Two hundred and thirty four. The time of silence comes

In the quiet of the night, the bells rang without warning from the evil spirit broadcast.

Lu Li woke up from his sleep and looked at Anna who was looking down.

"It's coming, don't move." Anna whispered, feeling an obscure aura coming in like a mist.

It gave Anna the feeling of a second plague hidden in the darkness.

The safe house cannot stop the evil spirits. The obscure and invisible aura penetrates the rock walls and deep sea stones and permeates the safe house.

The bell in the evil spirit's broadcast continues, and it will ring until the third plague leaves.

Anna lowered her voice and silently guarded Lu Li, who was breathing calmly on the bed, as if he was sleeping.

The obscure atmosphere flows in the silence. Occasionally, the sea breeze blows through the chimney and the whistling sound comes from the fireplace.

Under the torture of waiting, the time scale seemed to be extended indefinitely. After a long wait, the obscure atmosphere gradually faded away.

The bells broadcast by the evil spirits disappeared as the third disaster faded. Anna waited for a few more minutes to make sure that it had completely left.

"It's over."

This time it lasted only ten minutes, roughly the same time as other cities in the newspaper experienced.

"Is it like the plant disaster and the night disaster?" Lu Li sat up and asked Anna: "You can still use your power."

The silence fades away.

Himfast Deputy Mayor Didier Harlowen and his assistants, as well as messengers and exorcists from other cities, were walking under the wooden wall.

"Why are some fires extinguished?" Didier Harlowen looked into the depths of the fog. The long wooden walls were hidden in the fog, and the burning fires reflected the fog. But some places were shrouded in darkness and there was no fire.

Heap burning.

"It's the Shadow of the Fire Stealer." The exorcist who followed the team replied.

Didiar Harlowen and a group of messengers looked at each other in astonishment. "Other evil spirits also act in times of silence?"

"It's obvious."

The harm in silence is even more terrifying. People need to keep quiet, but weird people don't.

What could be more despairing than the sudden arrival of silence in the midst of a confrontation with something strange?

"The disasters of the night, the strange fog, the quiet time, and the strange things that wander in the darkness and fog..." A messenger from the southern city-state of the Lord's Continent trembled and murmured, tears flowing along the wrinkles on his old face.

"Do we still have a future..."

The exorcist did not answer immediately. He looked up at the fiery red mist in the east, as if dawn was coming quietly.

"There must be more."

The bronze bell on the low hill rang in the early morning.

After a while, the doors of the wooden houses under the low hills opened one after another, and the underground residents walked to the outdoor restaurant in twos and threes, preparing for the day's work.

Breakfast was still mashed potatoes, brown bread and broth. People complained about the monotony of the food. Roko, who was pushing the dining cart, had to tell them that the shelter's top management was planning to update the recipe and add new meals such as fish salad.

"That sounds really bad." Erin in the wheelchair shrank her neck and squeezed out her double chin.

"Fish cakes are very popular in Himfast." Lulu, the housekeeper who reads the newspaper carefully every day, told the baron. "A kind of fish cake mixed with mashed potatoes, shaped into a cake shape and fried."

"Where's the fish salad?" Erin asked. Raw fish and salad dressing?

"Probably the shelter's own recipe."

Irene curled her lips, she wouldn't eat it - at most she would ask Lulu for one to see how it tasted.

Tesla came to the outdoor restaurant. Compared to the past few days, he looked more alive now, at least his beard had been shaved off.

Taking a newspaper from the "newsboy", Tesla glanced at it briefly and his expression became gloomy.

"Your wife didn't write a letter today?" Irene teased, taking the newspaper from Lulu.

"It's something else." Tesla's voice sounded muffled. "Arrived at Himfast in Silence."

As the newspaper was distributed to more and more residents, bursts of exclamations rang out over the outdoor restaurant.

"OMG……"

"My relatives are still there!"

"Xim is ready, everything will be fine..."

"Sooner or later, there will be such a day, right?" Listening to the sounds around her, Irene was slightly silent, put down the newspaper and said, "Lu Li is very smart, he knows how to avoid danger, and as for your wife... there is no need to worry about her.

"

"That's not it." Tesla shook his head. He expressed confidence in Lu Li, as if he knew that Lu Li could understand the code of the letter. "The thing about the Time of Silence that is more terrifying than other disasters is that it is more targeted at us and more targeted."

Our future..."

"Child." Lulu said suddenly.

Tesla looked heavy: "Yes. Three or four-year-old children may know to keep quiet, but younger children do not, especially babies..."

It is almost impossible for them to avoid the entanglement of the Silent Hour for two or three years.

Even if the monsters stop invading, humans will become extinct - because they will be unable to reproduce.

There is only refuge... in this pure place that no weird thing can reach.

"Don't we already know the location of the Time of Silence?" Eileen was very radical in this regard. "No matter how high the price is, it is better than the extinction of humans on the ground. If humans can't get close, why not stay friendly with us?

The weirdness goes?"

"It's not that simple."

As an investigator, Tesla could discern the underlying content of the original news better than the average person.

"When it is silent, it doesn't care about strange things preying within its range...but what if it is close to its fragile body?"

No evil spirit will let other beings get close to the body.

"Is there no other way we can do it?"

The exorcist followed closely behind the person in charge who was walking quickly.

After the destruction of the Third Disaster Squad, All-Seeing Night Watchman Keiran Fast took over as the town commander.

Unfortunately, all the elites died in the crusade, and only a few responsible and capable exorcists remained in the town.

"Compared, like shooting with a bow and arrow at a long distance -"

"The arrow can't hit the monster's body, but you reminded me." Kellan Fast said without looking back, walking into the station despite the wind and sand, and stood in front of the sand table map placed in the living room.

The exorcist walking behind closed the door, spit out the sand, came to Kelan Fast and asked: "Do you have any solution?"

"The oasis, and the old river..." Rough fingers traced along the old river, passing by the oasis where its body was located.

"Contact the people from the Main Continent and the Lennon Islands, and bring me the battleship with the longest range!"

"But...but it's too old. We will have to spend at least a month on repairs and maintenance." The curator of the Lennon Islands Battleship Museum said helplessly.

"What if it's not repaired?" Manik Pa, a man on an old ship with a thick beard, walked into the captain's cabin and glanced at the place gently as if looking at a lover.

"Maybe I won't be able to come back," the curator sighed.

"Then don't come back. We can't let the fate of mankind hang in the balance here."

Manik Pa raised his fist and hit the rudder hard.

"Set me up!"
