Chapter 74 Xiaofang

Ma Yan gently pushed open the ajar door. It was pitch dark inside and she couldn't see anything. She wanted to turn on the lights in the room, but she didn't know where the switch was, so she took out her phone and turned on the flashlight on her phone to look inside.

Take it.

"Who is it?"

A hoarse voice suddenly came from inside, startling Ma Yan. She stabilized her mind and pointed the light in the direction of the sound, and saw an old lady with a haggard face curled up on a bed, using two

Looking at her with eyes like black holes. The fishy smell on the bed went straight to Ma Yan's forehead.

"Ah!" Ma Yan exclaimed and took two steps back unconsciously.

"That's my mother." Lao Qiang walked into the room from Ma Yan and pressed the light switch on the wall.

The inhumane white light of the LED bulb instantly filled the entire room. Ma Yan saw clearly the furnishings of the room. There was a square table against the wall on the right, with several pairs of bowls and chopsticks placed on the square table. In the other corner of the room was a square table.

When the bed was opened, the old lady's eyes were already narrowed, as if she was asleep.

"Dad, is someone here?"

A young girl's voice came from the entrance of the courtyard. Everyone turned their heads and saw a little girl in school uniform walking in with a schoolbag on her back.

"We're back, Xiaofang, you do your homework first, and dad will go cook." Lao Qiang greeted his daughter and hurried back under the colored steel tiles.

Xiaofang politely said hello to Meng Liang and Ma Yan, put down her schoolbag, went to grandma's bedside, lifted the quilt on grandma, looked at it and said:

"Wait a moment, grandma, I'll get you some clothes."

After a while, Xiaofang took out a small mattress and some clothes from a suite inside, and began to change the bedding and clothes for the old lady who had wet the bed.

Although the old lady was not heavy, she was still a bit heavy for a little girl of about ten years old. Seeing her struggling, Ma Yan resisted the disgusting smell and stepped forward to help Xiaofang.

.

After changing the bedding and clothes, Xiaofang held the dirty clothes in her arms, bowed to Ma Yan, and whispered:

"Thanks!"

Ma Yan didn't know whether she should answer "No thank you", she just looked lovingly at Xiaofang's prematurely mature and handsome face. Xiaofang took the dirty clothes to the sink outside and threw them into an old washing machine.

Add some washing powder and press the switch, and the washing machine will start turning like a tractor.

When Xiaofang returned to the room, she took out her book from her schoolbag, lay down on the square table and started doing her homework. Ma Yan stood behind her and saw the little girl's handwriting was beautiful and neat.

"Your name is Xiaofang?" Ma Yan said, stroking her dry hair.

"Yeah." Xiaofang nodded.

"Where's your mother?"

"I don't know." Xiaofang shook her head.

"Do you miss mom?"

"No." Xiaofang shook her head.

"Why don't you want to?"

"Mom doesn't like our family." Xiaofang raised her head and looked at Ma Yan with her big, clear eyes.

Ma Yan couldn't bear to ask any more questions. She left Xiaofang's side and walked to the rooms on the left and right to look around. She found that there were four rooms in the house.

The easternmost room is a single bed, with a dirty quilt thrown randomly on the bed. The room next to the old lady is a double bed, and the bed is reasonably clean.

There is a wardrobe and a table. On the table are some cosmetics for women. To the west is a suite with a small bed and some dolls piled on the small bed.

There are actually four beds in this dilapidated home? One for the old lady, one for Lao Qiang and his wife, and one for the little girl. Whose is the dirty bed on the east side? Thinking of this, Ma Yan returns to her small home.

Fang’s side asked:

"Xiaofang, how many people are there in your family?"

"Five people." Xiaofang looked at Ma Yan with confusion and answered.

"Who are they?"

"My grandma, my parents and I, and my uncle." The little girl pointed to the room to the east and said:

"That's his room."

"Where has your uncle gone?" Ma Yan asked.

"I don't know, he hasn't been home for several days." Xiaofang shook her head and said.

Ma Yan originally wanted to ask Xiaofang a few more questions, but at this time Lao Qiang called Xiaofang in the yard.

"Xiaofang, please clean up your homework. It's time to eat."

"Why."

Xiaofang obediently put her homework into her schoolbag, picked up the dishes on the table and walked out. Ma Yan seized this opportunity and took out the photo of the laborer in Zhongjiang to show Xiaofang.

"Who is this guy?"

Xiaofang took the photo, looked at it carefully and said:

"He is my uncle."

"Isn't this obviously your father?" Ma Yan asked.

"No, auntie, although my dad and my uncle are twins, they look exactly the same, so it's hard for outsiders to tell them apart. But I can recognize them." A confident smile appeared on Xiaofang's face for the first time.

"How do you tell the difference?"

"My uncle was bitten by a dog when he was sick when he was a child. A small piece of his left ear is missing. You can find it if you look carefully." After Xiaofang said this, she picked up the bowls and chopsticks and walked out.

Ma Yan walked under the bright LED bulb, held the photo close to the bright light, and looked carefully at the left ear of the person in the photo. Sure enough, there was a small missing corner on the upper part of his left ear.

"Ah, so that's it!" Ma Yan suddenly realized.

The Lao Qiang involved in the Zhongjiang car accident case was not the real Lao Qiang at all. He was Lao Qiang's twin brother. He took Lao Qiang's ID card and went to Zhongjiang with Lao Qiang's wife Li Ping. Thinking of this, Ma Yan quickly returned to the yard.

, at this time, Lao Qiang and Xiaofang had already walked into the house with their meals, while Meng Liang and Ge Jiang were standing at the door of the yard smoking cigarettes.

"I'm sorry, officer, we have to eat first. The house is dirty, so I won't let you in." Lao Qiang and Xiaofang walked into the house with the food in their hands.

Ma Yan walked to the gate of the hospital and told Meng Liang and Ge Jiang what she had discovered. Meng Liang and Ge Jiang looked at Ma Yan with their mouths open, and they did not recover for a long time.

"What are you doing, you two?" Ma Yan said angrily.

"Oh, my great detective, if this case is solved today, I will go back and ask you for merit. It will be a proper third-class merit and you will not run away." Meng Liang grabbed Ma Yan's shoulders with both hands and shook her vigorously.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't ask clearly when I came yesterday." Ge Jiang apologized full of regret.

"Okay, you shook me to pieces." Ma Yan opened Meng Liang's arm and asked:

"Then what next?"

"Then what else can we do? Let's go and ask clearly." Meng Liang walked into the yard as he spoke. Ma Yan grabbed him from behind and said:

"Wait a minute and ask them to finish their food."

The three of them stood at the door of the courtyard in a happy mood and looked at the three grandparents and grandsons inside. Lao Qiang helped the old lady up and leaned on the bed, while Xiaofang sat on the bedside with a bowl and fed the old lady one bite at a time.

A gurgling sound came from someone's stomach. The three of them looked at each other and smiled knowingly at the same time.
