After more than two years, it’s time to put it on the shelves again.
Since 2018, I haven't written Xianxia for a long time. People often ask me when I will write Xianxia again. My answer is basically, "There are no plans at the moment" or "If I have new ideas."
When I finished writing "Destined to be a Phoenix" at the end of 2017, I felt that I had entered a bottleneck state. Three books and more than seven million words completely cleared my mind of the imagination of the world of immortals.
On the one hand, as a creator, I need new stories to bring me freshness. On the other hand, without good ideas, opening another Xianxia book is just repeating myself. So I put it aside for the time being.
Now this title of the book may be familiar to some old readers. When I finished writing "Tianfang", I showed it to everyone. I had some ideas at the time, but in the end it didn't come to fruition, so I said, let's write a book of ancient poems first.
Opened "Hidden Pearls".
After two long years, "Hidden Pearls" was finally finished. My creative state was gradually recovering, and I felt that I could write this book.
I finished the book in December and started a new book in April. There was more than three months in between. But I actually only took a month off. After the Spring Festival, I was preparing for this book.
Don’t look at the fact that it doesn’t have a manuscript saved yet. In fact, I wrote at least three editions of the settings for it, and the manuscripts have been saved for two rounds. But in the first two days of starting the book, I thought about it over and over again, and I always felt that it was not on point yet.
So I decided to rewrite the beginning, and then it became a naked update.
I really don’t deserve to save the manuscript…
Fortunately, after writing the wedge and the first two chapters, I caught that feeling, and things got better from there.
I hope to write this book in a happy state and maintain my desire to create. Therefore, I will try to update it as much as possible, but if I feel tired, I will not force it.
Please forgive me. As a middle-aged man with chronic diseases, I have reached the age where I should take care of my health.
At the same time, I also hope that it can bring you reading enjoyment and experience a different scenery.
Thank you very much to the readers who helped me get out of the trough.
Thanks to mrvin, ^_^ Feng Yingxiong, Luo Linghh, Zhengzhizhiyangshihai, Yueying*Luoyi, Paopao0303, Less than Spring... and other readers who rewarded and voted for the new book issue.
Let's start this new journey.
