Chapter 149 is about to face the end

The sun was shining brightly over Rose Lake. Victor took White Butt over and tied the boat around its neck with a rope.

After that, he helped Father Fuso get into the boat and dragged the boat into the lake on his white buttocks.

The limbs of the white butt stepped on the water without sinking. It walked very lightly, making ripples in circles.

When Arthur handed the white butt to Victor, he did not tell him that the horse had such magical abilities.

It can walk on water, and strolling around is like walking on flat ground, as if it is integrated with nature.

The waterfowl on the lake curiously landed on the horse's head, with its white butt feeling no discomfort and still fulfilling its duty of towing the boat.

On the shore, Donnie guarded Henry, blocking the hot sunlight with his hands and looking towards the center of the lake.

He stood there, out of tune with the world, like an alien forced in.

Father Sang had already put on the diving suit and then studied the huge hood.

The diving equipment of this era was very backward and heavy, making you look as bulky as an astronaut when you put it on.

Victor also jumped from horseback to the boat and quickly changed his clothes.

After fixing the oxygen bottle, he lowered his head and stared at the dark bottom of the lake, unable to see anything.

Father Sang patted him on the shoulder, indicating that he could go into the water.

Victor jumped in, but instead of diving directly, he clung to the edge of the boat and waited for Father Sang.

He held the old man tightly, fearing that he would be separated from him when he dived.

With a pop, the two of them disappeared on the lake instantly.

The sun is shining brightly outside and the climate is hot and dry, but the water at the bottom of the lake is extremely cold.

Victor didn't have any lighting, so he could only cover his face and dive violently in the darkness.

Father Sang was held motionless by Victor without any feedback, making Victor think he was dead...

But he couldn't care too much underwater. He finally dived deep enough that his feet could touch the ground. He estimated that the water depth was only about ten meters.

Although there was no lighting, Victor still found the location of the target, because there was a faint light and thick "smoke" coming out, as if someone had built several black chimneys at the bottom of the lake.

He couldn't believe it, but he immediately realized that the several holes spouting black smoke in front of him should be small volcanoes at the bottom of the lake.

Where it is, there is a gray fog...

Victor finally understood what the last sentence meant.

As he continued to swim in that direction, Victor noticed that Father Sang moved tremblingly, which indicated that the other party was still alive.

Walking two steps further, Victor saw a tunnel that went deep into the ground. The stone bricks at the mouth had obvious traces of artificial carvings and were not naturally formed.

It must be here!

Victor carefully avoided the gushing heat, and the two of them swam into the entrance of the tunnel one after another. As they continued inside, they discovered that the tunnel was gradually going upwards, and the lake was getting shallower and shallower.

Finally, the two emerged from a pool and entered a mysterious cave.

"Huh!" Victor climbed onto the wet rocky shore and pulled Father Sang up.

He took off his diving suit and jacket, then poured the wine he carried on top and lit the clothing lighting.

"Cough cough...cough cough cough...cough cough..." This journey into deep water made the old man feel extremely uncomfortable. After he took off his helmet, he lay on the ground and coughed non-stop.

Victor carefully observed the surrounding environment by the light of the fire. Except for the unknown darkness of the cave ahead, he found Augusta and his only remaining diving equipment.

Two sets of heavy diving suits were thrown by the pool, just like the ones Victor took off.

When he saw these two wetsuits, Victor subconsciously kicked away the burning fabric to avoid exposing his position.

"Father Sang, can you still move?" He stared at the unknown front and asked the old man.

The old man was still coughing, but he raised his fingers and pointed at the walls on both sides.

"Valentine...ahem...the indigenous language of Valentine."

Victor looked over and saw the white words written on the cave wall, and immediately confirmed that he was in the right place.

"Be careful...cough...cough..."

As he spoke, Father Sang raised his right hand tremblingly, and a tiny ball of light magically appeared from his palm, floated into the air, and slowly moved dozens of meters forward.

Until the limit, the light ball weakened and disappeared, and Victor could almost see everything clearly in this distance.

"No...no traces of traps...ahem...and no Augusta..."

Father Sang held onto Victor's shoulders and was a little unsteady.

Victor nodded, took out his gun, and walked forward cautiously.

There are dripping stalactites on the head, and there are some weird creatures hanging upside down, staring at the two people passing by, they feel like some kind of bats.

Victor took the time to make another prediction, but the result was still lingering and the future was uncertain.

They passed through a place that was sometimes narrow and sometimes spacious, feeling deeply that it was so deep inside.

Augusta saw no one alive, no dead body, and still didn’t meet them.

Victor quickened his pace, making sure to catch up with the opponent, and then they came to a magical space.

There is light there, but the luminous objects are various crystals on the walls deep in the cave.

A pedestal composed of crystals fell in the center of the cave. There was nothing above it. There should have been something placed there earlier.

Victor stepped forward and touched the crystal carefully without feeling any discomfort.

But at this moment, Father Sang suddenly said quickly and quietly: "Get down!"

Victor reacted suddenly and leaned over quickly.

A few seconds later, a bullet hit the crystal pedestal, causing crystal fragments to fly around.

Victor used the pedestal as a cover to look for the two figures in Augusta, but Father Sang was exposed at the entrance. His hands and feet were inconvenient and he had no time to escape.

The next moment, the old man slowly moved two steps to the side, and a few seconds later the bullet hit exactly where he was standing.

As if Father Sang could predict it, he took evasive action in advance.

"The seer of the lamp's nature!"

There was a voice hiding in the dark, shouting in annoyance.

Victor heard it, that was Augusta...

"Boss! What is the nature of the lamp?"

Augusta's younger brother was the one who shot Father Sang. He didn't understand why he missed.

"Warning person! The light is transmitted secretly, and you can predict the direction of danger a few seconds in advance!"

The conversation between the two members of the Conor Gang was not loud, but due to the closed environment in the cave, their voices were amplified so much that even Victor heard them.

While the enemy was talking, Father Sang also found a bunker, squatted down and started coughing.

Victor reached out his hand and fired in the direction where Augusta was speaking. With a few bangs, he knocked off several crystals but missed the opponent.

They also hid behind bunkers to avoid Victor's bullets.

"Victor Damon!" Augusta shouted loudly, "I didn't expect that the person chasing to the bottom of the lake would be you!"

"I didn't expect it either!" Victor responded to the other party without showing any signs of weakness, "You could solve the formula that even the Valentines couldn't solve so easily."
