Three hundred and nineteen. Banyan Tree Jungle

"Mother of the swamp, is the banyan tree your servant?"

Lu Li asked, remembering his last experience, those weird banyan trees with tree holes, and the help from the banyan tree when he finally escaped from the swamp.

Lu Li's words received no response. The Mother of Swamp sculpture remained silent, no different from an ordinary clay sculpture, as if the consciousness of the evil god had left the sculpture.

Lu Li put the Mother of Swamp sculpture close to the counter. The counter, which slowly rattled because of Anna's presence, did not speed up the frequency——

The Swamp Mother has left.

After putting away the sculpture, Lu Li turned around and told Anna Qiaoqiao what happened.

"Is it really a trap?!" After learning that the Swamp Mother disappeared, Qiao Qiao couldn't think of the second possibility.

"not necessarily."

Black eyes fell in front of him, and the shadow people hid behind the dead trees, waiting for them to approach.

If it's a trap, Swamp Mother should lead them to their destination instead of leaving them on the way.

Maybe something happened that they didn't know about.

"It's time for us to leave." Anna, who had been silent for a long time, said, objecting to Lu Li for the first time: "I won't let you take risks anymore."

There was gloom in Qiaoqiao's eyes, but also relief. She noticed Anna's hostility towards her, and pursed her pale lips: "...Anna is right, you shouldn't take risks anymore."

Lu Li raised his eyes and stared at the unwilling Anna: "The Mother of the Swamp will not let us leave."

The eyes that were once as clear as stars were filled with scarlet red, filled with a chilling coldness: "Then kill out."

"We know this is impossible." Lu Li shook his head gently. After entering the depths, they were already on the same rope as the Swamp Mother to a certain extent. Unless either the Swamp Mother or the unknown evil god failed, Lu Li had no way out.

"Avoid these banyan trees and follow the Yingchuo people. The ship should be not far ahead." Lu Li left his words and stepped forward.

Anna's eyes fell on Qiao Qiao indifferently, and her figure gradually faded away.

Qiao Qiao hesitated and followed Lu Li.

The dead trees in the swamp jungle were gradually replaced by strange and ominous banyan trees.

They are dead, and their root corpses hang down like cloth. The wind cannot blow into the banyan forest, the air is solidified, and everything tends to be still, lifeless and like twilight.

The Shadow Man, who had always been hiding behind trees when outside the swamp, no longer approached the surrounding banyan trees. It also avoided them. Maybe it didn't want to touch the hanging roots, or maybe it was for other reasons.

In any case, Lu Li, who had seen a strange banyan tree attack before, would not approach them rashly.

They are very close to each other, the roots extending in the mud are almost entangled, the unimaginable huge canopy almost blocks the sky, and whispers surge in the darkness.

It was only a short distance into the banyan jungle. The increasingly dark environment and the entangled tree roots on the ground forced Lu Li and Qiao Qiao to light their oil lamps.

A hazy yellow light lit up and spread throughout the body.

What was surprising was that dust and indescribable flocs were floating in the silent and solid air, floating in the air like elves, moving slowly, and as Lu Li and Qiao Qiao approached, if they were disturbed, they surged and disappeared.

Lu Li and Qiao Qiao kept quiet and did not disturb the silence of the jungle.

Although lighting the oil lamp inevitably made them more visible, there was good news - no weirdos dared to set foot in this dark twilight forest.

Except the banyan tree itself.

Lu Li and the others avoided the roots hanging from the thick tree branches and the roots crisscrossing under their feet, but things would never go smoothly.

At a certain moment, Lu Li observed that the silent roots hanging around seemed to be lifted up by the passing air flow, floating slightly, and stretching towards the place they passed.

Of course they weren't caused by the breeze - the wind couldn't make them point at Lu Li and others invariably.

But what Gensu seemed to notice was not Lu Li and Qiao Qiao...but Anna.

Lu Li stopped and looked into the air where the roots were extending, sensing that Anna was there.

He put his hands deeply together, and the palms of his hands slowly came closer, and finally they came together.

Anna understood what he meant, and the overflowing aura of resentful spirits gradually receded, and the attracted roots around her drooped slightly, but they did not completely regain their composure.

Before this, Anna had been unable to completely contain her aura, and after the previous outbreak, the degree of pollution she had received from the other world had irreversibly increased.

Anna controlled her own aura and distanced herself from Lu Li. She was able to help Lu Li at any time without affecting Lu Li's distance.

Perhaps because Lu Li and others avoided the hanging roots and tree roots under the mud, or perhaps the banyan jungle was not interested in them, Lu Li and Qiao Qiao safely crossed a long distance.

When the surrounding woods began to become sparse, Lu Li stopped and looked up ahead.

The shadowy figure is in front, and the sound of running water is also in front.

The sound of the flowing river diluted the tranquility of the swamp jungle, making people feel at ease inexplicably. Lu Li approached Ying Chuo Ren, stood beside Ying Chuo Ren, who was covered in darkness and looked like a burnt person, and looked forward.

A few meters away, a gurgling stream about ten meters wide divided the banyan tree jungle, splashing water and rushing downstream.

Qiao Qiao didn't dare to look directly at Ying Chuo, so she stopped behind Lu Li and looked away.

With no one watching, Ying Chuoren suddenly disappeared and did not appear on the other side or downstream.

In the stream upstream, a shadowy man stood calf-deep in the stream. Lu Li looked further upstream and saw the vague outline of a man-made object floating in the stream a hundred meters away.

Lu Li and Qiao Qiao were walking on the shore. After some distance, the banyan tree approached and they had to enter the stream. The muddy water surged downwards and they flowed upwards.

The surrounding banyan jungle has not changed, and the outline in the stream ahead gradually becomes more and more obvious.

A strange rock stood erected more than ten meters away. Lu Li approached it and raised his oil lamp.

Half of the huge rusty iron anchor was smashed into the river bottom, and the arm-thick iron chain was spread under the river surface, covered by the silt, with only its outline extending to the black shadow ahead.

Walking along the direction of the chain extension, Lu Li and Qiao Qiao arrived in front of the huge black shadow after a minute.

A rusty masted steamer lay across the stream, fifty meters or even longer. The bow and stern of the ship extended into the banyan forest, surrounded by large fallen banyan trees. The cut off stream bypassed both sides and was re-opened on the ship.

Gather later.

They walked under the ship. It was sunk deeply into the river mud, but the deck was still above a height of 4 to 5 meters. The rusty water on the surface reflected the light of the oil lamp.

The sound of the stream was masked, so Lu Li didn't have to worry about disturbing the banyan trees on the shore: "Anna, look at where to get on the boat."

Anna emerged and floated onto the deck looking for a suitable place to enter.

Qiaoqiao lowered his head nervously. On the water, their reflections were constantly breaking and reorganizing.

Her brother might be inside.
