One hundred and eighty-six. Transactions

Anna and Dracula are fundamentally different.

The former once really existed in this world and had a human identity. Dracula, on the other hand, has been in the painting since his birth and has no memory of being a human being - or he is not human in the first place.

However, we have to wait for the merchant to appear before we can determine what kind of existence it is. After all, only humans can become ghosts.

On the way back, he passed the burned-down library. It was unchanged from the last time Lu Li came here, and no one cared about it.

As Lu Li passed by, he felt a sense of being watched that was not malicious, and he remembered that there was a resentful spirit hidden in the basement under the ruins.

Lu Li tilted his head slightly, and a soft humming sound that only he could hear came from the void beside him.

With Anna here, he no longer needed to avoid contact with this wraith.

But not now, Lu Li is waiting for something better.

For example, the situation in the basement was discovered by the investigator base and the incident was announced.

Before dark, Lu Li returned to the detective agency on foot. Anna got into the kitchen to light a fire and cook. Lu Li placed the portrait of Count Dracula, who had no longer made a sound, behind the door, next to the deep sea stone.

The sky outside the window was completely dark, and the two oil lamps lit in the detective agency brought a faint light.

It's not as bright as the electric lights at Mary's house, but it brings warmth.

After a while, Anna came out with pork, boiled potatoes and steamed fish at the same time.

The aroma of the broth mixed with the aroma of fish makes people appetite, but the taste... at least the pork and boiled potatoes are still at Anna's usual level.

Although the steamed fish doesn't taste very good, at least Anna has learned how to remove the internal organs and fish scales, so it can be swallowed.

Putting aside the feeling of nausea after a meal.

After dinner it was time to rest. After Lu Li washed up, Anna brought an oil lamp to the bedroom, threw herself on the bed and covered herself with a quilt - even though she did not feel the softness and warmth of the quilt.

"Good night."

Anna shouted outside the bedroom.

There was no answer. Lu Li was lying flat on the sofa with his arms on his forehead, seemingly falling asleep.

The detective agency became quiet.

An occasional gust of wind will cause dense raindrops to fall on the windows, making a crisp sound.

call……

The wind seems to have penetrated into the detective agency, wandering around, gently blowing weightless things.

For example, the white cloth covering the portrait.

The white cloth was slightly lifted and dropped again,

call……

Another gust of wind blew by, stronger than before, and the white cloth swelled, revealing a corner of the portrait.

This gust of wind was a bit weird because the curtains didn't move at all.

call……

The wind became stronger again, and the white cloth blew up and fell down, sliding down a small distance silently.

Huh...huh...huh...

The rhythmic sound of wind continued to sound in the corner of the detective agency.

Maybe a few minutes, maybe ten minutes, the last sound of wind sounded, and the white cloth covering the portrait began to slide downwards, revealing the figure of a slightly panting middle-aged man in the portrait.

Dracula had no time to be happy, and his entire face froze. Outside the portrait, he saw an expressionless sculptured face staring at him blankly.

What's going on with that black-haired man...Why does he have everything in his house!?

Dracula, who could not speak, looked at the sculpture in despair and closed his eyes silently.

As a being in the gallery, Dracula certainly knows the characteristics of his companion.

The fallen white cloth was picked up by a pair of artistic but colorless palms and covered the oil painting again.

The detective agency hibernates in silence again.

There was no weird wind noise this time.

5:30 in the morning.

The time when the sky was already brightening in the past is still gloomy today.

Thick dark clouds covered the sky, and the sound of rain fell into the detective agency.

There was no need for Anna to call. Lu Li, who already had a biological clock, woke up on time. He stayed quiet and listened to the noises coming from the neighbors living in the longhouse.

"What, you're already awake." Anna, who quietly walked out of the bedroom, saw Lu Li open his eyes, muttered, and opened the curtains on the sofa.

"It's raining so heavily...it seems like it's still the rain of abnormal changes? It seems like I won't be able to go out today."

Anna rubbed her eyes and walked into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for Lu Li.

It's all leftover from last night, just heat it up.

The Rain of Change...

Lu Li looked out the window at the dim sky. The dark clouds were dark and depressing.

Pedestrians have begun to walk on the street, so they don't know the danger of the strange rain? Or is there something hidden inside?

Lu Li sat up from the sofa, spent a few minutes doing some menstruation and cleaning, returned to his desk, sat down, and picked up the phone to call Tesla.

"Lu Li? What's the matter?" Tesla's gentle voice quickly sounded.

Lu Li asked him about the specific effects of the strange rain.

Tesla pondered and said: "The rain of mutation has the least influence among the three current disasters. It can only transform dead objects without consciousness, but cannot transform living things. We will catch a cold at most if we get caught in the rain, so don't worry.

You just need to be careful of some weird things born from the rain of mutation."

"I remember that you are in urgent need of money. After the rain of mutations in each area, a special event will be released, inviting all investigators in the area to deal with the weirdness, and then the investigator headquarters will reward contribution points. If you are interested, you can exchange one

Just follow you and it will record all your actions."

"I see."

After hanging up the phone, Lu Li returned to the dining table and sat down.

Anna, who was ready to wait for a while in the morning and evening, asked tentatively: "We can't go out today, right?"

"You can go out, but you can't go to the elm forest." Lu Li replied.

"Oh." Anna nodded, understanding Lu Li's decision.

The visibility outside was too poor, and there was still a long mountain road. They might have to walk in the woods all day without finding anything.

"But what does it mean to be able to go out?"

Lu Li told Anna the contents of the phone call, and the latter's eyes flashed: "I want to go too!"

She has wanted to show her ability to protect Lu Li for a long time.

"Um."

Lu Li put down the big spoon, picked up the wooden house and took a sip of the broth.

Anna asked excitedly: "When will we do it?"

"Wait for the merchant or Black Crow." Lu Li replied.

Merchants and messengers usually arrive some time after dawn.

After breakfast, Lu Li waited in the detective agency for a while. Probably because the review had not finished or the heavy rain had affected the flight speed, the knock on the door came first before the knock on the window.

The wet clothes dripped down, and a small pool of water gathered on the floor around the boots.

"Do you need to trade?" A voice came from behind the damp scarf, getting straight to the point.

Lu Li nodded and asked about the price of the deep sea stone.

"899 contribution points."

Equivalent to 8990 shillings.

Only three days have passed, and the price of deep sea stone has increased by 110 shillings.

And this time Lu Li did not enjoy the discount.

Lu Li nodded, picked up the portrait covered with white cloth behind the door and handed it to the merchant.

"Will you accept a living weirdo?"
