Thirty-two. Wonderful dream

In my memory, when Oliver showed this kind of flattery, it was usually when he was asking for something - an advance on his salary or asking for help.

"What's wrong."

Lu Li's gaze paused on Oliver's thin, monkey-like face.

Oliver has indeed been here on this day in the real world. So, is his purpose really the same in the Emerald Dream?

"Mrs. Slavic would like to apologize to you for being presumptuous that day..." Oliver carefully observed Lu Li's expression, but it was difficult to detect anything from that calm and handsome face.

Lu Li was also observing Oliver at the same time. He did not hold the Slavic lady's love letter in his hand.

It seems that things are going a little differently.

"Nothing." Lu Li said he didn't care. He was thinking about whether to let Oliver stay, even though it didn't make much sense.

He is dead after all, leaving him is no different than filling your stomach with sea breeze, except for the fact that he is deliberately showing it to the Emerald Dream.

Think of it as a way to increase expectations for the Emerald Dream, Lu Li thought, and prepared to let Oliver stay.

"And... this." Oliver suddenly stumbled and spoke, taking out a new letter with a pungent perfume smell from his underwear. "This is... a love letter written by Mrs. Slav to you."

As he finished speaking, an unkind look came from the bedroom.

Oliver seemed to be frozen, and his upper and lower teeth began to make "pah, pah, pah, pah" sounds.

"Close the door."

"Ah?" Oliver was stunned for a moment, shrinking his neck and closing the door of the detective agency.

"Close it from the outside." Lu Li's words came from behind the desk.

"oh……"

Oliver dragged his heavy body out as he walked out.

Lu Li's voice continued: "Go to Qiaoqiao, she misses you. And... don't go near the Shadow Swamp, it's no longer safe there."

"Okay boss!"

Oliver straightened his back and disappeared out the door.

Although the processes are different, the results are consistent.

"love letter?"

Anna pretended not to care, but kept stealing glances at the letters on the table.

"Who is the Slavic lady?"

"The person who rented the house to Oliver."

"uh-huh."

Anna waited for Lu Li to continue speaking, but Lu Li had already returned to silence.

Unwilling, Anna continued to stare at Lu Li. Finally, two minutes later, Lu Li responded by throwing the love letter into the trash can.

"Don't you want to take a look?" Anna asked deliberately.

"Don't look."

After receiving a satisfactory answer, Anna let Lu Li go and started her busy work today.

Anna hummed a beautiful song, put on an apron in her illusory soul, and cleaned the detective agency like a little maid.

The stone statue next to the clothes rack behind the door didn't like water. The humidity before the rainy season made the house less dusty, so Anna just used a feather duster to sweep the sculpture.

After finally mopping the floor and asking Lu Li not to walk around and step on the dirty and wet floor, Anna landed on the sofa like a feather, taking care of the flower pot on the window sill that had never sprouted buds, and then stared blankly at the bustling streets.

Lu Li looked at Anna's back, and an impulse that he had never seen before and that was completely opposite to his reason suddenly drove him to do something.

After a moment of silence, Lu Li said: "Do you want to go out?"

Anna, who was lying in front of the window, turned around in surprise: "What?"

Lu Li lowered his dark eyes: "Let's go to the beach and have a look."

Nothing but destruction can take away the traces of the ocean from Sailor Street. To a certain extent, the sailors who live here and the sea fish hanging on the ropes make Sailor Street more "seafood" than the seaside.

This also left Sailor Street with only one poor ready-made clothing store, which was filled with linen clothes worn by common people.

Lu Li bought a black robe from a clothing store two streets away. Anna walked into a deserted alley with a hidden aura: "Put it on and you won't have to hide in the other world."

A minute later, Lu Li and Anna, whose silhouette was shrouded in black robes, walked out of the alley.

The black robe covered Anna's confusing appearance. She was like a cold and ominous cultist, ignoring the pedestrians and carriages on the street and walking forward slowly.

"No...I can't see the road."

In fact, the cloak blocked her view, and she always stepped on the hem of the cloak.

"Float up."

Lu Li said, holding Anna's hand under the cloak.

Standing in front of the guardrail, thick clouds blocked the afternoon sun, flocks of seagulls circled over Rodster Harbor, and the whistles of arrival and departure could be heard in the distance.

The sea breeze blew Anna's cloak off. She was a little panicked and wanted to put it back on, but found that no one was paying attention, so she began to enjoy the vast scenery.

"I seem to smell the sea breeze..."

Anna was immersed in the vast leaden ocean, and suddenly turned her head to look at Lu Li with some disappointment.

He let go of Anna, squatted down, took off his shoes, rolled up his trouser legs, then picked Anna up again, holding the shoes with his other hand, and walked into the beach.

Anna and Lu Li walked side by side on the beach, leaving a trail of footprints behind them.

"Why did you suddenly think of... taking me to see the sea?"

The sea breeze blew her robe, swaying like a veil.

"have no idea."

"Did you bring me here because of the nightmare?" Anna tilted her head and asked.

"Um."

"Want to tell me about your dream?"

"The dream is very long."

"We have a lot of time, don't we..."

"Um."

The "dream" was indeed very long. Even if Lu Li didn't deliberately prolong it, it still reached the evening when the lights came on in Belfast.

Returning to the detective agency from the cold beach, Lu Li finally brought the story to a close.

"I woke up in the Emerald Dream and saw you."

Anna could only comfort Lu Li and forget about it: "Dreams are all opposite, and no matter what... I will not hurt you."

Lu Li said nothing.

It was getting late at night, and as usual, Anna whispered to Lu Li, who was lying on the sofa, "Good night."

"Good night." Lu Li replied.

The night was silent.

Throughout the next week, Lu Li seemed to no longer struggle with whether this was true or false - at least not in front of Anna.

Lu Li had to not let the Emerald Dream think that he was a poor person immersed in illusion and unable to escape.

This is like a tacit understanding between him and the Emerald Dream.

Lu Li kept the expectations of the Emerald Dream alive, and the Emerald Dream kept Lu Li from leaving.

Unfortunately, as time went by, the Emerald Dream seemed to get tired of it, and it began to proactively warn Lu Li: Anna tried to kill Lu Li twice.

Once, Anna found a to-do list written "Find a way to get out of here" written in the drawer, and another time, she found a love letter from a Slavic lady.

Lu Li waited quietly.

Waiting for the eternal night to leave.

At noon on the fourteenth day, Lu Li took out the dagger he had found under the bed three days ago and said goodbye to Anna who was wearing an apron and cleaning.

"It's time for me to go back."

"Those are all false, they are nightmares." Anna tried to stop Lu Li, but failed, and said sadly: "Why do you have to leave the dreamland... What's wrong here? Everyone is alive, and we can always live here...

"

Lu Li just said softly.

"She's waiting for me."
