Level 19.1 Trial

"Alchemy trial?"

Soon after, businessman Anthony brought back a reply from Professor Chris: [‘Hunting’ in the Swamp]

Lu Li had never made an agreement with her. It sounded like Professor Chris sent the message to the wrong person.

Lu Li closed the book with only the title page open, put on his cloak and left the dormitory.

After passing the mixed area and the library that had not been closed, Lu Li's way was blocked by the skinny gatekeeper guarding the stairs.

"Leaving so late is not what a good student should do."

Lu Li showed the badge given to him by Professor Chris and stepped up the steps as if unwilling to be watched.

Trunk layer.

It was the second time he came to the Alchemy Office. Lu Li stopped briefly in the corridor to feel the possible attention around him, then opened the door and entered.

The simmering hanging pot disappeared, and Professor Chris sat by the campfire. She was wearing a nightgown, her curly long hair spread down, and her legs as smooth as suet shimmered. She held a book and spoke to her.

He read thick ancient books of a good size, had a witch-like high bridge of nose, and wore enlarged silver-rimmed glasses.

"What does swamp hunting mean?" Lu Li ignored the charming atmosphere flowing in the office.

"Do you still remember your 'servants', my dear?" Professor Chris closed the ancient book and put it aside, taking off his glasses: "They brought gifts, hoping to receive corresponding gifts."

Holders of other cursed titles.

"Wait for me for a moment, dear." Professor Chris stood up, and the pleated nightgown returned to smoothness, but it was still difficult to cover up her plumpness.

Professor Chris walked to the closet and her nightgown began to slip off. At this moment, Lu Li exited the office and waited outside the door.

Not long after, Professor Chris, who put on a loose robe to cover her body and tied up her long hair, walked out of the office and led Lu Li to the restricted area.

"I heard about your participation in the occult trial." Professor Chris seemed to have forgotten Lu Li's incomprehensible attitude before, and complained like crazy: "Why not alchemy?"

"Learning to unlock the power of the title requires a higher level of occultism."

The little giant-like Professor Chris makes Lu Li look like a child beside him.

"Try alchemy, you will be immersed in it... The wonderful and magnificent combination of knowledge is like the youthful body of a girl, the plump body of a beautiful lady, and even the weirdness you want..."

"What did Sterling leave in the notes?" The whisper in his ears did not shake Lu Li's will.

"The craftsmanship of the psychic gun and the insights into the theory of human nature." Professor Chris didn't care about his failure. "They are just on the bookshelf. The knowledge pollution is not that serious, but Sterling's sanity value is too low.

We all ignored his sanity due to his relatively normal performance..."

The price of carelessness is that the last scientist may disappear in the long night.

Professor Chris sighed as they stood on the elevator and descended at a constant speed.

"You can read and complete those notes, but don't take them back. The gatekeepers don't allow them to emerge from the cradle-like canopy."

This is a bit troublesome. Lu Li must complete the theory of human nature at the tree trunk level.

The tree hole on the surface appeared in the field of vision, and the descending elevator slowly passed by, falling deeper into the darkness.

Professor Chris handed Lu Li two bottles of medicine. In addition to the medicine he took last time he set foot on the surface, there was also a bottle of medicine with fluorescence floating on the surface.

"What's this."

The shimmer of fluorite emerged at the edge of the tree hole, and Lu Li saw in the darkness a building formed by hollowing out the rock surrounding the elevator.

Silhouettes move among them, and rooms are separated by iron bars.

Compared to the lower colleges, this place is more like a prison, a bottomless prison.

"Repellent potion. There are many annoying bugs in the swamp. Drink them and they won't crawl on you and leave."

Lu Li took the repellent potion, this time it smelled like rotten orange.

The elevator has passed through the lower college and plunged into a long, endless depth of rock formations.

When Lu Li judged that he was approaching the old sewer, a sudden bright light accompanied Professor Chris's words.

"We're here."

An underground world with no end in sight appears before your eyes.

Because there are no boundaries visible, they are vaster than the underground rock formations Lu Li has experienced. The ugly and obscure swamps extend into the distance, everything is enlarged, and the stalactite pillars connecting the domes are magnificent.

The thick and gnarled tree roots are exposed on the rock walls of the dome while anchoring them.

This makes the rock wall without tree root reinforcement deep in the swamp unstable. Occasionally, fragments will fall off from the dome and fall into the dark swamp with sparse woods below. Then after a long wait, gray mist will rise, and then again for an even longer time.

After waiting for a while, there was a faint sound.

Lu Li, who was high up in the underground world, looked into the distance, seeing a hazy and yellow mist at the end of his vision.

For this underground world, the elevator descending along a hanging root and the black spots on it are as small as dust.

"Are the foul sewers and strange jungle here too?" Lu Li asked.

"They're somewhere else."

It was obvious that Lu Li had misjudged the size of the restricted area.

"Are they also this vast?"

"It's another kind. The rotten sewers are like a maze, and the weird jungle can see the end but can't reach the end."

A few minutes later, the elevator landed at the bottom of the swamp.

The surrounding dirt was laid to raise the landing area above the swamp.

Kane, who was waiting here, knelt down on his skeletal body and said, "Master, please come with me."

Kane led the way, leading them to the edge of the landing zone on the left.

A row of cages holding dying weirdos are stored here, covered with a secret cloth to isolate them from pollution, waiting for Lu Li to solve them himself.

This experience of being eaten reminded Lu Li of something, and he lowered his eyes slightly.

Lu Li has no use for Sequence 2. He lacks human protection, and using a psychic gun to consume sanity points is unreasonable.

Professor Chris lent Lu Li a bottle of potion, and he just needed to sprinkle it evenly around the strange body in the cage.

Lu Li followed the instructions and sprinkled the potion into the cage through the gaps in the secret cloth. The damage it caused was negligible, but it was enough to deal with the dying monster who was unable to even scream.

The only proof that they are still alive is the slightly shaking cage.

Humanity begins to grow gradually.

The captured strange powers are limited, at least not as good as the birdcage ghosts brought by Professor Chris, but they are not barren either.

Sixteen "prey" added a total of 2.5 points of humanity to Lu Li, which was a fruitful harvest.

Moreover, one of the "prey" had already died due to serious injuries due to being left for too long, without any feedback on Lu Li's humanity.

"Master, they and the controllers from further away will arrive again with prey in a week, and your help will be needed then."

After Lu Li filled in the remaining missing humanity for Kane, he whispered respectfully.

There is also good news for Lu Li: other controllers are not as humble as Kane.

Because they have not yet touched the darkness of despair.

As for the growth of Lu Li's humanity, Professor Chris, who smelled Lu Li's scent, called this change: from cold bread to warm and soft bread.
