Ninety-six. The stars of the homing shroud the world

sand--

sand--

There was a heavy dragging sound at the bottom of the crater.

A demon dragged Lu Li away.

It was much thinner than the first demon, and its leaden belly was almost glued to its back.

The slightly protruding chest indicates its gender—or the gender it once was when it was human.

The consciousness of these low-level demons, who are at the bottom of hell and cannot be defeated even by fresh souls, has long been obliterated by the fiery torment of hell, leaving most of them with only their instincts.

They usually become the food of higher-level demons. If they are lucky enough to find a group of the same kind, they can survive until they are eaten by their companions, or until their instincts are completely wiped out.

The burning hell and its demons have always been a hotly talked about place.

This demon, which was extremely thin and could starve to death at any time, did not enjoy this delicious soul, and even ignored the minced meat around the soul.

It was just dragging Lu Li with difficulty to take him somewhere.

But the steep edge of the crater also stumped the demon. After falling down several times and sliding down with the disgraced Lu Li, it gave up its plan to leave and clumsily brought Lu Li back to the boulder in the center of the crater.

The demon, who was lying on his hands and knees, circled around the boulder several times, but found no threat. He returned to Lu Li, dug his head into a patch of earth on the ground, and pulled out a piece of Richard's legacy.

It didn't mind the dirt on it, and opened its mouth half as big as its face, lowering its head to bite and eat.

The sharp teeth easily tore apart the gray skin, biting off the same gray flesh and swallowing it into his belly. However, the demon ate a lot, and its belly was still close to the back, without any bulging.

A few minutes later, most of the corpse had been eaten. The demon had no intention of stopping, and continued to eat without knowing it was hungry, as if it was hard to fill the corpse. The next one was Lu Li, who was unconscious next to him.

Soon, the demon swallowed the last leg of the corpse, raised its neck, and the protruding outline of the sole of the foot appeared under the gray skin of the neck and scratched into the chest cavity.

A whole corpse didn't make the devil's belly bulge at all, so it set its target on the pile of minced meat dozens of meters away.

The demon's head turned towards Lu Li, as if to confirm whether Lu Li was safe, and then crawled towards the minced meat.

As it gradually moved away, Lu Li's eyelashes beside the huge stone suddenly trembled slightly.

That feeling is indescribable.

It's like putting a spoon in your head and stirring it vigorously, mixing the brain into a ball of brains. Everything is broken, rotated, and misshapen.

Lu Li was never attacked, from beginning to end. He just accidentally broke into the realm of some indescribable existence, and then briefly came into contact with the insignificant breath that pervaded that realm.

This contact shocked his consciousness to the point where he almost became a madman.

It's like a small wooden boat breaking into a storm in the deep sea and being shattered by the waves. The storm has nothing to do with the small wooden boat, and it won't target the small boat. It just unfortunately broke in.

It was just a coincidence, it happened to be there and Lu Li happened to bump into it.

The return of consciousness also brought back those negative effects, such as the unbearable feeling of vomiting.

Slowly opening his eyes, those black gem-like eyes were like a dry desert at the moment.

The blurred vision gradually recovered, and first there was a demon lying not far away, whimpering and threatening like a hyena at him.

Or not.

A pair of leather boots stopped in front of his forehead, and then a mocking whisper sounded: "It's really nice to see you in such a mess when you come here."

She has consciousness.

She recognizes me.

Seems to be the enemy.

Lu Li, who had not yet overcome the negative influence, had trouble identifying the other person from the voice. He turned his head and his sight became much clearer, allowing him to identify a neat woman wearing a windbreaker with her eyes covered by a piece of cloth.

Something familiar, yet hard to recall.

"Who are you?"

Lu Li asked, frowning due to headache and dizziness.

"You don't remember me?!"

There was a sound of dissatisfaction filled with anger, and she angrily raised her boots and kicked Lu Li in the abdomen——

Countless illusory arms suddenly emerged from the void and grabbed the woman.

The moment he saw them, the man's expression became panicked and he screamed: "Wait a minute, I'm just like you! I'm here to help Lu Li!"

These words saved the woman's life, and those illusory arms disappeared again, guarding Lu Li in the invisible void.

"Lucky guy, it seems you saved a lot of people." The woman murmured in a low voice.

"Can you answer my question?" Lu Li raised his palm and gradually regained control of his body.

"Is this how you spoke to the first benefactor who came to save you?" The woman raised her chin and sneered with irony in her tone: "Ruth, that poor girl who was shot to death by you."

Lu Li had not come into contact with many people who knew her name, but he still recalled it for dozens of seconds. It was not until the woman's expression became increasingly angry that he found her identity from the depths of his memory - that was too long ago, at least according to Lu Li's experience of several months.

Speaking from experience.

Madam An Lei Art Gallery, the missing eyeball, the ghost who "died" because of Lu Li's confession.

Lu Li killed her with his own hands, thinking that she would become an enemy.

"You were already dead at that time." Lu Li corrected the mistake in Ruth's words and looked at the demon not far away: "And it was the first one."

He was able to wake up quickly because of the devil's drag.

"It's just a hungry demon with only instinct left." Ruth said contemptuously.

Lu Li asked back: "Like you, is it also someone who has been helped by me?"

Ruth seemed to be impatient with Lu Li, but she still replied: "This is the only reason I can think of for not attacking us."

Lu Li looked at the demon in silence, unable to identify its identity at all.

He thought again of those illusory arms that blocked the devil's approach and nearly attacked Ruth, who had revealed her hostility: "Where are those arms?"

"An incomplete broken soul, or a remnant soul left after death." Ruth glanced at the toothy demon not far away with pity. "This demon is about to starve to death. If it dies, it will

Be one of those loyal dogs that stays around you.”

"Now tell me how you died?"

Lu Li calmly replied: "I'm not dead."

"You're not dead?"

"Hell from the Psychic."

"No wonder you don't look afraid." Ruth looked Lu Li up and down with a look of disgust. "Then why are you still staying in this terrible place? Go back quickly."

"I can't go back." Lu Li shook his head gently. "There is an existence outside hell. I broke into its hell and fell back unconscious. I'm not sure if it's still there."

Lu Li's condition did not support him giving it another try.

"It sounds like you can't go back?"

Ruth blew on her mask, looking in a good mood, and stretched out her leather-gloved palms towards Lu Li.

"Then welcome to hell."
