless man woke up instantly and planned to put away the raincloth and leave. Except for the newbies, the elderly who have been homeless for some time have developed a good habit of waking up when they hear the noise - because this often means that the police are coming.

Halfway through the action, the homeless man recognized that the noise was not the police officers who liked to yell at them, but a cry for help consisting of cries and chaotic footsteps.

The homeless man didn't want to cause trouble, but his subconscious behavior of looking in the direction of the sound made him see a dark alley not far away. A face full of despair appeared in the light of the street light, and was then touched by hands in the alley.

Pull back.

The homeless man was stunned for a moment, then took out a "dagger" for self-defense - a sharp iron piece made by flattening cans and grinding them.

The screams still echoed in the night sky. The homeless man swallowed his saliva, suddenly gritted his teeth, grabbed the "dagger" and rushed into the alley.

He did not forget to shout, which would give him courage and wake up the wealthy people who lived nearby.

But when the tramp stepped into the alley, the women's cries, the men's laughter, and the tramp's courageous shouts disappeared without a trace together with his figure.

Nothing seems to happen.

Under the streetlight not far away, the warmth left by the previous people on the raincloth gradually disappeared.

There is a carriage approaching in the distance.

The horse-drawn carriage drove along the deserted streets.

The Champs neighborhood is located in the center of Himfast, and is usually home to wealthy people, which means that the infrastructure nearby is better.

Such as street lights.

The crisp sound of horse hooves echoed in the street, which was only a few blocks away from Mary's residence.

After the carriage entered the streetlight area, Anna in the carriage noticed that Lu Li's body was no longer tense.

"What happened?" Anna asked.

"Some little things." Lu Li said without looking back. Just when he was about to tell Anna about the arrival of the black crow, a cry for help pierced the night sky.

Lu Li pulled the reins and stopped the carriage, looking towards where the cry for help came from more than ten meters away.

A dark alley.

This irresistibly reminded Lu Li of the contents on the mailbox.

"I feel the same kind of breath... a resentful... ghost... a resentful spirit."

The car curtain that fell on her shoulders was opened, and Anna came to Lu Li from the car and whispered.

Lu Li also felt it, and the malice that made it difficult for him to breathe came from the alley.

The reduced sanity value greatly improved Lu Li's perception of those existences, even without using the psychic gun.

The note in the mailbox didn't say what would happen if he encountered [the cry for help in the alley], but it wouldn't be a good thing.

Lu Li pulled up the reins and was about to leave the area, but Anna stopped him: "Don't leave, its mental projection has enveloped this place. We are in its ritual... If we leave, we will suffer the same attacks as if the ritual failed."

Mental projection is what the evil spirits use to release rituals, and when the power reaches the evil spirits, the mental projection will become the true form of those ghosts who have lost their humanity.

This is why evil spirits always take various forms.

"Can we deal with it?" Lu Li asked calmly.

"The projection is stronger than me..." Anna narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists: "But if it wants to attack you, I can protect you!"

Lu Li nodded, and suddenly said at this moment: "While you were in Mary's room, the black crow sent a regional broadcast. You can understand it as a notification. It describes a new event, named [Call for Help in the Alley]..."

Anna didn't understand why Lu Li was talking about the past here. After hearing this, Anna's confusion faded from her eyes and she waited quietly until Lu Li finished speaking.

"There seems to be no useful information at all."

"Yes, we have to deal with it ourselves."

"What to do?"

"Observe the situation first."

The continuous calls for help were suddenly mixed with the sounds of running, getting closer and closer to the exit.

An unkempt, blood-stained woman's face appeared on the edge of a dark alley, pale and scarlet under the streetlight. She looked at the location of the carriage, opened her mouth and was about to say something, when several pairs of thick men's arms came from her

A figure reached out from the thick darkness behind her, grabbed the woman's hair and cheeks, and dragged her back to the alley.

Lu Li watched quietly.

Cries for help sounded intermittently, and the sound of dragging gradually moved away from the alley. In addition, men's menacing laughter began to sound.

A few seconds after the dragging sound stopped, a scream suddenly came from the alley.

Lu Li was still watching quietly.

The cry for help no longer sounded, but had been completely replaced by screams and screams, mixed with the men's laughter. The sound was so sad and tragic, as if the darkest evil was happening in the alley, so much so that Anna pressed the button of resistance.

Unable to control his emotions, his pupils turned scarlet, and his body leaned forward slightly, wanting to save someone.

She suddenly thought of something and turned her head to look at the motionless Lu Li. The scarlet color in her pupils faded and her mood gradually calmed down.

She knew that Lu Li never made mistakes, so he had his own reasons for doing so.

If Lu Li was wrong...then the other party must be the one with the problem.

Lu Li was still watching quietly.

The hoarse screams lasted for two or three minutes. During this period, no nearby residents were awakened and no passers-by appeared.

The screams began to fade away, and calm returned to the surrounding alley.

Everything is silent.

Disappeared?

not yet.

Anna could still feel the boiling atmosphere around the alley, and Lu Li could still feel the malice oppressing his chest.

Ten seconds later, a low, slow and vicious female voice slowly floated out from the alley.

"Why don't you save me?"
