86. Naive Children

On Luo Er's side, after convincing others with his reasoning, he returned to the river beach where he camped and got into the tent.

Keli was sleeping soundly and had no idea what was happening.

Maybe he felt that he was very safe with his father by his side, so he didn't even have to be vigilant at all.

Luo Er quietly got into his sleeping bag and fell asleep next to his daughter, feeling particularly peaceful.

The next day, when the father and daughter woke up, they first went to the nearby creek to wash their faces and brush their teeth. Then Luo Er turned his left hand into a comb and combed his daughter's twin tails, and it was time to say goodbye.

"Okay, when you go back, you must pay attention to safety and don't go into the dark place casually...and don't mess with the utensils, coffins, bottles, etc. inside..."

Luo Er gave a few serious instructions.

Keli nodded vigorously, blinked again and said:

"Dad, remember your promise to visit me every few days."

This set of archaeological activities may last for a long time, because the underground ruins are large in scale, and the father and daughter agreed with each other that Rohr would come back to see his daughter every two or three days.

After reluctantly saying goodbye to his daughter, Rolle continued to let the little milk cat and the little donkey show the way, leaving the valley and heading to the guide's relative's house.

It took him a whole morning to find a path to leave, but as soon as he walked out of the forest, he met an acquaintance on the roadside.

The beautiful female teacher Jeanne stood alone on the roadside, holding on to the sun hat on her head, and the hem of her long skirt and a few strands of golden hair were slightly lifted by the mountain wind.

It looks really beautiful and eye-catching.

"Mr. Rohr, I have been waiting for you here for a long time. I have something very important to say to you."

What does this woman want to do?

How did she find herself?

Luo Er felt wary.

"I found your guide and inquired about your whereabouts, so I will wait for you here at dawn."

Jeanne explained first and then continued:

"This matter is related to everyone's future and the archaeological activities inside. Can you give me such an honor to talk to you alone?"

Rohr was very hesitant...

He really didn't want to have anything to do with this woman and the resistance organization behind her.

However, I sympathize with the suffering of the people here...

Just think of it as a way to allow your daughter to do archeology with peace of mind. Let’s just listen to what she has to say?

It can't be a confession, right?

After struggling for a while, Luo Er nodded.

So Jeanne took him to the next village, and whispered a reminder on the way:

"There are many people in the village, so you may consider wearing a mask."

What difference does it make if you wear this mask or not?

Rolle cursed in his heart, but he still followed Jeanne's suggestion and took out the useless mask from his left hand.

Jeanne then led him through the cellar to the large-scale underground base.

Rolle looked around and was surprised by the size and number of people in this secret base, and he had a slight change in his mind towards Jeanne and her resistance organization.

Do they look like they're serious?

But the more this happens, the harder it is to get involved with them, even if it will cause huge trouble.

Luo Er murmured in his heart and secretly decided:

Even if I, Luo Er, starve to death, die outside, or jump from here, I will never have sex with this woman!

I will listen to what she has to say. If there is no threat to my daughter, I will turn around and leave!

The two came to an underground conference room with good lighting and ventilation, and then Jeanne said straight to the point:

"Mr. Rohr, our resistance movement needs your support and help, we need strong men like you!"

At this time, Luo Er didn't know that she had witnessed her convincing people with reason last night, and she still said in a serious and modest manner:

"Sorry, please allow me to refuse. I have said it several times. I have no ability or interest to help. I am just a fifth-level person, not even a transcendent."

Although what he said was very serious and candid, Jeanne didn't seem to believe it. She covered her mouth and chuckled:

"I didn't expect Mr. Rolle to have a unique sense of humor. Hehe, I don't hate it..."

She completely took Rolle's remarks as a joke.

"Mr. Rohr, I am not the kind of unrealistic woman. I have never thought of getting you to agree with just one word. I am already prepared with enough sincerity."

As she spoke, she raised her hand and snapped her fingers, and two young men suddenly walked in carrying a box tightly tied with heavy iron chains.

They spent another long time untying the chain on the box, and took out a small silver suitcase from inside, placing it in front of Rohr.

"I hope this sincerity can impress you."

Jeanne stretched out her hand and made a 'please' gesture.

Rohr unceremoniously opened the box and took a look. Inside was a light blue, unique-shaped belt that looked like it was equipped with some kind of complex device?

What the hell is this? A transformation belt?

Roll wanted to ask a question, but he heard Jeanne continue to ask:

"With your knowledge, you should know what this is, right? Do you feel our sincerity?"

Two months ago, I was just an ordinary mountain villager. I didn’t even know what this thing was. How can I feel such sincerity?

Rohr cursed in his heart and was a little anxious. Jeanne's words made him embarrassed to ask, it was too out of character.

Tharol is also a decent person who cares about face, right?

Fortunately, the mask prevented others from seeing the embarrassment written all over his face...

What should I do? How can I pretend to be knowledgeable?

Rolle sat motionless and did not reach out to touch this strange belt. He looked at it in Jeanne's eyes, as if he was evaluating and weighing it.

She didn't interrupt and waited patiently.

There was silence in the conference room for a long time before I heard Rohr whisper:

"This alone may not be enough..."

This was the best thing he could think of.

As expected, the young people who came in carrying the box immediately showed an unhappy look, and one of them said unconvinced:

"Do you know what this is?! This is the next-generation deformable armor newly developed by the barbarians. It is the most cutting-edge scientific crystallization of the barbarians. Its technology is a whole generation ahead of the country bumpkins of your empire!"

Another added:

"Do you know how much this set of armor can be sold for on the black market outside? If you take it to the Imperial Scholars Association, you can definitely get a legion of extraordinary beings!"

Although I don’t know how much it can be sold for, I still thank you both for your timely answers...

Rohr snickered in his heart and asked Jeanne:

"Are all the people in your organization such innocent children?"
