9. Overlooking the weirdness of Belfast

Belfast is as bustling as a festival today.

The mist-covered bluestone streets are filled with carriages and pedestrians. Even if the air is shrouded in the pungent smell of burning wood that cannot be washed away by drizzle, you can still vaguely see the bustling harbor filled with ships in the bay.

Belfast and Himfast are both "Fast" cities, but Himfast is difficult to compare with them in terms of population and landscape.

Just looking over the back of the mountain, standing on the top of the mountain and looking down, the houses and streets extending downward in an orderly manner, the crescent-shaped bay and the vast sea beyond are enough to be amazing.

The carriages lined with traffic in front of them opened their curtains one after another, looking out at the scenery and marveling at the prosperity of Belfast.

The final prosperity.

Driving into Belfast, the carriages with different purposes dispersed, but most of them were still in the convoy, heading towards Rodster Port, the destination of most people.

The two carriages in front of Lu Li turned towards Agate Lake. The wind blew the curtains, revealing the noble lady in the carriage who was covering her mouth and nose with a handkerchief and showing disgust.

She was indeed going to Baron Joseph's manor.

Half an hour later, Lu Li returned to the familiar Sailor Street.

The storm dissipated yesterday afternoon. After the newspaper published the news that the next storm would be two or three days later, the residents living in wooden houses couldn't wait to remove the wooden bars blocking the windows and opened the windows in an attempt to disperse in the rainy weather.

Get rid of the smell of damp, rotten wood in your house.

The carriage stopped in front of the long house. Lu Li, Aunt Mary, and the hidden Anna got out of the carriage, nodded to the familiar faces who greeted them eagerly, and walked into the dim corridor behind the door.

Two days have passed, and except for the removal of sandbags in front of the door, there seems to be no change in the longhouse.

The severe rotten smell emitted by the wooden corpse made Aunt Mary feel a little uncomfortable. Most of the doors on the corridor were closed tightly, and it seemed that no one was there. She followed Lu Li and walked to a wooden door: "You guys live like this

The environment..."

"And in the forest on the mountain." Anna's whisper came from the void.

Squatting in front of the carpet to pick up the copper key, Lu Li suddenly tilted his head slightly.

A plush doll was leaning against the door, with two buttons for eyes and patches on its body, but still exposed a corner of black cotton stuffing.

There is an envelope standing next to the stuffed toy.

Picking up the envelope, Lu Li stood up, inserted the copper key, and answered Aunt Mary's surprise: "We have been short of money."

squeak - squeak -

The damp and swollen wooden door scraped against the floor, leaving rainbow-like marks.

Surprisingly, the expected strong rotten smell did not flow into the corridor.

The sculpture that was originally beside the clothes rack behind the door and now sits in a wooden chair behind the desk explains who the initiator was.

Aunt Mary also saw the female sculpture sitting in a prominent position, but she thought it was Lu Li who placed it there intentionally and didn't think much about it.

Until Anna emerged and said softly: "Are we going to take away the statue?"

Lu Li did not answer. He walked to the desk and looked directly at the wooden chair sitting on it. It was exquisite and beautiful, but without any color. "We are leaving here to go to the Lennon Islands. What is your choice?"

There was no response for a long time. Lu Li turned around and told Anna and Aunt Mary not to look at the sculpture. He walked around the desk, took out a notebook from the drawer and tore out two pages.

One says stay and the other says leave.

He closed his eyes briefly, and when he opened them, the attached pale and colorless arm pointed to stay.

"Okay. It doesn't want to leave with us."

Lu Li balled up the two pieces of paper and threw them into a clean trash can.

He opened the envelope, took out the letter and finished it quickly. He turned back to Anna and Aunt Mary and said: "Anna, let's go to the Elm Forest. Remy and Jimmy have already arrived. When we come back, we will go to Tesla's mansion to say goodbye, and then after finishing the trivial matters, we will go to the harbor.

.”

For example, sell the detective agency and go to the investigator base to receive a new container that can hold the psychic gun.

Lu Li didn't know many people, so he didn't need to spend too long saying goodbye.

"Tesla Mansion...should I go too?" Anna was still not used to showing up in front of other people.

Lu Li looked at Anna and said, "Tesla's wife has wanted to see you for a long time. She is just like you. It's best to see her before leaving."

And he needed to know how things were going with The Door and Richard.

If possible, it is best to resolve it before leaving Belfast in the evening.

"Yeah." Anna agreed.

Lu Li said to Aunt Mary: "The ferry tickets will be delivered soon. Please stay here to sign for the tickets and wait for us to come back."

Aunt Mary nodded, and then asked with some embarrassment: "Do I want to be with...the statue...Miss?"

She is just an ordinary person after all.

"The statue is harmless, you don't have to worry."

Lu Li replied, but her words reminded Lu Li.

They are leaving Belfast and how to arrange the sculptures that they don't want to leave.

Lu Li bent down and took out the two pieces of paper that were bunched up in the wastebasket, unfolded the crumpled papers and put them back on the table: "We are leaving. You can choose to live in a refuge. Anna's sister is also there. Or I can contact you.

United organizations, send you back to Benjamin.

"Leave the representative behind and go to the refuge."

After opening and closing its eyes again, the statue chose to go to the refuge point.

Lu Li turned back to Anna and said, "Take it with you and let's go."

He left the detective agency with the sculpture and returned to the carriage. Lu Li, wearing a poncho, picked up the reins.

Just as he was about to leave, urgent shouts rang out from the horseshoes.

"Mr. Lu Li! Please wait a moment...please wait a moment!"

A gorgeous carriage drove by, and a woman leaned out of the carriage and shouted to him.

Lu Li remembered her, the head maid of Baron Joseph's family.

An Jing waited until the carriage arrived. The head maid bowed slightly and told Lu Li: "Finally, you are back. The Baron will leave Belfast soon. Today is the last day of the farewell banquet. The Baron asked me to call you to go.

Said it was important."

"She's going to the Lennon Islands?" Lu Li asked.

The head maid knew the relationship between the man in front of her and the baron and did not hide it: "The baron will go to the refuge built by exorcists."

Unexpectedly, Lu Li thought that Baron Joseph would go to the Lennon Islands - compared to underground shelters that never see the light of day, the Lennon Islands should be more suitable for the aristocrats and wealthy people.

Even waiting for death to come, there will be more dignity there.

"When will it start?" Lu Li asked.

"Back to your Excellency, the banquet will start at 12 noon."

"Tell the Baron I will come."

You have enough time, and the Baron Manor and Tesla's Mansion are both on the banks of Agate Lake, so you can drop by.

"Then I will go and tell the Baron that she will be delighted with your arrival."

The head maid said goodbye to Lu Li, turned around and left the carriage.

Lu Li withdrew his gaze, pulled the reins, and drove in the opposite direction where the head maid left. The carriage gradually disappeared into the morning mist.
