One hundred and ten. rest

At dawn, the strange fog that shrouded Belfast quietly receded, revealing the city that was mostly in ruins.

The echoing church bells stopped ringing at midnight, and the all-devouring flames did not go out until dawn. Fires could be seen everywhere. The sky above the city was filled with thick smoke that could not be dissipated. The acrid smell of smoke drifting in the air even reached the cliffs of the elm forest.

top.

"Ah sneeze——"

Jimmy's body in front of the cabin sneezed hard, and then leaned even weaker on the couch.

After Lu Li woke up, he no longer needed to guard the door. He was sent out of the cave by his sister to be wary of strange things that might appear on the top of the cliff.

But maybe it was the city in the distance that attracted them more, maybe Anna and her brother and sister didn't cover up their auras, maybe it was the shelter of the elm forest and the refuge, but nothing happened on the top of the cliff all night long.

Jimmy's eyes returned to the sea. In the deep water outside the bay, the three monsters that caused all this to happen and created the strange fog were sinking into the water.

"You don't need to hold me like this."

Lu Li's calm voice came from behind. Jimmy turned around and saw Lu Li being held by Princess Anna, and Remi who was following him with a smile in his eyes.

"You are too tall and it will be awkward to carry you on your back." Anna prepared a very good excuse.

"You can lift me with your power." Lu Li replied.

Anna remained silent for a moment, not looking at Lu Li: "It's not safe."

Lu Li stopped persuading Anna, who had a fairy tale mentality of "princess saving prince", and looked forward.

Jimmy's body was leaning on the lounge chair, and the monster's body was lying on the side. Three strange waves were set off on the sea in the distance. It seemed that something existed there before, but now there are only waves and eddies left there.

"Good morning." Jimmy raised his hand feebly in greeting.

"Good morning." Lu Li nodded gently and looked at the waves on the sea that had not disappeared.

Jimmy told Lu Li about the strange things that appeared on the sea before, which were consistent with the rumors of "monsters that breathed strange fog" that Lu Li had heard before.

His eyes fell on the ruins of Belfast in the distance, and he remained silent.

Belfast is the most prosperous city on the Allen Peninsula, and the seriousness of this bizarre invasion is far greater than the recent Zernst tragedy.

And we can expect that the tragedy in Belfast will happen in all human cities - or has already happened.

The muskets and cannons that mankind is so proud of are useless against these weird things.

The era of mankind is receding.

"Go back and recuperate. You are not suitable for activities outside now." Anna seemed to sense Lu Li's state of mind, and whispered.

"Show me Anne."

Lu Li doesn't want to go back yet.

The evacuation point was built with practicality in mind only. Living in a cramped and dark cave deep for a long time is not beneficial to the body and mind, and may even lower your sanity.

Anna carried Lu Li and came to Annie's tree trunk. When Lu Li and Anna approached, Annie showed joy and intimacy, touching them gently with tentacle-like instincts.

"She seems to like you more." Anna said. Anne was not so excited when she came.

"Maybe it has something to do with vitality." Lu Li closed his eyes and sensed Annie's presence. It was still very weak, and the consciousness of the nearby elm tree only kept it from dying. However, as time went by, Annie's instinct evolved into consciousness, which could affect

The scope is getting bigger and bigger, until it reaches the entire elm forest.

By then, this will be their real "home".

"Go back," Lu Li said. "Also, I need a wheelchair."

It had nothing to do with the shame of being held by Anna, it was just inconvenient.

Anna was a little disappointed: "Wait a minute and I will go back to the city to find you some ingredients and a wheelchair."

Lu Li still did not go back to the cave refuge. In this case, lighting an oil lamp during the day was too luxurious. Remi took a second deck chair from the cabin and placed it next to Jimmy.

Anna gently put Lu Li into the recliner. Lu Li turned his head and took a close look at the fusion point between Jimmy's and the monster's bodies before looking away.

Lu Li raised his hand slowly to avoid moving too quickly and causing his body to "fall" down.

"Where is it itchy?" Anna asked.

"Carrion wooden box, I need to know some information from the merchant."

Although Lu Li didn't know if he could still call the merchant.

"You need to rest now." Anna put Lu Li's raised arm back to its original position.

"I'm resting." Lu Li gently tapped the armrest of the recliner to indicate his current situation.

Anna had no choice but to take out the wooden box containing the rotten meat from Lu Li's pocket, open it, put it next to Lu Li's hand, and told him that she had called the merchant last night to inquire about the price of the deep sea stone.

"We can't install the door to the refuge right now," Anna said.

"Maybe." Lu Li murmured in a low voice, thinking.

It will take some time for the messenger Black Crow to arrive, and he may not even arrive. Anna took advantage of the gap to look at the Jimmy brothers and sisters: "I will go back to Belfast, and I will leave Lu Li to you."

"We will protect him with our lives." Remi's tone was calm, as if she was answering a trivial matter.

"Pay attention to safety, don't go too deep into the city, and come back if you can't find it." Lu Li said. Maybe it was because Anna was acting alone for the first time, so she said a lot.

"If you meet a survivor who can help you——"

Anna suddenly suppressed her hair, bent down and approached Lu Li, and gently touched his forehead with her lukewarm lips.

"I will."

At the touch of a button, Anna pursed her lips and left the top of the cliff to float towards the distant city.

Lu Li seemed a little dazed. It wasn't until Anna disappeared from sight that his body that was tense due to discomfort gradually relaxed.

Looking back, he saw Remi looking at him, with a smile on his face but he hesitated to speak.

"What do you want to say?" Lu Li asked.

"Your relationship is enviable." The sincerity in Remi's eyes was not concealed.

Lu Li didn't answer, and Remi looked at the sea indifferently and murmured: "Ingredients... I haven't cooked for a long time since that incident happened."

She didn't expect that Lu Li would respond to this casual sentiment.

"Can you cook?" Lu Li asked.

"Hmm. Maybe it's never been written like this in the story."

Lu Li said thoughtfully: "I'll leave the food to you when Anna comes back."

Remi smiled: "You're welcome."

The messenger arrived ten minutes later. After the black crows tore and ate the carrion in the wooden box, Lu Li asked him to contact the merchant.

Ten minutes after the black crow left, a tall figure carrying an exaggerated backpack came to the top of the cliff.

This made Lu Li think about the merchant himself and the existence behind him.

These beings that are by no means human wander among the exorcists. What is their purpose?

But before asking anything, Lu Li first sold the information he knew to the merchant.

"I have some information about hell, are you interested?"

There was a brief pause, and a blunt answer with interest came from under the scarf.

"This is exactly what we need."
