Two hundred and seventy-five. The death of Petra

The swaying candlelight distorted the shadows, and the moss crushed into dark green juice covered the face coldly.

Unintelligible and obscure incantations echoed in my ears.

Black spots like shadows appeared on the conscious body of Petra. The moss-smeared clothes and skin seemed to have been corrupted, and only the uneven surface remained after being shrouded in black.

The last part of my chest was shrouded in darkness.

Sara chanted the last few syllables of her incantation.

Petra's chest stopped rising and falling.

【Everything is lonely.】

[The light in the basement was suddenly distorted, the candlelight was fragmented, and then restored in an instant, as if it was just an illusion before. 】

[Only Petra, whose head was turning, proved that the scene was not the hallucination of everyone in the basement.]

"Don't forget your promise."

"Don't forget your promise." Petra stared at Lu Li in the corner, her body collapsed towards the table, as if melting, turning into black ink in an instant, pouring down the long table, gathering and spreading,

Flow along the gaps between the stone bricks.]

Some "ink" splashed on Lu Li's legs, but Irene didn't get it because her legs were shorter.

Sarah in the story could not understand the sudden scene, and Irene opened her lips with surprise mixed with sadness in her eyes.

She didn't know if those words were spoken by Petra's own consciousness or controlled by the shadow of the string.

There is no chance of solving this problem.

For a long time, Sarah and the plot ignored Lu Li and the Baron by the wall. Sarah was trying to figure out why that scene happened.

She went to collect the "ink" that Petra had turned into, but at some point, the liquid turned into dust and powder like ashes.

Including a few drops of "ink" that landed on Lu Li's trouser legs. They were shaken off by Lu Li's movements and fell and dissipated.

Of course, Sarah couldn't figure out what it was. She could only temporarily put away part of "Petra's powder" and then continue the experiment.

Today, she has no shortage of guinea pigs.

Lu Li is next, and Baron Sara will stay until the end.

She had something to say to Erin, and... revenge.

Dinner often comes after dessert and tea.

"Vinson" untied Lu Li's chains, brought him to the assembled altar, and lay down on the long table where "Petra powder" still remained.

Lu Li tilted his head and said to the baron who became nervous again: "Petra is a thoughtful person. Petra did not tell her friend's address."

Lu Li's words were difficult to understand, even a little strange. Sara's thoughts were involuntarily led by him to Petra's last words.

Petra is good at thinking, Petra didn’t tell her friend’s address…

The Baron was vaguely aware of something, but when she saw Sarah picking up the dagger, she put aside her vague speculation and shouted: "What if you kill us Petra's last words?!"

Sarah ignored the baron's loud shout and approached the table holding the dagger.

Lu Li, who was bound by the plot, couldn't move. He signaled Anna not to take action now, and calmly watched Sara start to apply moss from her chest.

Thinking of Petra's last words, Lu Li took the initiative to talk to Sarah: "Why don't you summarize the previous experiments and find the reason why the resurrection failed."

We've been doing it wrong all along - that's what Petra's last words really meant.

Petra's last words were false. He had no friends to whom he needed to convey his last words, so he didn't tell Lu Li how to contact that friend. Petra made up fictitious friends, or in other words, the friends actually referred to themselves, and

In her last words, the "she" being pursued by her friend refers to Sarah.

Petra is metaphorically saying, don't fight Sarah, because you will never win. Sarah is the protagonist, and the protagonist represents the perspective of a book. The bad thing is that they are standing on the opposite side of the protagonist.

There are stories in which the protagonist dies, and stories in which the protagonist is killed by enemies also exist, but "Sarah's Book of the Dead" will not be such a story.

Petra wanted Lu Li and the Baron to change, and to get in touch with Sara, it was best to become friends of the same camp.

It's a pity that Petra found out too late. He couldn't even save himself. He could only wrap it in the shell of his last words, hide it from the eyes and ears of the evil spirit, and tell Lu Li and the Baron how to do it.

Lu Li understands, and maybe the Baron understands.

Sara ignored Lu Li's words and applied the moss expressionlessly.

The wet and cold feeling came through the shirt, and it felt as bad as the sea water was rising. Lu Li continued to talk to Sarah: "How did Adam die? Was he killed by the Viscount?"

[Sarah stopped what she was doing, as if looking at the lifeless scarecrow: "You don't deserve to mention him."]

"I have never objected to you, nor have I reported anything." Lu Li shook his head and replied.

Sarah returned to silence, and Lu Li's subsequent words did not receive any response, as if he was already a dead person.

Emotion is Lu Li's weak point, and he doesn't know what to say to elicit Sara's ideas and answers. Sara finally smeared moss on Lu Li's face and began to place burning candles.

"Adam must hate you very much."

Suddenly the baron shouted in the basement.

Lu Li turned his head and saw the baron nodding towards him.

She understands.

The mention of "Adam" attracted Sara's attention, and her paranoid cheeks lifted.

"You are here to resurrect Adam, right... Not to mention what he will think about what you have done, do you think he is willing to risk his own life at your whim?"

As a nobleman, the Baron understands people's hearts better than Lu Li and has seen more human nature than Lu Li.

In Sara's silence, the Baron continued to sneer: "You think you want to break free from the cage, but what you do to your lover is just like what your father did to you, you create a cage and lock him in...

If you stare into the abyss for too long, you will turn into an abyss. You are indeed a nobleman."

The baron seemed to be venting his innermost feelings.

"oh."

Sarah's reply was one word of indifference.

[Sarah's heart was filled with disgust for herself and her father, but she sadly found that she could not stop... Adam died because of herself, and she had to resurrect him, even if he would resent herself for it...]

Sarah's obsession runs deep, and accusing her of being like her father doesn't have much effect.

Most of the candles are already placed on the black table.

The baron's words reminded Lu Li, and he followed the baron's train of thought: "Sarah, do you still remember your mother?"

【Danglang——】

[The candle was knocked over by Sarah, rolling to the edge of melting, and the wax dripped on the wooden table, quickly solidifying. The expressionless Sarah suddenly raised her head and stared closely at Lu Li who said "that person".]

"It seems you have forgotten, alas." Lu Li calmly said the onomatopoeia of sighing.

["What do you want to say..." Sara's voice suppressed a certain emotion. How could she forget... She would always remember the day she was taken away from her mother... After that, she often woke up from her dreams with a smile on her face.

The scars call for mother.]

Sarah's mother is still alive and is a "positive figure."

Lu Li took advantage of this and said, "Auntie asked Irene and I to take good care of you, but we failed her request."
