Chapter 147 Choice

A group of people appeared out of nowhere and hit everyone hard.

The other party is formally dressed, not a wilderness gangster, and certainly not someone Augusta arranged to ambush in the woods.

Moreover, the bullets of this group of people attacked indiscriminately, not only attacking Augusta in the middle of the lake, but also shooting at Victor and the cowboys. Even when facing Henry in uniform, they did not hold back at all.

There were so many of them, and the dense bullets hit Victor and others that they had no room to counterattack, so they had to quickly find bunkers to avoid.

Another cowboy fell to the bullet, and his body was exposed on the shoal, and no one dared to touch it.

Not only that, there was also a commotion in the woods. Victor and his packhorses couldn't stop neighing after being frightened.

Father Sang was still there, and Victor was a little worried about his condition, but as soon as he looked over, a bullet knocked off his hat, scaring him so much that he didn't dare to stretch his neck anymore.

At this time, three or five gunmen discovered the horses and caravan in the woods. They drew their guns and approached. Of course, they also saw Father Sang, who was on crutches and could not escape quickly.

"People from the Inspection Bureau! The boss asked us to kill them all!"

Someone yelled and raised his gun to aim at Father Sang's head, but as soon as he fired, the old man tilted his neck slowly, and the bullet passed by his side without hitting him.

He uttered a curse word in surprise, raised his hand and fired two shots. The old man still managed to avoid the bullets that were about to hit his body by gently raising his legs and twisting his waist.

"Shoot him! Why are you standing there?!"

The man became so angry that he asked his companions to draw their guns at the same time and shoot Father Sang together.

But in the next second, the eyes of several people suddenly turned dark, and they were blinded instantly for some unknown reason.

The sudden change made them panic, and the bullets were misdirected, shooting randomly and hitting each other.

Father Sang showed a tired look on his face and did not continue to attack. However, the three gunmen covered the injured parts and rolled down the hillside, making the horses neigh.

After relieving his fatigue, Father Sang looked towards the lakeshore. Victor and the others hid behind the rocks and fought back. However, there were too many people on the other side, and they simply did not have the same level of firepower.

He moved his crutches and prepared to go down to help, but suddenly he discovered that the enemy had sent a group of people from the side to go behind the giant rock, preparing to attack Victor and the others from a double flank.

The old priest's pace was too slow, and he was afraid that he would not be able to catch up, so he had an idea and unloaded the white buttocks that were pulling the caravan.

……

On the shore of the lake, gunshots were fired continuously. Victor and his team's counterattack only managed to kill three or two people on the other side, but there were still more than a dozen gunmen firing in this direction.

Suddenly, they discovered that the enemy was making a detour on the side. The huge rock could no longer completely cover them. Several gunmen on the detour began to shoot at the side. The two cowboys were hit in the vital parts on the spot and died.

Now there are only three people left: Victor, Henry, and Donnie!

Henry raised his gun and killed one, but the other person had already raised his gun and aimed it at him.

He didn't dare to lift his weight, so he ducked to the side. The next second, the bullet hit his thigh, and blood spurted out.

"Uh~~!"

Henry fell to the ground, and then the group of people aimed at Victor.

"Hiss~~!"

At the critical moment, a white shadow rushed into the battlefield, knocking several gunmen on the side away one after another, and stepped on the chest of an unlucky guy. The crisp cracking sound foreshadowed his fate.

Why did the white butt rush over?

The surprise on Victor's expression flashed across his face. He mounted his horse and circled the huge rock and fired three shots at the fallen men on the side, killing all those who could still move.

However, Victor on horseback was also exposed to the firepower of frontal gunmen.

The opponent's firepower poured in. Victor used his horse speed to dodge sideways and look for opportunities to fight back.

However, after all, we were outnumbered, and Victor was forced to the shore of the lake. His horse stepped into the shallows and was about to wade into deep water.

Once the white butt rushes into the lake, its speed advantage will be gone, and it will simply become a living target for gunmen on the shore.

But at this moment, a scene that surprised everyone happened.

The white butt stepped on the lake, as if stepping on a smooth road, it did not sink at all, and its speed did not slow down at all. Instead, it accelerated, rushing towards the center of the lake like floating on water, as if walking on flat ground!

The gunners on the shore were stunned, and Victor was also stunned. He heard the snort of the white horse in his ears, and the flying mane caressed his cheek, which made him come back to his senses. Taking advantage of the enemy's daze, he raised his gun to fight back.

!

As three more gunmen were killed by Victor, the old man in the woods finally came out.

He stretched out his hand forward, and the remaining gunmen were suddenly covered with a layer of darkness, and they collectively howled in agony.

After becoming blind, they subconsciously shot indiscriminately and killed several more people among themselves.

In the end, Donnie and Henry, who were hiding behind the huge rock, opened fire and cooperated with Victor and Father Sang to eliminate all the remaining nearly ten gunmen.

When White Butt ran back to the lake shore, Victor could already squeeze sweat out of his underwear.

Cough cough...cough cough...cough...

Continuous coughs came from the old priest's throat. Victor asked Donnie to look after the two of them, and he rode to the caravan to find cloth towels, bandages, antibiotics, painkillers and other medical supplies.

He handed the cloth to Father Sang, who had just used an invisible technique, and his condition had worsened a lot, and he kept coughing out mouthfuls of blood.

Then, Victor went to bandage Henry again and heated the dagger red to help him remove the bullet that was stuck in his flesh.

As Henry screamed in pain, Victor poured wine on his wound to disinfect it, and immediately bandaged it with gauze.

"Where's Augusta..." Henry was sweating profusely in pain, but he still didn't forget to look for the gangster who fled into the middle of the lake.

Victor looked at the lake. In the deepest part of the water, an unmanned boat was swaying with the ripples in the center, like a drifting fallen leaf.

"They're gone!" Downey stared at his little eyes and his mouth was trembling. He hadn't recovered from the fierce battle just now, "They sank into the water!"

Victor called him over to check the boat left behind by Augusta. The two diving suits inside were still intact, which was very lucky.

Henry leaned against the huge rock, gritted his teeth and asked in pain: "Who is attacking us?"

Victor glanced at the corpses on the ground and spat: "Augusta, Detective Bureau agent, Sheriff Waldin and me, who would want to kill us all?"

As soon as he said these words, Henry quickly understood that the pain did not affect his judgment.

"Thomas..."

"Okay!" Victor pointed to the two sets of diving suits on the boat, "Now we still have a chance to chase Augusta, but unfortunately there are only two sets of diving suits. In our current condition, you and Father Sang can't go into the water.

It's just me and Donnie, but..."

As he spoke, Victor patted Donnie heavily on the shoulder.

"I hope Donnie will stay and take care of you, so I will go down alone..."

"Ahem...I'll go down with you."

Father Sang threw away the blood-stained cloth and looked at Victor.

His words surprised Victor. He couldn't even walk now, so he still wanted to accompany Victor into the bottom of an unknown depth of the lake?

"Father, I think you are still..."

"You are still too young... your understanding of invisible art is too shallow... ahem... I have to go down, and I should go down even more. This is my duty. As a member of the Anti-Suppression Department, I must solve the Austrian...

Gusta and...ahem...and the evil witchcraft of the indigenous people."

Victor looked at the old man's weak body and still didn't want to agree, but he had to say that what he said was indeed correct.

Victor's knowledge of invisible arts is still too shallow, but Father Sang taught him a lot.

But these are still not enough. If Valentine's ancestors had set up a trap when hiding the relics, and if he went down alone, he would probably be infected by invisible magic, and he would not know how he died.

It's not even possible to call Downey. He is simply unreliable. He doesn't help Victor at all in terms of invisible skills, but is a drag.

Now that Henry has been shot in the leg, only Father Sang is the suitable candidate, even if he is terminally ill and on the verge of collapse...

After struggling for a long time, Victor's eyes gradually became firm. He went over to help Father Fusang, and the two of them walked towards the boat together.
