80. Lost

After leaving the alley, Jeanne noticed that Rolle's face was not very good-looking, and she quickly said apologetically:

"I'm very sorry, Mr. Rohr, for letting you see these things. I am really a disgusting woman, right?"

Rohr shook his head slightly, probably guessing what she was going to say next, and refused first:

"I sympathize with your situation, but I'm really just an ordinary person. I'm sorry, but I can't help."

A little disappointment flashed across Jeanna's beautiful face, but she quickly returned to her normal smile and bowed slightly towards Rolle.

"I understand. I'm sorry for wasting so much of your time. It was a pleasant time talking to you."

She was planning to say goodbye.

Of course, Luo Er had no intention of keeping her, so he politely said goodbye to her, and the two parted ways on the street corner.

After Jeanne walked away, the little cat poked its head out of her shirt pocket and took a breath.

It seemed to be very afraid of Jeanne's appearance. It had been hiding in its pocket and refused to show its head.

Rolle and his guide were walking on their way to stay. By chance, they encountered another gang fight, forcing him and his guide to take a detour.

"Are there so many things like this in this damn place?"

Rohr couldn't help but ask.

The guide nodded and said bitterly:

"It happens all the time. In fact, what I saw today is considered good, but there are even more extreme ones. When I came here last time, I saw..."

"Okay, okay! Stop talking!"

Rohr waved his hands repeatedly to stop the other party from continuing.

This place is simply a real purgatory on earth...

He took out two more bills from his pocket and ordered:

"Let's change our itinerary and go to the Ruins Valley now. We won't stay here today..."

"This damn place makes me feel sick."

The guide agreed very much with his plan and echoed:

"You really made a wise choice! We can stay at my relatives' house in the countryside. That village is very close to the valley you want to go to."

The two of them quickly left the city and headed towards the west of Gaoshan Fort. It took them another half day and they arrived at the village near dusk.

When Luo Er came along, he found that there were dozens of villages, large and small, on the outskirts of the valley. There were also a lot of people, and they seemed to be living well and very energetic. The farmland on the roadside was also growing gratifyingly.

I saw a lot of hardworking people.

Compared to the city, it can be said that we can settle down and work in peace.

According to the guide's introduction, this valley was originally called the 'Valley of the Cursed'. Legend has it that terrible monsters live in the depths and will devour any creature that dares to come close. Therefore, the entire area is basically undeveloped and still retains dense vegetation.

Forest, very natural style.

But later, people proved that the legend was false and the monster did not appear. More and more people moved here. They would rather risk being eaten by monsters than live in the city.

The devil's claws of the Alpine Castle have not yet reached out, and the people here have a little breathing space, so the valley was renamed 'Refuge Valley'

The relative's house where Rohr and the others stayed was a simple old farmer who couldn't speak the imperial language. However, with the help of Zaza's translator, they welcomed Rohr and prepared the best and largest room for him to live in.

Early the next morning, Luo Er first inquired about the approximate location of the ancient ruins, then left the guide behind, took only some dry food, mounted a donkey, and went into the valley to find his daughter.

As a result, not long after leaving, he regretted leaving his guide behind...

This valley is so big, and it maintains a very primitive forest style. Once you walk in, it's like entering a maze, and you get lost at the speed of light.

Embarrassing in capital letters...

"There is no other way. In this situation, I can only rely on my own feelings..."

Rohr whispered to himself and began to wander around in the forest.

Just like when he participated in the assessment trial.

As a result, this wandering around lasted most of the day...

Seeing that it was getting darker and darker, he failed to find the excavation site that the villagers said was very big, very conspicuous, and easy to find...

"No...it can't be right? I won't really be lost, right?"

Luo Er was really a little panicked now, and quickly called back the little milk cat that was flying around and fluttering butterflies.

"Do you smell Kelly?"

Little milk cat: "Meow meow meow?"

Rohr couldn't understand what it was saying, so he had to ask the little donkey who was grazing with his head down:

"What about you? Do you know the difference between east, west, north and south?"

Little donkey:"……"

"Hey, what's the use of me bringing you out? Just kill them and eat them!"

Rohr said angrily.

The little milk cat and the little donkey were immediately frightened and trembled, and they quickly worked hard to avoid being eaten.

The little donkey was stupid, so he could only pass the half-chewed carrot to Rolle with his mouth.

The little milk cat was much smarter. He ran to the side and picked up a tree branch. Then he jumped on the donkey's head, let go of his mouth, and let the tree branch fall naturally...

"Meow meow meow meow!"

The little kitten meowed in the direction pointed by the tree branch.

Luo Er was so amused by these two little guys that he couldn't laugh or cry...

However, since we are just walking around based on our feelings anyway, why not try our luck as a little milk cat?

Of course, even if this direction turns out to be wrong, he will not really eat the kitten. At most, his future food will be downgraded from carrots to potatoes.

However, before he had gone far, he saw a large number of flying birds startling in the woods ahead. A series of flapping sounds of wings were mixed with some crisp sounds...

That was the sound of swords clashing!

Rolle ran over quickly, passed through a bush in front, and saw a river beach covered with pebbles.

Further on the river beach, three men in armor were fighting.

One of them is particularly conspicuous. The armor is silver-gray with light blue arcane magic patterns on the surface. There is a single horn projecting forward on the helmet.

Even including the unicorn, his height is no more than 1.6 meters, so he is particularly conspicuous.

This short armored man has excellent swordsmanship. When facing two enemies who are several heads taller than him, he can advance and retreat in a controlled manner without falling behind.

But the two opponents are not vegetarians...

Their methods were very strange. One was extremely fast and as slippery as a loach. They kept their distance and sprayed the short man with secret techniques and firearms like fireworks.

The other figure is looming, ethereal and real, like a ghost. It has been entangled with the short man at close range, creating output opportunities for his teammates.

Thanks to the short armored man's swordsmanship, the sword light in his hand flashed one after another, and he deflected the arcane balls, bullets, etc. that hit him one by one, and he was unharmed.

He can also easily suppress the enemy with a sword until he cannot lift his head.

The balance of victory and defeat has begun to slowly tilt towards the short man...
