120. Ghost Wife

Lu Li is good at planning ahead, which can be seen from the establishment of evacuation points.

So he started to prepare for leaving the day after tomorrow, and Anna did most of it.

Lu Li and Anna will have to leave the cliff top for at least three days, during which time they must prepare enough "food" for Jimmy and the children.

Because of Tesla's warning, Anna avoided the heretics and servants and hunted at the edge of the elm forest while looking for a wheelchair for Lu Li - Lu Li was still held by Anna when he didn't want to appear in the city.

The vitality increased slightly four times, and soon Anna came back with two strange corpses and no wheelchair.

She planned to go deep into the ruins of the city to search but was rejected by Lu Li. They set out to attend the pre-parliament meeting and passed by Himfast, where wheelchairs could be purchased.

Or stop for a while at Baron Joseph's estate, perhaps where Alan's spare wheelchair is kept.

After eating some food, Lu Li returned to the refuge to rest in the afternoon.

Sleep helps the body and soul merge. It would be great if you can fully recover before departure.

Lu Li woke up several times during the night due to thirst, and then fell asleep again.

The next morning, Lu Li slowly woke up.

The strange fog outside the refuge retreated, and the gloomy and gray sky enveloped the earth.

With Anna's support, he walked out of the cliff top and came to the cave. The moist sea breeze came over the cliff and blew the hem of Lu Li's clothes.

Lowering his eyes to the side of the recliner, a tiny curled-up sprout sprouted out of the ground. It didn't change much from yesterday, perhaps because Lu Li didn't spend much time on the recliner.

Anna went to check the sprouts transplanted on the other side and shook her head gently at Lu Li: "Withered."

If it were planted outside a cave farther away from the mainland, it might have died long ago.

After obtaining the Doomsday Apocalypse, Lu Li's "human nature" finally became able to affect the surrounding environment, with incredible and wonderful effects.

"Put them in flower pots." Lu Li said.

It was foreseeable that if Lu Li kept carrying them with him, they would one day grow into weeds or saplings - either way, it represented new life.

There are no flower pots on the top of the cliff, and Anna plans to bring some back when she goes hunting later.

Because of the wonderful effect of human nature, Lu Li's time spent recuperating on the recliner changed from being in front of the cave to being under the Annie tree.

Annie, who only had instinct, cheered for Lu Li's approach, and the elm trees surrounding the cliff top also exuded a cheerful atmosphere.

Maybe soon, Lu Li and the others will be able to see new branches emerging from the withering.

Near noon, Anna left the cliff top to hunt. Lu Li and Jimmy, who was no longer weak but had become accustomed to leisurely life, sat in the recliners and listened quietly to the Exorcist radio.

Not long after, Anna returned. The huge corpse she carried crashed down, leaving a cloud of dust on the top of the cliff.

"It's like hunting an elephant." Jimmy lamented the size of the prey, which was enough for them to eat for a week.

Lu Li suddenly frowned and whispered, "It's not dead yet."

He didn't notice any increase in vitality during the time Anna left, and the huge thing in front of him obviously did not fall into the category of "trivial".

At the same time, Remi, who was close to the prey, noticed something and instinctively grinned her lips, letting out a shrill howl like a banshee.

Anna instantly appeared in front of Lu Li and protected him.

The terrifying invisible wave spread out in all directions with Remi as a dot, but by the time it reached Lu Li and others, it had weakened and only a slightly sharp noise remained.

The strange corpse next to her was not so lucky. The banshee howled and forced a phantom out of the body. It disintegrated and disappeared in the blink of an eye like a newspaper shattered by the heavy rain.

Remi stopped howling, breathed a sigh of relief and turned around to tell Lu Li and others, "Anna didn't kill it. It was the illusory body that controlled the weirdness. It parasitized this weird body."

Anna looked at Mu Su in panic for a moment, worried that her carelessness would bring disaster to Lu Li.

If the refuge is no longer safe, they will no longer have a safe place to go.

It was difficult for Anna to remain indifferent when it was about Lu Li.

"It's okay, it's not a servant and won't reveal our location." Lu Li didn't feel the uneasy sense of prying eyes.

This hunt was a wake-up call for Anna - she realized that weird things don't really die like prey in nature.

They have countless unpredictable and incomprehensible powers. Powerful is just a label given to them by humans, but it does not apply.

In any case, she didn't have to hunt for the time being before returning from attending the parliament.

Remi planted the withered buds and healthy buds into flower pots and placed them next to Lu Li, looking forward to the scenery that would appear on the top of the cliff in the future: the elm forest was full of life, and the top of the cliff was growing full of green grass and vines.

She sometimes wondered, if Lu Li's humanity increased tenfold or a hundredfold, wouldn't everywhere he goes, young shoots break out of the ground quickly, vines spread like snakes, withered shrubs shed their grayness, and dead trees regain their vitality?

At that time, Lu Li might be like... a god.

As the evening drew closer, three ferocious black mountains of flesh and blood rose from the sea. As they squirmed, a strange mist filled the air and drifted towards the coastline.

When a strange fog enveloped the Rodster Port with only the wreckage left, Lu Li returned to the refuge with the flowerpot.

The flowerpot was placed on the desk next to the bed. The withered seedling was full of life, and the other one had almost fully unfolded its buds, with a small and fresh leaf hanging with water droplets from just watering.

The strange fog completely enveloped the elm forest, and it extended into the cave until it was blocked by the firelight of the fireplace and dim oil lamps as it approached the refuge point.

Night falls.

Anna had prepared everything. The suitcase contained a set of Lu Li's clothes, three psychic guns, two cans of beef and a kettle filled with boiled drinking water.

The shillings are all carried on the person. Before the order is completely broken, it can still be used as currency in human gathering places.

But as time goes by, bartering will eventually replace these meaningless papers.

[...The Exorcist Council held three days later in Allen City... is the largest and will be the last council where all the Exorcists will gather...]

Anna turned the radio's clockwork to the end and adjusted the volume to a volume that required careful listening to hear the words clearly. She walked to the bed and pulled the quilt to Lu Li's chest.

"Good night."

Anna kissed Lu Li tenderly on the forehead.

The night in the cave is silent.

The children were sleeping leaning on each other outside the refuge. There was a faint candlelight in the Jimmy brother and sister's cabin outside the cave.

Occasionally, distant strange sounds pierced the night sky, malicious whispers sounded in the darkness, and screams from the ruins of the city were carried by the wind.

However, no malicious intent could get close to the dark cabin deep in the cave, because they protected Lu Li from being invaded and he slept peacefully.
