Chapter 4 Don't Let My Brother Be Condemned

The man has a tall and straight figure, deep and unruly eyebrows, and his affectionate peach blossom eyes are alluring but somewhat distant.

Jing Qingye noticed her gaze, stretched out his hand to pull Jing Yuchen over, and explained: "This is my brother. He just came out of it and happened to see you, so he came to ask."

Jing Yuchen: "..."

Turning his head, he saw Jing Qingye's warning gaze.

He kept silent and acted as a tool.

Zhong Li was speechless.

He looks like a human being, but I didn't expect him to be like this.

"I met some gangsters on the street and called the police." She tilted her head and started to leave.

Before he had taken a few steps, an enthusiastic voice sounded from behind.

"Little brother, let me take you home." Feeling inappropriate, Jing Qingye added, "It might rain outside."

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a muffled thunder, raindrops fell suddenly, and the rain became heavier within a moment.

Three people present: "..."

Zhong Li looked helpless, "Thank you then."

She didn't want to brave the rain, let alone call her family to come here to pick her up.

Inside the carriage.

Jing Yuchen sat in the driver's seat, glanced at Jing Qingye from the rearview mirror, and then looked at Zhong Li, his dark eyes shimmering with tiny glints.

"Where are you going, little brother?"

His eyes fell on her bandaged arm and he suggested: "Why don't I take you to the hospital for a checkup first?"

Zhong Li didn't answer.

She has never accepted the kindness of strangers easily, and this time she had no choice but to do so.

Anyway, just take her away from here.

Jing Yuchen took her as acquiescence and drove to the hospital.

There were only two people left in the back seat.

Seemingly feeling embarrassed, Jing Qingye took the initiative to stir up the topic.

"What high school will my little brother go to this year?"

Zhong Li replied nonchalantly: "Third year of high school."

Jing Qingye nodded silently in her heart.

Well, almost an adult.

"If you are busy, you can put me on the road."

Zhong Li's clear eyes were staring at the building falling backwards outside the window.

This world was too unfamiliar to her, and she had just come out of the Public Security Bureau, so she had to be careful.

Before Jing Qingye could speak, he was interrupted by the person in the driver's seat.

A charming smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, and his well-jointed hands tapped the steering wheel rhythmically.

"My little brother has just been wronged, and it's raining outside. Wouldn't this make my brother condemned?"

Zhong Li said no more.

Hospital.

After bandaging the wound, Zhong Li came out and saw Jing Qingye at the door. His brows furrowed slightly but quickly relaxed.

"Thank you." She said thank you simply to reassure the other person, "I have nothing to do, I will go back first."

Seeing that the target was about to run away, Jing Qingye quickly stood in front of her.

"Little brother, look at the long wound on your arm just after you came out of there. I'm a little worried."

Zhong Li looked down at his twice-bandaged arm with a calm expression.

"I'm fine."

As soon as I left the hospital, I saw a man standing upright not far away.

He was chewing a cigarette on his thin lips and leaning lazily on the car, his eyebrows were thin and devoid of any emotion.

Hearing the movement, Jing Yuchen looked over and his eyes fell on Zhong Li, coming towards him.

"Little brother is leaving?"

Jing Qingye came over and tugged on his sleeve, signaling for him to stop him.

This movement was obviously noticed by Zhong Li.

She nodded.

Then he looked away, not wanting to be entangled any further.

A slight smile appeared on Jing Yuchen's lips, "It's still raining outside and you are injured. Brother, I am a good person and will do my best. How about I send you home?"

Zhong Li frowned.

The other party has already helped her a lot, and she can handle other things by herself.

He said calmly: "No, thank you."

But Jing Yuchen didn't intend to let her go.
