Seventy-five. Once the first test

Frankly speaking, Richard did not show corresponding wisdom in the first test.

Different from Lu Li who is calm and uses his wisdom, he only has ridiculous courage and luck, which allowed him to successfully pass the test of being too tolerant.

But it is undeniable that such a reckless boy is usually the core and protagonist of a story.

Maybe this is why Richard is so paranoid and believes he can become the new Old God?

Lu Li stood quietly in the boundless darkness, waiting. Light gradually lit up in front of him, and Richard's silhouette reappeared.

Different from the Richard we just met, the Richard who appeared again had many changes, such as his clothes and demeanor.

During the first test, Richard's mood was fearful and uneasy, like a deer that strayed into the depths of a dangerous jungle, wary of everything and fearful.

This time, he was still thin, but he no longer had the malnourished and rickety look, and the look in his eyes was filled with excitement and excitement.

The Richard in front of him was closer to the Richard Lu Li met now.

Considering that Richard's first test was most likely by mistake, and the second test was at least dozens of days apart, enough for him to know what he encountered and make a plan, the change in his demeanor was natural.

So what will the well-prepared Richard do in the second test?

Richard still couldn't notice Lu Li behind him. In front of him, a row of carved wooden doors stretched forward.

Lu Li knew what was about to happen and watched silently as Richard walked to the first wooden door and opened it.

The first believer, Olivia Kicken. For the sake of her asthmatic child, she came to the confessional to pray for the Lord’s help. At first, Richard, like Lu Li, tried to have a conversation, but when he found that the words could not be heard by outsiders,

I heard that communication was changed to paper.

Lu Li, who was standing behind the wooden chair, looked at what he was scribbling: [Is his illness serious?]

It was a fair answer, but it was rare to see it coming from Richard.

"The blood that little Kicken coughed up almost wet the entire handkerchief..." Olivia Kicken sobbed.

【Are you willing to give everything for your children?】

"Of course! I would rather trade my life for him to live healthy..."

Richard's emotions became complicated. I wonder if it was related to the fact that he was born on the street and never saw his parents.

[He has a good mother, but I don’t know if you can give everything as you said...]

Richard then wrote his suggestions on a second piece of paper.

[Do whatever you can, steal, rob, kidnap, whatever you can do to get money, for your children]

Outside the wide hole, Olivia Kiken held the paper tightly and was hesitating.

【Life is not fair to you, and you don’t need to treat it fairly.】

The third piece of paper was handed over, which made Olivia Kiken decide something and left the church in silence.

The scene outside the confessional changes. Dusk arrives and the nun sweeping the floor appears in the church.

Like Lu Li's bad ending, Richard's bad ending was equally bad - Olivia Keeken was caught and sent to the police station for stealing, and her child, Little Keeken, died at home because there was no one to take care of her.

Although Olivia Kicken is still alive, she must be surrounded by boundless regret and despair.

Richard seemed a little annoyed, left his seat, walked out of the first wooden door, and entered the second one.

In the narrow confession room, Lu Li saw the motto he had seen appear on the wall: "Only the truth can win people's hearts", with one less sentence than Lu Li: "Ignorance is not the original sin, arrogance is."

The second believer, Arthur Green Pierce. To protect her daughter, Green killed the gangsters who were pestering her daughter and then fled to the church to seek help.

[You did the right thing! All the bastards who hurt you and your loved ones deserve to die!]

Maybe Richard realized that the last method didn't work and changed his strategy, or he simply followed his inner thoughts.

Despite the radical and bizarre content on the paper, Green felt much better.

"Then what should I do?" the helpless Green asked.

[The gang will not let you and your daughter go. Go home, pick up weapons, fight off those greedy and ugly wolves and defend your relatives. God will protect you from suffering.]

Green, who received the wrong encouragement, left the church, and dusk came as promised.

In the church with the organ flowing, no girl was seen entering. Only two nuns were talking in low voices to poor Green and his daughter.

The gangsters approached Green as promised, and three or four of them were hacked to death by Green, who was well prepared, but he himself was stabbed and died quickly. The police arrived, investigated what happened, and retrieved the deformed human form and ten missing pieces from the gang's lair.

The girl with fingers, unfortunately she has gone crazy.

Richard leaned on the wooden chair, scratched his messy bird's nest brown hair, and began to become anxious.

He thought that knowing the truth and being "chosen" by the ancient gods, he could pass these tests smoothly, just like the first time.

After dozens of seconds, Richard stood up, turned around and entered the next carved wooden door.

[The difference between a wise man and a mediocre person is that the former knows what should and should not be done, while the latter does not]

There is still only one motto on the wall, and the missing sentence "Admitting one's own incompetence is more painful than death" may be related to the fact that Richard did not think about breaking the situation at all.

This also makes the first proverb full of irony - when it appears in Lu Li's case, it seems to be deliberately irritating and trying to make him lose his mind. When it appears in Richard's case, it becomes a fact.

Richard cursed lowly and sat down in his seat to wait for the third believer to arrive.

The third believer, an unknown girl who stole gang finances and gave it to Olivia Kicken's son, was being captured by gangsters and fled to the church for help.

When the girl rushed to the confessional for help, Richard quickly wrote down the contents and handed it out of the confessional.

[Hide here, they dare not come in]

"Thank you!" The nameless girl said gratefully, opened the wooden door of the confessional, and then her eyes suddenly widened.

Richard sat in the wooden chair and raised his head to look at her, but the girl with green freckles on her face couldn't see him at all, staring wide-eyed at the empty confessional.

Behind her, there was a noise outside the church. The unknown girl showed panic. She suppressed her uneasiness about the confessional and hid in it, closing the wooden door.

She stayed as far away from the wooden chair in the center of the confessional as possible.

Knowing that the girl could not see him, Richard stopped paying attention to her and turned to observe the two gangsters approaching outside the confessional.

The priest who tried to stop him had no effect. The gangsters searched the church, walked towards the only confessional where someone could hide, and broke open the wooden door.

They found the terrified girl hiding inside, and dragged her out with a grin on her face.

"You bastards!"

Richard yelled angrily and rushed outside to stop the gangsters, and then hit the solid air.

No one heard his cry.

Richard is like a transparent person, no one knows his existence.

Seeing the desperate look from the girl, Richard's mood changed somewhat.
