103. The last guest

The frost is like a living thing, spreading around the footprints.

The surging wind of death blew, carrying the breath of dissolving everything, but it could not move the Ice Heart Demon's hair.

It lowered its head and looked at its feet, where there was an extinguished horse hoof print.

Rustling——

Whispers came from beside it.

Not far from it, a figure in a white dress stood eerily on the scorched earth.

Ice Heart Demon frowned.

It has heard of this stupid hellish creature that just stays in place, waiting for food to come to its door.

Normally, it wouldn't mind "getting to know" them, but now it has more important things to do.

Bing Xin Mo looked ahead where the horse's hoof prints extended, gradually tilted his head, and whispered coldly, echoing around him.

"Human, where do you want to go?"

"How far we still have to go!"

"Less than half."

There is no longer an almost endless uphill slope under the hooves of the skeleton horse.

They should be close to the crater of the Black Scourge volcano.

Neither Lu Li nor Skeleton Horse had any intention of passing through the middle of the crater, so their paths would be slightly staggered and they would pass by the side.

The blazing heat on the top of the mountain roasted the three figures on horseback, and even the protection of the skeleton horse could not completely block it. Ruth's face became ugly, and she found that her soul was consumed at a rate several times higher than down below.

There are more terrifying things following them than the slow disappearance of their souls.

Ruth kept looking back, even though the wind of death blocked her vision: "Is it too late!"

"I hope so."

The calmness in Lu Li's voice never changed.

Except for Ruth, no one knew Lu Li's purpose of climbing over the volcano. This might make the Devil's Son who was following him careless and not press forward.

The skeleton horse galloped on the side of the Black Calamity Volcano for more than ten minutes. The terrain changed from sloping to downhill, and they began to go down the mountain.

The skeleton horse running at full speed is like flaming lightning, moving through the obscure fog, avoiding dangers on the road.

As they left the top of the mountain, the death wind that enveloped the volcano was gradually fading.

"Lu Li..."

At a certain moment, an emotional murmur suddenly sounded clearly in Lu Li's mind.

Lu Li, who was on horseback, looked in the direction where the skeleton horse was passing. A figure in a white dress stood there, seemingly the same as the other figures they saw along the way.

"Wait a moment……"

When he was about to get away from that figure, Lu Li lowered his head and called to the skeleton horse.

The plow made a long mark, and the skeleton horse stopped.

Lu Li turned over and got off the horse, staring at the figure in the white dress approaching.

"What are you going to do..." Ruth on the horse behind her was surprised: "Do you know it...?"

"Um."

The figure in a white dress thirty meters away was enough for Lu Li to recognize its face.

Some memories were pulled out of my mind.

To a certain extent, she had left a deeper impression on Lu Li than Ruth.

Miselia, the person who died due to rumors and slander.

"Are you also dead..."

No longer ringing in her mind, a light voice came from Misseliya.

Lu Li looked at Mishalia, who was already a hell creature, and replied, "I'm not dead."

"Not...dead..." Miselia lowered her head, seeming to understand the meaning of this sentence.

She had already walked ten meters away from Lu Li. Ruth pressed the gun holster on her waist vigilantly to guard against any accidents.

"I am a psychic and I come to hell to solve some problems."

Lu Li frowned and replied, there was something wrong with Misseliya's state. It could be said to be slow, or it could be said that -

"Just stay..."

A faint murmur came from under her head. Misseliya suddenly raised her head and stretched out her hands towards Lu Li. Shocking blood poured out of her eyes and turned into two lines of bloody tears.

When Lu Li realized something was wrong, the black scorched earth suddenly rose up, and a ferocious monster rushed out from the ground.

The sight was blocked by splashing stones and soil. The skeleton horse suddenly turned its head and bit Lu Li's collar, threw him onto the horse's back, and rushed out like an arrow.

Click!

A crisp loud sound and the sound of biting wind sounded close to the skeleton horse's tailbone.

Several illusory hands appeared and fixed Lu Li, who was still sitting still, on the horse's back. Grasping the skeleton horse's ribs, Lu Li looked back and saw a huge, ugly monkfish-like creature moving its short eight limbs and crawling along.

Behind the skeleton horse.

Its mouth was completely split open, and its tongue transformed into the appearance of Misseliya, or in other words, it was Misseliya.

Misseliya was like the Shell Princess in fairy tales. She stretched out her hands towards Lu Li who was getting further and further away from her, her charming face with blood stains full of tenderness and reluctance.

"Stay forever..."

The galloping skeleton horse quickly left Misseliya behind and gradually disappeared in the wind of death.

"Dump her?" cried Ruth.

"I can't feel it anymore." Lu Li replied.

"Why didn't you say she was your enemy!"

Ruth breathed a sigh of relief and turned back, then glared angrily. If the skeleton horse hadn't reacted quickly, they would have died in the mouth of this hellish creature.

Lu Li remained calm as if nothing happened just now: "She is not an enemy."

Reminiscent of Missalya's words, Ruth's eyes became strange and contemptuous: "The lover you abandoned?!"

"No."

There was nothing worth keeping secret, so Lu Li told Ruth the story of Missaliya.

"I thought you treated her the same way you treated me, so she came to you out of resentment." Ruth said suddenly.

She didn't seem to care about Miselia's tragic experience, but focused on whether she was killed by Lu Li.

"Now you realize who is more reliable?" Ruth's snort came through Whitley: "The person you helped wanted to kill you, and the person you killed wanted to help you."

Lu Li did not answer.

He just has an indifferent temperament and everything is suppressed by absolute reason, rather than being emotionless.

The meeting with Misseliya inevitably touched Lu Li.

But only in the heart.

"This is why I don't want to become a demon..."

Ruth's whisper came suddenly, without the usual pride.

"If my mind is occupied by that kind of breath, am I still me..."

It wasn't that Ruth didn't care at all, but just like Lu Li, she didn't show it.

"You are still you."

Ruth raised her head in shock and looked at the back of Lu Li who suddenly answered her.

"Everyone imagines when they are young that they will become a brave warrior, a smart inventor, and a good person who is willing to help others in the future, but most children will abandon these once unrealistic fantasies as they grow up."

It was the first time that Lu Li said so many words to Ruth.

"It doesn't mean the children are no longer themselves."

"You mean...this is a kind of growth?"

"It should be said that it is a change." Lu Li looked forward, and vaguely saw an endless dark thread running across the end. "No one is eternal, everything will eventually pass away."

This is another reason why Lu Li gave Anna freedom.

She should have her own thoughts.

She should choose how to change.

Whether it's good or bad.
