One hundred and sixty-three. Staggered time

Lu Li had a bizarre dream.

He dreamed that nothing had happened yet, or that a scene had changed.

In the exotic West, in a peninsula seaport city called Bell, he opened a small detective agency to make a living.

During those days, he met Anna because of a commission. She often came to the detective agency to help, and their relationship was born.

It’s hard to forget the figure in the white dress in front of the bright sunshine and the blue sea.

But life in a foreign country is not peaceful, regardless of politics or security. Creditors come to visit, and the attitude of him and his men is disgusting. Anna quarrels with them, and finally turns violent.

Lu Li struggled with them, but the creditor pulled out a pistol from the waistband of his trousers, and there was a gunshot and blood splattered.

He lost her.

The colors in the dream faded away, and Lu Li slowly woke up with pain in the back of his head.

The oil lamp on the desk was dimly lit, illuminating the depressingly dark underground room.

They replace the bright world in dreams, only one thing remains unchanged.

He lost her.

"I fell asleep?"

Lu Li propped up his body and leaned against the cold wall.

The swelling on the back of the head hurts when it hits the wall, and is relieved by the cold.

"Yes... passed out."

Ophelia walked towards the door and said to Bishop Jon and other believers who were waiting outside.

"He... woke up."

When Lu Li passed out, Ophelia doubted everything here and prohibited the followers of the Church of Shadow from approaching.

They were also pious enough not to step foot into the room.

Now that Lu Li woke up, his previous coma had nothing to do with these heretics, and his suspicion was lifted.

"Come in..."

Bishop Jon and the two believers stepped into the room with fear and excitement, as if they were entering a church where the gods were watching compassionately.

"The letter... wrote... what." Ophelia asked.

"Nothing."

"Then why...why...were you unconscious?"

When the puzzled inquiry rang out, Ophelia suddenly felt that some kind of terrifying aura was swallowing him up.

The ground was shaking, dust was falling, and the muffled sound echoed in the corridor outside.

The cultists came to tell them that there was some kind of unobservable existence above the stone forest.

Ophelia suddenly looked at Lu Li, her once quiet black eyes seemed to be broken, losing their vitality and becoming gray, as if they were resonating with the existence above the ground.

"Do you want...to do it...again?" she suddenly asked.

"What."

Lu Li's eyes turned around, but there was no focus.

"You should have confidence in...her..."

Ophelia said.

"I believe...she...can come back."

This moved Lu Li more than any consolation.

The terrifying aura slowly disappeared, and the giant objects on the ground that happened to pass by gradually disappeared.

"Before...you have to...live...and...welcome her...return with beauty."

"Such as...this...world...itself."

"This world?"

Lu Li's pupils gradually converged.

"You are...an exorcist."

"You regard...this...world as...the craftsman who builds...a house, the carpenter who repairs...furniture, and the...painter who paints...the walls."

"I will...help you, just like...I once did...Anna."

Ophelia's hoarse voice delivered a touching speech.

"Saving...this...collapsed...world starts with...our partners..."

The missing Catalina and Andrea, the polluted Pusius, the weakly surviving Annie, and the Remi brother and sister who are suspected of migrating to Paradise Valley.

Lu Li finally calmed down due to Ophelia's comfort.

But who knows that it is not anything that a drowning person subconsciously grabs in order to survive.

Lu Li's current condition was not suitable for traveling in the mist and eternal night. Wandering weirdos liked the souls of lost people the most.

They rested for a day in the stone forest.

During this period, Bishop Jon swore to Lu Li that they would pay any price to find the Lord.

The Shadow Church, like Lu Li, is following Anna's footsteps.

The only difference is that they are craving Anna's power.

But Lu Li just wanted to find Anna herself.

Lu Li gave Bishop Jon a new mission for the Shadow Church.

"Find her."

The oil lamp stretched Bishop Jon's shadow into a long and narrow shape, and his rickety silhouette in the cloak looked like a monster. This reminded Lu Li that they were pagans, that they believed in evil spirits, and that they used human beings as sacrifices.

In Lu Li's eyes, this was wrong, but maybe he was wrong. Even if humans no longer abide by the laws of the past, how could they use old treaties to bind a group of pagans.

"Don't take the initiative to harm humans." Lu Li still added.

Bishop Jon bowed his head respectfully.

Lu Li and their master are one, what he says is what the master says, and they obey unconditionally, even if it means death.

Ophelia looked at this with joy, feeling that this was a sign of Lu Li's condition improving, although the change was so fast that she didn't say more comforting words.

"But it's time for you to continue resting."

"It will be difficult to control your thoughts when you rest." Lu Li shook his head gently.

The longer he stayed idle, the faster the surge of sadness and confusion squeezed out of the cracks overwhelmed him.

Staying busy is the only way to stay sane.

Lu Li asked Bishop Jon to continue.

"Also, due to your investigation, Wei Na Freeze Port is arresting our members on a large scale. Currently, two believers have been imprisoned by them."

Bishop Jon did not complain about this, he just stated the facts.

"when."

"Seven days ago and three days ago."

Lu Li recalled quietly.

Mayor Mateus did not say that they had caught any Shadow Church believers. The only believer who was discovered was still in the secret tracking stage.

"Who is the captor?"

"Judgement House."

Is it Mayor Matthäus or the trial court that has the problem...

Lu Li looked at the businessman Anthony in the corner: "Contact Mayor Mateus and tell him that the trial court arrested two Shadow Church believers three days ago and seven days ago."

Soon after, the businessman took out Mayor Mateus' letter.

There is only one simple line on it: "I know, I'll check it out."

Ugly politics and power, even if they are on the verge of death, a group of greedy people will still cling to them.

But it might also be due to suspicion of Lu Li.

In the early morning of the third day, the swelling on the back of Lu Li's head had subsided and it was time for them to leave.

Bishop Jon hoped that they could follow Lu Li on the road, but they were refused, and even the people who served him were not left behind despite Ophelia's insistence.

She still doesn't trust these guys from the Shadow Church.

However, Bishop Jon told Lu Li the contact information of all their strongholds, and Lu Li also left a few boxes of eyeballs calling for merchants. It was a pity that there was a lack of merchants, otherwise a merchant could be left in the stone forest and the Shadow Church could accept Lu Li's arrangements at any time.

Before leaving, Lu Li took out the book,

A white arm blocked him.

"It's waiting, not giving up." Anna's clear eyes were very close at hand.

"It's cumbersome to bring too many books." Lu Li answered with lowered eyes.

Ophelia, who was sorting out her clothes, turned to look.

Anna didn't say anything, she just gently tore off the page with the content written on it and put it into Lu Li's hand.

Whisper softly in your ear.

"Forget me not..."
