43. The third believer

Perhaps Lu Li should be like a true "god", hiding behind the scenes and remaining silent. All advice is created by believers, and all processes are considered by believers.

The morning light shines into the church, and the soothing sound of the organ comes as promised.

Lu Li, who was sitting on a wooden chair, didn't wait too long when a frightened cry for help suddenly came from outside the church.

Chaotic footsteps broke into the church, and a girl's cry for help echoed in the empty church.

"Help - is there anyone...someone please help me!"

In the confession room, Lu Li's eyes followed the movement of the hazy figure through the hollow wooden wall.

The girl stumbled into the pews and shouted for help. The only answer to her was the echo that came back from the empty church.

But the girl discovered the confession room on the edge, and seemed to feel a figure inside. She rushed to the confession room like a straw for help and quickly grabbed the door handle of the confession room and shook it: "Is there anyone in there?"

There was no sound, but the girl firmly believed that there was someone hiding in the confessional. She cried and begged: "Please help me... A group of bad guys are chasing me. They don't dare to break into the church, they are outside! Please...

…”

But no matter how much the girl cried for help, no sound came out of the confessional.

The girl whose voice was almost hoarse finally gave up, thinking that the people in the confessional would not help her, or that there was no one inside.

When shouts and curses were heard outside the church, the girl let go of the doorknob in despair, and turned around to face the misery, when two pieces of rough paper spun around and landed at her feet.

The girl lowered her head and picked up the two papers with written content. One was almost full, while the other only had a few sentences.

[Don't hide in the church, sinners don't have gods in mind. They may break in soon. Hide for now and wait until they come in to escape. Read the second piece of paper after it is safe]

"Thank you, Father!"

The girl who had regained her hope seemed to be happy, and her hazy figure walked away, disappearing around a corner that Lu Li couldn't see.

The time outside the confessional did not speed up because the girl left. Just a few dozen seconds later, a few figures broke into the church amid the noise.

"This is a church, how dare you..."

The sound stopped abruptly as the figures in front of several figures were pushed down, and the group of intruders searched the solemn church like gangsters.

"What are you doing?" an old voice sounded, and the priest appeared in the church.

"Looking for someone, did a girl run in just now?"

"There are no girls here. You are the first guests today."

Of course, those who dared to break into the church would not be afraid of the priest. They did not believe what the priest said and continued to search the church.

"Lord...please forgive these pagans who disrespect you." The priest whispered.

The church is not suitable for hiding people. Soon, the bad guys who found nothing focused their attention on the confessional, which seemed to be the only place where someone could be hiding.

The priest did not stop them and watched them approach the confessional, then violently opened the bolted wooden door.

Lu Li, who was sitting in the confessional, raised his eyes and looked at the intruder who opened the wooden door.

Their eyes crossed, and the intruder seemed unable to see Lu Li sitting in the confession room. He looked confused and irritable, and slammed the wooden door, causing the confession room to shake.

"The girl is not here, let's go."

There was a sound outside the door, and figures walked out of the church.

This seemed like the perfect time to show off the "miracle".

Lu Li thought.

So a few seconds later, a piece of paper popped out of the wide hole in the confessional and fell to the ground.

Unfortunately, it was a little slow. The bad guys had already walked a few meters away. They couldn't see or hear the sound of the paper falling to the ground or the faint sound.

The church returned to silence, and the organ, which had been interrupted by the intruders, started flowing again.

Lu Li's eyes suddenly moved away from the door where the bad guys left. A figure silently approached the confession room, bent down and picked up the papers scattered on the ground.

"Do you know your sin..."

The priest whispered what was on the paper and looked towards the confessional.

Even the wooden wall could not block his doubtful sight.

The result was different from what Lu Li imagined, but it was better than getting no response at all.

Lu Li picked up the quill and wrote new content, then held out the wide hole.

【The world needs your help】

"...who are you?"

The priest's question contained an imperceptible tremor.

Lu Li didn't respond, nor did he need to respond. He didn't know who the priest was, or even where he was, so keeping it a secret was the best choice.

After handing over the paper, he began to write what he wanted the priest to do.

He has already written one before, so now he just needs to rewrite it and add some content.

Most clergy are patient, including the priest in the confessional.

Two minutes later, the priest, who was anxious and eagerly anticipating something, finally received the second "oracle" that appeared in the confessional.

[Olivia Kiken, her child has asthma and needs a lot of money. The impoverished Olivia plans to intercept Viscount Reeves' carriage, but she can only die there. Found in the name of the church

Her, help her]

[Green Pierce, whose Christian name is Arthur, you may still remember him. When his daughter was bullied by gangsters, the impulsive Green killed them, and was killed by the revenge gang soon after. Stop this from happening and save the poor girl.

Green]

[These things may be about to happen, or they may have already happened. No matter what, go and help these people in need. 】

[And... maybe I will appear again next time. Pay attention to the confessional and listen to my words]

Lu Li still did not give up on changing their trajectory, and it was best to leave a backup plan to get help from the church when needed.

If the priest was a devout believer, he would do something.

After reading the contents on the paper, the priest glanced at the confession room in disbelief, then bowed slightly in silence and left the hall.

No sound came from the confessional, as if there was nothing inside.

After the priest left, the light and shadow in the church began to change.

The sound of the organ disappeared, and in the quiet dusk, a figure with a long and narrow shadow walked into the church.

Green's daughter, Lu Li had met her on the upper floor.

She came to the church...then the situation didn't change for the better...

As time passed, whispers and cries could be heard faintly, and a few minutes later, the crying girl left the church.

The priest did not appear to comfort her.

Lu Li knew something must have happened.

Hua Hua——Hua Hua——

The two nuns who swept the church entered the church and brought the unchanged news that Olivia had been hit and killed by a carriage.

"I don't know what happened to Father Thomas. He suddenly went to offend the Viscount."

At some point, the chatting nun said something new.

"Who in Tower Wind City doesn't know that Viscount Reeves hates people in the church the most, and they don't know whether Father Thomas will be lynched."

"Don't worry, he won't dare..."

After cleaning the ground, the nuns who were talking gradually moved away.
