108. The man from hell

"He's back..."

Anna, who was bowing her head quietly as if sleeping, suddenly raised her head and stared at Lu Li's face.

"He's awake?"

Remi, who was guarding the cave outside the refuge, quietly appeared at the door and did not open her eyes when she saw Lu Li on the bed.

He didn't come back.

Wanting to comfort her, Anna shook her head and whispered: "No, it's his soul that's back..."

Anna's eyes seemed to pass through the thick cave walls and withered elm forests, and landed on the small town at the foot of the mountain on the back side of Sugard Mountain.

"I can feel it."

Remy didn't ask for details and said, "What are you going to do?"

Anna's cold eyes fell on Remi: "I will leave his body to your care, and I will find his soul."

"good."

Remy agreed. But even if Anna didn't tell her, she and her brother would do it.

"……Thanks."

Anna's figure disappeared into the void, and Remi felt that her cold aura was leaving quickly and dissipating around the top of the cliff.

The feeling now is very different from the feeling when staying in hell.

In hell, the soul feels the same as having a body. It can touch and smell.

After returning, all these seemed to be stripped away and left in my body far away in Belfast.

The abyss-like obscurity lingers around the soul, and it still exists even when standing under the light of an oil lamp.

Lu Li realized that this might be the aura of the other world lingering around Anna and infecting her soul.

Because of his specialness, Lu Li couldn't feel the pollution it had on his mind, but the rich ominousness and coldness were enough for Lu Li to get a glimpse of its terrifying side.

"So... you died, and then your soul found my secret treasure house and returned to my treasure house from my secret treasure house?"

Hades discovered that the approaching Lu Li's body was a translucent, disembodied soul, and then guessed the general process.

"I didn't die, I just channeled into hell and couldn't return normally."

"So... you didn't die, and then your soul found my secret treasure house and returned to my treasure house from my secret treasure house?"

"You can also say that."

After all, the stone gates are in Hades's two treasure troves.

Hades looked at Lu Li suspiciously and reluctantly believed this statement - what happened on the other side of the mountain not long ago was witnessed by everyone.

"What an unlucky guy." Hades said, his eyes suddenly became sharp: "Hidden in my treasure house and secret treasure house——"

"Didn't touch it."

"I can't trust you, you promise!"

Lu Li said nothing and stared at Hades silently.

"For the sake of old acquaintances...leave me, how long do you want to occupy my treasure house!" Hades snorted unhappily and motioned for Lu Li to come out quickly.

After Lu Li walked past him, Hades took out a bunch of keys, locked the seven locks of the treasure house one by one, led him out of the basement, bypassed everyone in the hall, and returned to the bedroom on the second floor from the backyard.

"Damn bastard, why do I always run into you wherever I go..."

Hades complained softly and closed the bedroom door.

Lu Li walked to the window, and Hades came over to help open the curtains, then sat in the lounge chair, crossed his arms and stared at him with an unfriendly expression.

There was a light mist shrouded outside the window, with a light red color. The color became darker as we went up the mountain, and the top of the mountain was a terrifying crimson like a burning cloud.

It was as if Lu Li had never returned and was looking at the Black Calamity Volcano.

In the dark, a warm call like home attracted Lu Li from the other side of the mountain. It should be his body.

It seems that the tragedy of the soul being unable to return to the body will most likely not happen.

Thinking of something, Lu Li touched his chest. The hard object in his pocket told him that he had brought the chess piece back.

"What happened in Belfast?" Lu Li asked without looking back.

"'When the stars return, the claws of the outer gods stretch out to this world. The ancient gods wake up from their slumber. The overlapping space of the inner world is infinitely close to the outer world. The end is coming, and we will die soon.

Together with the world.'" Richard grabbed a book that was on the table, read the contents, and then put it back.

"Although it is just the bizarre ramblings of a crazy exorcist, the reality is usually stranger than the story."

Lu Li knew that this would eventually happen.

But when everything really came, the feeling of being at a loss still impacted his soul.

Lowering his dark eyes, Lu Li looked at the people on the street who had fled from Belfast and were resting against the wall, as well as the patrolling police officers and exorcists.

They have not yet realized that the disaster has come.

Although this disaster made them collapse and frightened, they were not yet desperate. Perhaps after dawn, they would go to Himfast or other cities to live on the mainland.

They thought that this unfortunate incident was just a coincidence like Zernst's.

Perhaps because Hades was beside him, Lu Li remembered what Hades said to him a few months ago when he first came to this world.

Ignorance is bliss.

Withdrawing his gaze, Lu Li looked at the man who probably knew what was going to happen: "Watchtown won't be safe for long."

"I know, so I prepared an escape route."

Lu Li thought about his retreat, he had seen it not long ago.

This money-hungry exorcist is surprisingly bold - ordinary people would never want to take refuge in hell.

Lu Li looked back at the crimson mist covering Sugard Mountain, as if he could see through them and see everything happening in the burning city.

"You don't want to go back, do you?" Hades took the initiative to talk.

"My body is in the city."

"As a senior, I have a suggestion." Hades crossed his legs and looked gloating: "Get used to being a ghost. Frankly speaking, it is much easier for ghosts to survive than for people at this time."

"My body is still there, I can feel it."

"But how can you go back? Belfast is now full of fires, the streets are crowded with monsters, countless weird things are waiting to happen, and it is now an oversized meat can!"

"So are you planning to accept a commission?" Lu Li withdrew his gaze and looked at Hades on the recliner with calm eyes: "Send me back to Belfast and you will decide the reward."

Hades was indeed a little moved, but he still shook his head cruelly and refused the banknotes waving at him.

"But you reminded me." Hades suddenly sat up straight, his expression became solemn and serious, as if he was about to get down to business.

"You used my hell tunnel to come back, now it's time to talk about the reward——"

Lu Li didn't hear clearly what he said next.

He cast his gaze outside the window, and a cold and familiar aura that made his soul tremble was approaching rapidly without concealment.

Wow——

The window suddenly exploded and shattered, debris flew, and the curtains were torn into pieces.

Amidst the awakening shouts of the people in the street below, a figure ran into Lu Li's arms.

Lu Li's soul was almost dispersed by the coldness emanating from this figure, if he had not obtained the Evil Spirit Chess.

"You're back."

Whispers rang in my ears, and the torn curtains slowly fell.

"Um."
