78. You are not trustworthy

In the gray and misty space, only the stone bricks under his feet and Richard, who was rushing toward him with his head lowered, were clearly visible.

Bang.

Richard slammed into Lu Li's chest. Lu Li took a few steps back due to the momentum and suddenly frowned.

The soles of his back feet stepped into the empty space.

With the sound of the psychic gun that Richard had thrown before but made no sound of landing, Lu Li grabbed Richard in front of him and turned around, retreating away from the edge of the unknown.

Richard didn't notice the problem. He staggered a few steps after Lu Li, and then took the initiative to rush forward in an attempt to make the retreating Lu Li fall——

His plan was half successful. He retreated too fast and Lu Li couldn't maintain his balance, so he fell backwards.

Lu Li didn't know anything about fighting, but he knew what he should do at this moment. The moment he fell, he bent his legs, kicked Richard's lower abdomen, and lifted his body.

Bang——

A muffled sound of falling came from above the head.

Lu Li turned around and climbed up, just like he was climbing up. Richard suddenly rushed up again, riding on Lu Li's body and waving his fists.

"You should understand me! Only strong power can protect everyone!" Fists fell like raindrops, and Richard roared with red eyes.

Lu Li raised his arms to protect his head, and looked at Richard through the gap between his arms with calm black eyes: "What you said was right. But what you did was wrong."

Richard's physical strength was already at the end of his strength, and the fist he waved could only make Lu Li feel a little pain. Seizing the gap between the fists, Lu Li suddenly used his strength to turn over, suppressing Richard, and looked down at the crazy Richard.

Germany: "Power that can be controlled is called power."

Richard's head tilted back slightly and suddenly hit Lu Li's forehead hard.

It was as if the entire deep-sea ruins were trembling, and there was a buzzing in his ears. Lu Li couldn't help but lean back, and Richard took the opportunity to knock Lu Li away and get up in embarrassment.

Bang!

Richard raised his leg and kicked Lu Li in the lower abdomen, who was lying on the ground. His face turned red due to the excessive exertion, and he roared: "Why do you think I can't do it!"

"The rabbit can't understand why the lion doesn't eat grass like it does."

The shock in his mind made Lu Li unable to maintain his balance. His clearly beating heart squeezed blood to his head and even his eyeballs.

The swelling and pain felt strange and uncomfortable to Lu Li, but the dizziness was fading quickly.

"What nonsense are you talking about!"

Richard, who lost his mind, kicked Lu Li again. Lu Li suddenly reached out and grabbed his ankle and pulled him down.

One of them was exhausted, and the other's brain was hit hard and could not resist. The two of them were like the most primitive and backward fight, rolling in this foggy space.

No one noticed that they were approaching the strange edge.

Lu Li realized that when dealing with the crazy Richard, the more complex the words, the more difficult it would be for him to understand. Being direct may be more effective, but it will also anger the other person: "Do you think you are better than me?"

"That's because you are as timid as a mouse!" Richard opened his mouth to bite Lu Li's arm, but was blocked by the thick woolen coat.

Lu Li, who was in a stalemate with Richard, replied: "Flying a moth into a flame is not brave, and sacrificing others is not justice."

"I will never be as righteous as hypocrites like you." Richard bit Lu Li's arm and roared like a beast.

"I am just a despicable but unwilling poor man. I want to save many people and gain the praise and trust of those who are protected by me!"

Lu Li's resistance suddenly weakened.

"From your childhood?"

He glimpsed a corner of Richard's heart at the moment he finished speaking - it seemed to be a little boy dressed in rags and dirty, standing on the street with no one paying attention, and his eyes were filled with helplessness and numbness.

Crazy people often have unfortunate childhoods with twisted minds.

The same seems to be true for Richard, who was born on the streets and has never met his parents.

Lu Li's words completely angered Richard and lifted the last tile that covered his heart.

"You have no right to know this."

His head jerked back, but before he could repeat the same trick, Lu Li had already kicked him away.

Something wrapped in a strip of cloth fell out of his arms, and Richard subconsciously reached out to reach for it. This action saved his life. His body suddenly fell to the edge, leaving only his outstretched arms lying on the edge with difficulty.

He didn't have the strength to get up, but fortunately he wouldn't fall down.

Richard, who had a bruised forehead, narrowed his left eye that was dripping with blood. He panted and stared at Lu Li, who had dropped something. He seemed to accept his fate and stopped struggling: "Do you want to know what that is?"

"Part of the ancient god." Lu Li replied.

To be more specific, they are tentacles, eyeballs, and pieces of flesh.

"That's right." Richard grinned with difficulty, and the blood on his forehead made him look ferocious. "Take it, and you who win in the end will get the body of the ancient god."

"Or do what you always said, reject this power... Come on, let me see what you, a hypocrite, would choose."

Lu Li lowered his head and looked at the cloth silently, and Richard bent down to pick it up with a smile on his face.

"I got this kind of power before." Lu Li slowly walked towards Richard and whispered: "It came from a weak evil god."

"That feeling is indescribable. It won't let me fly or control objects. It will only fill my soul and make me feel omnipotent."

Richard listened carefully, and Lu Li told him: "Yes, as you think, I gave up on it in the end."

"Because this is not a good thing. This kind of power has never belonged to humans. Even if it has no ill intentions towards me and wants to protect me, it still cannot change the fact that it is destroying my sanity."

"Fire doesn't actively harm anything, it just stays there."

Lu Li stood in front of Richard, looking down at him and the dark abyss behind him that seemed to be blown by the wind.

"I stopped you because of everything you did, the people you experimented on in the lunatic asylum, the people you parasitized, the thousands of innocent citizens who died in the port - you claimed that you wanted to protect the world, excuse me."

"You are not worthy of trust."

Gently raising his hand, the piece of cloth that Richard regarded as everything fell into the abyss together with the contents inside.

Richard lowered his head with a gloomy look on his face. He suddenly raised his head and laughed maniacally: "You won... but do you think I will be like the villain in the story, fighting in vain to give you an epic ending!

Don’t even think about it!”

Richard suddenly let go of his arm holding the edge.

His figure fell rapidly, but stopped in an instant.

Lu Li rushed over and grabbed his wrist.

Richard suddenly raised his head at this moment, and seeing Lu Li's unchanging calmness, he suddenly suppressed all emotions and said calmly: "The bloody tentacle is the key to getting here, and it will have disappeared when we arrive at this coast.

You are safe."

Richard raised his hand and used his remaining strength to pry Lu Li's fingers apart.

"Now...I don't owe you anything anymore!"

With his last shout, Richard's body fell into darkness.

The strange wind under the abyss whimpered and passed by, seeming to bid farewell to the nameless people.
