19. Your body is the same

Throughout the night, Rohr did not dare to fall asleep, and remained in a state of half-asleep and high alert.

He was afraid that someone would suddenly kick open the door and yell, "Aha! Hand over your little donkey!"

Then he led a group of people to attack him, hacked him to death, and snatched away the donkey.

Fortunately, no such misfortune happened, and we spent the night peacefully.

After having some breakfast, he asked his boss about the location of the church in town and planned to go see a doctor.

The hospitals in this world are integrated with various sects, and the sects here are very different from those on earth. The religious atmosphere is very weak, and they do not believe in real gods, but believe in certain concepts.

For example, the very famous 'Science and Truth' sect in the empire believes in the concept of 'exploring the truth of the world through science', rather than the god of science.

This is undoubtedly a more high-end and purer belief model.

In addition to those simple beliefs, they also undertake academic research, social relief, psychological counseling and other functions. Compared with religion, they are more like a functionally integrated social institution.

But the strange thing is that gods do exist in this world.

For example, various evil gods...

This model of belief seems very strange.

However, Rohr did not study it in depth. He was not interested in this kind of thing. His knowledge of the sect was that he often went to the hospital when he was still in the swordsman group.

I practiced too hard and got injured all the time. I became a frequent visitor to church.

According to the address provided by his boss, he found a 'Good Life' sect.

This sect believes in the concept that "if you love life and work hard, you will usher in a better life." It has a taste of chicken soup.

Their church was also divided into two parts. One side carries out normal religious activities, and the other side is a hospital for treating diseases and saving lives.

In principle, there is no need to pay for medical treatment, but you need to queue up and the queue is very long.

A frequent visitor like Rolle naturally understood the truth and stuffed a few banknotes into an offering box next to the queue.

Sure enough, a priest came to him soon, jumped in line and went through the back door. Soon he saw a priest wearing a white coat with a big smiling face embroidered on his chest.

That smiling face is their sect's emblem.

"Hello Pastor."

Rolle said hello first.

But the doctor corrected him unhappily:

"Call me doctor, or doctor, I'm not like those idiots next door."

"Tell me, where do you feel uncomfortable?"

"Ah, it's like this, I have a friend, he recently..."

Rolle was about to state his condition, but the doctor interrupted him with a sudden wave of his hand.

"Is the friend you are talking about yourself?"

Are all the people in your sect so individual?

"Well, I have encountered some inexplicable phenomena since last night..."

Luo Er honestly described the strange situation he encountered last night. The doctor listened silently and took notes carefully.

"Doctor, do you think I am cursed?"

After finishing speaking, Rohr asked with some worry.

The doctor glared at him with an unhappy expression and scolded:

"Are you the doctor or am I the doctor?"

Luo Er was speechless for a moment...

The doctor stared at the records for a long time, then stood up and rummaged through some medical records in the cabinet at the back. After comparing them left and right, he sat back down and asked:

"Besides this weird phenomenon, are there any other discomforts?"

"No, I've always been in good health."

Roll replied.

The doctor was noncommittal and took out a stethoscope and listened to the movements inside Rolle's body. He then dazzled his eyes with a flashlight, and finally took out a tuning fork and dangled it in his ear.

After a simple inspection, he muttered in a low voice:

"Preliminary observation shows that there is no abnormality in the body, no mental abnormality, and no curse characteristics..."

Then he asked Rolle to lie on the bed next to him.

"Relax your mind and don't resist."

After that, he muttered something, and the big smiling face on the white coat on his chest began to shine.

Is he actually performing magic?

A guy who doesn't allow others to call him a priest and calls his colleague next door a magician is actually using magic?

Luo Er's eyes couldn't help but widen slightly, but he didn't expect that this weird doctor was actually a transcendent!

"What's wrong with you? Didn't you tell me to relax? Why didn't you listen to the doctor?"

Luo Er was speechless by his retort and obediently allowed him to use his magic to examine his body.

After seeing Rolle's metal prosthesis, the doctor was slightly stunned, but didn't say much.

Finally, the doctor came to the conclusion:

"The possibility of a curse is basically ruled out. Your body is very healthy and well maintained. It's very rare for people of your age..."

"But you have some muscle strain, and I have already treated it for you..."

"Your prosthetic limb is well made and fits your body very well. It seems that you have met a powerful engineer."

"You have practiced swordsmanship, but have never been exposed to extraordinary power?"

Rolle shook his head.

"Wise choice."

A self-deprecating smile appeared on the doctor's face, and he finally concluded:

"In short, you are healthy and have not been cursed. The strange phenomena that happened before may be pure accidents, or they may be due to encountering a blackmail gang that specifically bullies you, a foreigner..."

"It's good that you managed to convince them without getting hurt."

"However, these are only preliminary conclusions, and the follow-up remains to be seen. If you encounter something strange like this again, remember to come to me as soon as possible."

Luo Er nodded. Although this doctor has a weird temper, he is still very serious and responsible.

But when he was about to leave, the doctor suddenly asked again from behind:

"Ah, I almost forgot, have you come into contact with sacred objects recently?"

Rohr was a little confused and asked:

"Do you look like I have access to those?"

"Well, I think so... It's all right. Remember to drink more hot water and rest more. Next one!"

After leaving the hospital, Rolle continued to wander around the town as he did yesterday, and remained very cautious.

Don't join in the fun, just walk around when you see the ferocious-looking people.

After wandering around like this for a long time, I didn't encounter the strange situation again.

"It seems that the doctor's judgment is correct. It was just a coincidence, or he met a local with malicious intentions."

Rolle relaxed his mind and strolled around the city until he was attracted by an amphitheater.

Several actors happened to be on stage to interpret the story of Mary Sue, the shining star swordswoman.

It's interesting, you can take a look.

Luo Er found a place to sit down and quietly enjoyed the story of this otherworldly Mary Sue.
