Chapter 7: One wave comes after another

His father's action was really sudden. Even Xiaoqiang didn't expect his father to do such a thing. But after thinking about it, he understood his father's difficulties, but he felt a little sorry for the slap his mother received.

This slap left my mother at a loss, and coupled with my father's sharp eyes, my mother didn't dare to resist and obediently took out the few remaining copper coins from her sleeve.

The moment he took the copper coin and turned around, a look of distress and regret flashed in his father's eyes. Then he quickly came to the soldier, held his hands in front of him and said in a low voice.

"Master Jun, do you think this is successful?"

Seeing his father's actions, Bingtou's anger subsided by three points. Looking at the ten extra copper coins in his hand, a faint smile appeared on his face.

But at this moment, the bewildered mother gradually came back to her senses from her trance. She touched her red and swollen face, and for a moment she showed an expression of disbelief.

Then the look on his face turned into an unprecedented anger that rushed into his head. His eyes exploded like a mad tigress yelling and she rushed towards his father, and they immediately started fighting.

For a moment, the city gate became chaotic. Pedestrians passing by stopped to watch, shouting and laughing, and some even pointed and snickered.

Seeing that the incident was getting louder and louder, Bingtou's face darkened. He quickly walked up to the two people who were fighting, pulled his father away who was pinned to the ground, and then hit his mother with his fist.

The father was horrified when he saw this, and wanted to step forward to stop him, but because his body was held down by the soldier with one hand, he could not break away at all. He could only watch the fist fall, with tears already welling up in his eyes.

Just as Bingtou's fist was about to fall on his mother, a green light suddenly appeared and hit Bingtou. Then he saw that the fist that was about to fall on his mother seemed to have been affected by some kind of interference and changed its direction.

He passed by his mother's side.

The blow was fruitless. There was surprise and confusion in Bingtou's eyes. He wanted to stabilize his body and punch again, but his eyes suddenly turned black, foaming at the mouth, and he fell to the ground with a plop.

There was no movement for a breath.

The soldiers nearby saw the situation and hurriedly came forward to check the situation. After calling the soldier's name several times but getting no response, the soldiers who gathered around suddenly felt that something was wrong, so one of them put his finger on the tip of the soldier's nose to check.

After a while, a burst of exclamation was heard.

"Dead, dead, the boss is dead!"

This exclamation immediately caused a commotion among the passers-by who were watching. Some passers-by who were afraid of being implicated ran towards the city gate in a panic. The remaining people did not dare to stay longer after seeing this, and swarmed into the city.

Seeing that something was wrong, the soldiers guarding the city immediately erected a fence in an attempt to stop the crowds from pouring into the city. However, due to the huge flow of people, they were able to stop the left side, but missed the right side. They were a little confused for a while, but they could only

Xiaoqiang's parents were closely watched by three soldiers and never moved an inch.

Seeing that things were getting serious, Xiaoqiang sighed slightly and stood up slowly. A small head appeared from his sleeves, and he saw that it looked like the pet Xiaoqing he had conquered before.

The thoughts exchanged for a moment, and Xiaoqing nodded slightly, then slid to the ground along Xiaoqiang's palm, and disappeared in the blink of an eye, while Xiaoqiang slowly walked towards the direction of his parents.

At this moment, because of the sudden death of the soldier, the parents stopped fighting. Instead, they hugged each other in fear and looked at the body on the ground tremblingly.

As Xiaoqiang got closer and closer, a phantom card appeared in his hand. When the phantom card soldiers turned into countless light points and sank into Xiaoqiang's body, his eyes instantly became sharp and his body muscles tightened even more.

He tensed up, waiting for the right moment to save his parents.

But at this moment, a horse neighed inside the city gate, and then countless soldiers were seen pouring into the city gate. Just a dozen breaths were enough to stop the rioting crowd, and the crowd was driven back to both sides of the road.

Looking to the side, a woman wearing soft armor riding a tall horse slowly entered Xiaoqiang's sight.

The other party looked to be in his twenties, with cold eyes and sharp eyebrows, and his whole body exuded a coldness that could repel people thousands of miles away. Even the soldiers following him vaguely distanced themselves.

The woman appeared and immediately noticed the fallen soldier and asked.

"What's going on?"

The soldiers guarding the city said hurriedly.

"Reporting to the general, these two unruly people were causing trouble here. The leader stepped forward to stop them. Unexpectedly, he collapsed to the ground because of their plot. He has no breath at this moment."

When the woman surnamed Yuan heard this, her eyes suddenly showed surprise, but as her eyes examined Xiaoqiang's parents, the surprise in her expression gradually turned into confusion.

After thinking for a moment, the woman surnamed Yuan came to squat in front of Bingtou's body. After a careful inspection, she immediately discovered that there was a needle-like wound on the back of Bingtou's hand, and the surface of his skin began to petrify.

Upon seeing this, the woman surnamed Yuan frowned, and after thinking for a moment, her expression suddenly became surprised, and then she stood up and shouted to the soldiers behind her.

"Close the city gate immediately!"

After that, without explaining, he walked outside the city wall while the city gate was closed, and kept scanning the area around the city gate, as if he was looking for something.

After several breaths, when the woman surnamed Yuan noticed that there was nothing strange at the city gate, his eyes fell on Xiaoqiang's parents again. After a closer look, her brows wrinkled slightly, and then she looked at the other side.

Calm Xiaoqiang.

As if a little surprised by the calmness of the child in front of her, the woman surnamed Yuan walked over. This action immediately made Xiaoqiang's parents worried, and they immediately came to protect Xiaoqiang.

But how could the soldiers surrounding them let the two of them move around as they pleased? Several bright spears immediately stood in front of them and scolded them.

"Go back and don't move!"

The two stopped in fear, but Xiaoqiang's mother begged the woman named Yuan anxiously.

"General, he is just a child, you must not hurt him."

Hearing the pleading voice behind her, the woman named Yuan turned around and smiled.

"I didn't mean to hurt your son, I just wanted to ask him a few words."

After hearing this, Xiaoqiang's mother felt relieved, but the worry in her eyes did not fade away.

The woman surnamed Yuan slowly came to Xiaoqiang and asked.

"Did you just see something?"

Xiaoqiang thought for a moment, then nodded. This move immediately aroused the curiosity of the woman named Yuan, who asked.

"What did you see?"

Xiaoqiang said, "I saw a green light shoot out from the grass over there, hit the soldier, and then disappeared."

Hearing this, the woman surnamed Yuan became nervous for some reason and looked in the direction Xiaoqiang pointed for a long time.

After confirming that there was nothing strange in the grass, she walked over cautiously, and even drew out the weapon from her waist, as if facing a formidable enemy.

The personal guard of the woman surnamed Yuan saw it and immediately followed her, but the girl stopped her.

"Don't come over here."
