Chapter 49 Not dead?

Seeing that everyone was clinking their glasses with disrespect, Thomas was a little embarrassed. This gave Pierce an opportunity to show his courtesy. He quickly forgot about the innocent dead who had been framed by him and raised his glass to pay tribute to Thomas.

"Thank you Mr. Thomas for your hospitality. The dinner was very sumptuous..."

Thomas glanced at Pierce with admiration, then asked several people from the Inspection Bureau: "Chief Inspector Josh, isn't dinner to your liking?"

After Josh heard this, he reluctantly raised his glass, but before him, Whedon had already raised his glass very high.

Henry and Victor were the only ones who hadn't raised their glasses yet. Henry really couldn't drink it, but Victor's attention was already attracted by Kino, who was begging him for mercy.

Few crooks can still breathe, and Kino is one of them. He is now constantly begging Victor to save his life in a low voice.

Victor originally wanted to ignore him, but suddenly, he found that Chino was in a strange state.

The opponent's skin was wrinkled, like a snake about to shed its skin, and his entire eyes were covered with bloodshot eyes. His teeth were clenched tightly, and his words of begging for mercy seemed to be squeezed out with all his strength.

"Victor... Mr. Victor... please beg Mr. Thomas... let me go..."

Victor didn't know if it was because he was dazzled, but he felt that Kino's ears were lengthening, and the hair behind the ears was getting thicker.

"Is this guy begging for mercy from you? Mr. Victor?" Thomas noticed the other person.

Victor came back to his senses and looked at Thomas in surprise.

"I'll give you a piece of advice, don't be deceived by the superficial pitiful guy, he may be a real poisonous snake!" Thomas smiled slightly, and then glanced at his subordinate.

Suddenly, the remaining thugs fired a row of guns, beating all the living crooks to death at the door of the VIP room.

Of course, Chino is among them.

"Wait..." Before Victor could say anything, Kino was already dead.

For some reason, he felt that the Kino in front of him looked more and more familiar.

"Okay everyone, it's finally clear. Let's start eating!" Thomas waved his hands with satisfaction, and the group of thugs carried out the dead bodies one by one.

Victor stared at Kino, who was still staring at him, then suddenly held his stomach and retched in one direction.

"What's wrong with you?!" Henry stared at Victor strangely.

Thomas laughed loudly: "The first time you experience an overly bloody scene, it will inevitably be uncomfortable for young people. It doesn't matter. If you really want to inherit the Damon family's industry, you will always experience this."

"I'm sorry, everyone...excuse me..." Victor stood up and wanted to leave the room on the grounds of physical discomfort, but Thomas allowed it.

"Okay! You can go to the deck to take a breather, or ask Inspector Henry to accompany you to avoid falling into the lake."

The next moment, Victor left the VIP room accompanied by Henry.

Henry followed Victor all the way and was surprised by his behavior just now.

Logically speaking, the bloodiness of this scene is far inferior to that of the dense foggy forest before. Why can't Victor just stand it?

Sure enough, after Victor came out, he did not go to the deck to vomit. Instead, he asked Henry to follow him and sneakily found the place where the thugs dumped their bodies.

They saw that the dozens of crooks who had been shot just now were thrown into the rolling lake one by one by Thomas' men, causing countless waves.

"What are you doing?" Henry asked in surprise as he followed Victor.

Victor stared at the gradually dwindling pile of corpses, and watched helplessly as Kino was thrown into the lake.

A few minutes later, all the bodies were thrown away, and Thomas's men dispersed one by one.

"What do you want to do?" Henry asked again, and Victor suddenly raised his finger to silence him, and then pointed to the lake where the body had just been dumped.

Under the glare of the cruise ship's search lights, you can vaguely see corpses floating on the water, which is very scary.

Henry was feeling strange, but the next second, he suddenly discovered that something was moving among the pile of floating corpses!

No...

It's not that something is moving, but that one of the corpses just thrown down is still alive!

He struggled hard, using his hands and feet like a dog paddle, and swam quickly towards the port!

"Not dead?!" Henry was shocked, and Victor immediately dragged him away from the corridor.

At the last glance, Henry suddenly felt that the movements of the thing swimming wildly in the lake were completely unlike what humans could do. It was very fast and powerful, more like a beast!

"What's going on?!" Henry asked Victor hurriedly, but the latter just shook his head.

"I don't know, but I'm afraid there will be more than this tonight. I always have a feeling that something else will happen on this ship." As he said that, he took out the note that Jennifer had handed him before.<

/p>

"The lady asked me to go to her room, do you think I should go or not?"

Hearing this, Henry was also stunned. He didn't notice Jennifer's little gesture of passing the note.

"Isn't Mrs. Jennifer Thomas's mistress? She..."

"Maybe my performance at the card table is too good, or maybe I'm too handsome?" Victor said shamelessly, and then glanced at Henry, "Actually, you are quite handsome. If you see through that con man,

It's you, maybe the note will be handed to you."

Henry's face turned red and he shook his head: "It's strange. Logically speaking, I also wrote down the order of all the cards. If the guy changed the cards, I should be able to find it."

"He is very cunning. He does not win every game, and he changes more than one card. If you are deceived by him once, you will doubt your own judgment, thus causing memory confusion. The other party is also a master of card memory, and deliberately

Disrupt your thinking and make you doubt yourself."

Victor explained Kino's method, and then put the note into Henry's hand: "How about you deal with Ms. Jennifer for me?"

Henry was a little flustered by the sudden move: "Wait, what do you mean?"

"Listen, help me. Go see Mrs. Jennifer and tell her that I'm not feeling well or that I can't leave because I drank and vomited." Victor continued to lie.

Henry was still unhappy: "If you don't want to be involved with that lady, just say it yourself. Why do you need me to do it?"

"I'm afraid I won't be able to leave when I reach the door of her room. Thank you... don't forget that you just lost me a lot of money." Victor began to find an explanation.

Henry was a little anxious: "Didn't you say it was written off?"

"I'll write it off after you help me this time. Keep your word!" After saying that, Victor ran away.

"Wait a minute! Why are you so sure that I can leave as soon as I reach the door of her room?" Victor could no longer hear Henry's last shout.

……

Two minutes later, Victor returned to the VIP room, pretended to be exhausted after vomiting, and returned to the dining table.

"Sorry, I just lost my temper..." Victor greeted Chief Inspector Thomas and Josh.

"Where's Henry?" the chief inspector asked with concern.

Victor laughed: "He was vomited all over me, and now he is looking for a place to change clothes..."

After receiving this answer, Thomas and Josh did not suspect anything and continued to chat about the arrest of the Conor Gang.

In fact, the reason why Victor did not go to see Jennifer was because he had just calculated that he would be unlucky in the past, so he asked Henry to push the matter aside for him.

In his opinion, this bad luck was probably related to Thomas. He didn't want to get entangled with that woman and end up being caught and raped in bed by this murderous tycoon.

But everything that happened next made Victor realize that he had guessed wrong...
