Chapter 62 Priorities

Almost like a knee-jerk reflex, Jian Anran stood up with her bag and wanted to support Xu Nianhe.

Wen Siheng in front of him hesitated for a moment, but made no move.

"Call an ambulance quickly? Why are you standing there stunned?" Jian Anran shouted anxiously towards Wen Siheng.

Although she didn't have a good impression of her current predecessor, seeing Xu Nianhe's painful look, Jian Anran could still understand the priorities of things.

In the past ten years, Wen Siheng has known that Xu Nianhe has always been an ESFP (Extrovert, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving).

With a performing personality, she can exaggerate even the smallest details.

The efficiency of the public medical system abroad is relatively low, especially in relatively underdeveloped rural areas. News that ambulances have to wait for two days due to various accidents often appears.

Wen Siheng and a group of his classmates and friends had some minor accidents when they went camping on the weekend. He had seen Xu Nianhe literally crawling around in the emergency room with a hideous face.

The doctors and nurses mistook her for how serious her injury was, and a group of people rushed over to deal with it. It turned out that it was actually just a small cut lightly made by a knife. After disinfection, it was just fine to put on a bandage, and no stitches were even needed.<

Looking at the woman holding her stomach and sweating in front of him, Wen Siheng's first reaction was doubt.

He didn't believe that she was really in as much pain as she showed.

A trembling hand squeezed Wen Siheng's wrist tightly, and veins popped out. He looked along the arm and saw that the woman's brows were furrowed and her face was pale.

"This time it's true." She said these words with difficulty.

The waiter came in response and squatted on the ground, concerned about Xu Nianhe's condition.

Jian Anran immediately took out the mobile phone in her pocket and pressed 120 with trembling fingers.

"Did you drive here?" the waiter asked, "This is very close to the hospital. If you drive there by yourself, it may be much faster than waiting for the ambulance to leave."

Wen Siheng looked at Jian Anran almost subconsciously, and saw that she put away her phone and nodded towards him.

"It's important to save people." Jian Anran said seriously.

"You go home after dinner," Wen Siheng said to Jian Anran, and then turned to the waiter, "Can you help this lady to the elevator? I'll drive over."

Hearing the sound, another waiter came up and helped Xu Nianhe up, holding her on the left and right. Wen Siheng took the car key and left before them.

When leaving the store, Wen Siheng suddenly remembered something and went back and left his card for her, "There is no password. Remember to send me a message when you get home."

Jian Anran nodded "Yes".

Looking at the noisy group of people gradually disappearing, Jian Anran no longer had the appetite to pick up chopsticks to eat.

Looking carefully at the black and gold bank card on the table, Jian Anran held it and turned it under the light. Different lights shone from every angle, and the English letters of Wen Siheng's name were engraved on it.

She put the bank card solemnly in her bag without the password. If she lost it, she would be in trouble.

Then he waved to the waiter.

"Hello, I'll pay here," she turned on her phone, "I want to pay via WeChat."

When I walked out of the restaurant, there was already a queue outside, and the S mall in the hotel was overcrowded.

Jian squeezed out from the bustling crowd and safely took the escalator down to the first floor.

It was completely dark when we came out. S Mall is located on the riverside. Under the dots of lights and the gentle river breeze blowing in front of us, Jian Anran walked along the pavement of the square to the bus stop on the roadside.

It was the evening rush hour, and the previous bus, which was very crowded, stopped in front of the station. Not many workers who were squeezing the bus got off at S Mall, but many people who had just got off work in Luojiang CBD were squeezed on.
Seeing the previous passenger barely squeeze to the door, Jian Anran finally took a step back and watched the bus door close with difficulty.

When she opened the orange taxi-hailing app, she found that the queue had already reached number 20. She sat at the bus booth and quietly watched the numbers jumping in the queue on the taxi-hailing interface.

......

At the Second Affiliated Hospital of Medical University, a white sports car sped by, and passers-by subconsciously ducked to both sides.

Only a harsh sound of brakes was heard, and the sports car stopped at the door of the emergency room.

A tall man got out of the car, opened the passenger door, and helped a pale-looking woman out of the car.

"We can't stop here! Drive away quickly! The ambulance will be here soon!" The security guard hurriedly stepped forward.

"She is not feeling well. Please take her in first, and I will drive away right now." Wen Siheng said to the security guard.

A nurse from behind heard the sound and pushed the wheelchair forward. After watching Xu Nianhe sit down, Wen Siheng turned around and got into the car and drove away.

The Second Affiliated Hospital of the Medical University is one of the earliest hospitals in Luojiang City. It is located in the urban area and is surrounded by well-developed large-scale buildings. Although the usable area is tight, the Second Hospital has not been able to expand its campus.

Under the dim light, Wen Siheng searched for a while before finding a parking space.

When he returned to the emergency room, Xu Nianhe had already been pushed into the diagnosis and treatment room.

"What's going on? How long has it been like this?" the nurse asked.

"I don't know." Wen Siheng slowly spit out a few words.

"As a target, you don't even know this?" The nurse on the side came over with a cold look.

"We just..." After a pause, Wen Siheng couldn't think of how to accurately describe their relationship.

Classmate? Not exactly.

"Please excuse me, my family members please wait outside." Without giving him a chance to argue, the doctor who came in behind him pushed him away.

After sitting on a bench outside the corridor for a while, another nurse soon came out with a form.

"She is going to have an emergency operation now. Please ask her family to sign."

"I'm not a family member, just a friend." Wen Siheng explained.

"Where are the family members? Are the patient's family members here?" the nurse asked.

"Her family are all abroad."

Hearing this answer, the nurse sighed first and then put the pen into Wen Siheng's hand.

"She is in so much pain that she has lost consciousness. Under special circumstances, friends can also sign for her."

After getting Wen Siheng's signature, the nurse turned around and reminded him to remember to go to the lobby to pay before leaving.

When paying the fee, the staff stared at Wen Siheng with strange eyes.

"Hey, you young people."

"Huh?" Wen Siheng was a little confused and asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's okay, it's okay, respect other people's choices." The staff member said in a strange tone.

When he was pushed out of the consultation room, Xu Nianhe's purple-white lips opened and closed hard, as if he wanted to say something.

The doctor tried his best to put his ear to her lips. After hearing this, his face became a little anxious. While quickly pushing the stretcher, he quickly took out his mobile phone and made a serious call.
