Two hundred and fifty-three. Actors on stage

Qiaotou Port is just a small port.

This can be seen from its name and the town it is attached to called Bobcat Town.

There is nothing here except rocky sand and withered shrubs. But it also brings Bobcat Town a unique advantage: terrain.

Lynx Town is at the very edge of the World Ridge Mountains. In the north, it stretches from the coast for thousands of miles, and the terrain gets higher as you go deeper, until the World Ridge is blurry at the end of the line of sight. In the south, it stretches from the gentle continental shelf to the plains.

This gives the northern part of Bobcat Town a natural deep-water port. As long as a simple small pier, a giant like the Ashuri can dock.

Of course, it can also be disturbing.

Because beyond the beach is the dark sea like an abyss.

The sound of the whistle echoed in the dusk of the evening. Lu Li, Emin Grolin, and some scattered passengers disembarked here.

The Ashuli had to dock for a while to replenish supplies. Lu Li helped Armin Grolin carry the suitcase. She followed with three large books, bypassing the local residents who were preparing to board the ship, and left the port on the creaking wooden boards.

.

Not far away, the town of Bobcat lit up.

Emin Grolin quickened his pace and followed Lu Li, mumbling like an assistant: "According to the steps in the exorcist manual, we should first investigate the surrounding area and ask the local residents if there is anything unusual... Is that right, Mr. Lu Li?"

"

"Um."

But it may be possible to bypass the steps. For example, Anna waits in Lynx Town, or leaves clues in Lynx Town.

Enter Bobcat Town. Because of the route, it is not as lifeless as most inland towns, but it looks deserted because of its sparse population - most residents have moved to Luo Lei Fort, two hundred miles away.

While it was still dark, Lu Li took Emin Grolin to explore the Lynx Town.

There is no obvious difference between the locals in the Desolate Land and the Main Continent, except that their skin color is close to wheat color due to long exposure to the sun.

Originally their skin color was darker, but after the clouds continued to cover the land a few months ago and the sun was lost, the people here became much whiter.

"It's getting dark, Mr. Lu Li, we can investigate separately and then meet up here." Emin Grolin suggested.

Lu Li did not refuse. He took out a pen and drew the symbol of Mary Poppins and handed it to Emin Grolin.

"Be careful, your psychic gun is not a decoration." Lu Li reminded. Emin Grolin also has a psychic gun, but she may not dare to pull the trigger.

"Of course, don't underestimate me, Mr. Lu Li."

Emin Grolin proudly raised her chin, revealing her white neck: "After all, I am also a child of the Grolin family."

The two separated, and Lu Li carried two oil lamps and continued searching along the street. The lighted ones were ordinary oil lamps, and the dark ones were "lighthouses."

There is a pub that is open in the center of the town. There are not many customers, but the owner behind the counter is very familiar with him.

As Lu Li walked in, they lowered their voices and followed the unfamiliar face with their eyes.

"I want to inquire about something." Lu Li said as he walked to the counter.

"Of course, Gentile."

The boss grinned. It was easy to tell the difference between locals in the deserted land and people from other places.

"Have strange things happened in Shanmao Town and Luosha Town recently?"

The boss froze his smile, paused for more than ten seconds, and then whispered slowly: "You shouldn't know this... listen to my advice, have a good sleep and then go back."

"I am an exorcist." Lu Li replied calmly.

"... Talking here will scare my guests, go upstairs and talk." The tavern owner looked at Lu Li deeply, then asked the curious guests to continue, and took Lu Li to the second floor.

"Are you here to fix it!"

As soon as he entered the room, the tavern owner couldn't wait to ask.

"I want to know what's going on first." Lu Li replied.

"Of course...of course..." the tavern owner repeated in a low voice, slowly describing the shadow that had shrouded the two small towns in recent days.

Shanmao Town and Luosha Town are like a pair of best brothers. One made money because of Qiaotou Port, the other fell into despair due to the quiet time, and the other was attacked by strange things.

The first victim was a horseman transporting goods. He disappeared during the short 20 miles from Shanmao Town to Luosha Town, leaving behind a cart of goods. People followed the footprints, but unfortunately everything was destroyed day and night.

Covered by wind and sand.

Soon the next victim was born, who was a prestigious old man in Luosha Town. What was strange was that on the day he disappeared, everyone saw him talking to people as usual. People also wondered where he was going, but the old man walked out of the town.

He never came back.

The third victim was the port conductor in Bobcat Town. The poor woman just stayed in the cramped ticket office selling boat tickets and then disappeared.

Soon, the fourth, fifth and more victims appeared. Some disappeared suddenly, and some suddenly said strange words to relatives and friends, such as "It's calling me", "I'm leaving", and walked out of the town and disappeared.

Outskirts of town.

The residents of the two towns are all in danger. The local exorcist is only a temporary priest of a small church, not a real exorcist.

Their experience was almost the same as that of Mary Poppins, and it seems that the real murderer has been successfully found.

But where are Anna and Mary Poppins now?

He continued to ask the tavern owner if he had seen Mary Poppins and a figure shrouded in a cloak. The tavern owner shook his head and said he had never seen it.

Before Lu Li left, the tavern owner asked him to help the two towns resolve the crisis. Lu Li replied that he would consider it and left the tavern to meet up with Emin Grolin.

The tavern owner returned to the lobby, and the drinkers quickly asked him what happened, and some guests teased whether it was his rich nephew from afar.

"It's getting dark, you should go back."

The tavern owner waved his hand as if impatiently. "And please be polite, that respectable demon slayer from the Lord's Continent is here to help us solve our troubles."

"Demon Slayer!?"

The tavern with only a few people suddenly became noisy and noisy.

"I watched the news! The Demon Slayer is more powerful than the Exorcist!"

"Does the demon slayer have a way to solve the disappearance?"

"Did you tell the Demon Slayer that so many people disappeared in one day!"

The drinkers were jostling around, and the tavern owner took a deep breath and roared: "I have told Lu Li everything, now get out of my tavern!"

The guests complained one after another and were kicked out of the tavern by the unkind tavern owner. Looking at the deserted hall, the tavern owner's anger gradually faded and became strangely disharmonious.

The tavern owner bent down to pick up the shriveled wallet on the floor, and put it and a letter on the round table. Not long ago, there was a table of guests there. Then he numbly walked out of the tavern, like a stiff corpse entering a dark alley without light.

.

Not far away, three diners smelling of alcohol were walking towards the tavern. One of them was fumbling with his clothes as if he had lost something important.
