Chapter 51 Burning

Kaleidoscope, a world of purple drunkenness and gold.

The sailing cruise ship carries bright lights, like twinkling gems in the night sky.

During dinner time, the casino is even more lively. Waiters push food carts along the card table aisles, and gamblers, when they have free time, will reach out to pick up a sandwich or something else, biting and placing bets at the same time.<

In the VIP room, Victor sat back in his seat and remained silent.

Suddenly someone came in and whispered something to Thomas. He frowned and glanced at Victor.

"It's okay, you can go down!" After sending the man away, Thomas continued to clink glasses with Weeden without saying anything to Victor.

Speaking of Whedon, he is now playing the role of blocking the drink for Josh, and he can also get close to Thomas.

He and Pierce, one on the left and one on the right, kept flattering Thomas.

Victor didn't care about the little thoughts of these two people at all. What he cared about now was when Henry would come back and how things were going.

……

In the corridor outside the guest room of the gambling ship, Henry was alone, nervously leaning towards the house number written on the note, trying his best to avoid the waiters and ship staff who might appear.

"Damn, why would I listen to that idiot and come to do such a thing?"

Along the way, he kept asking himself, never figuring out when he was being controlled by that guy Victor.

In tonight's gambling game, Victor stole the show, which seemed to reverse the relationship between them, making it seem like he was dominating Henry.

But it is indeed quite strange. Whichever table the other party sits at, there must be thousands of gamblers at that table. Victor seems to have expected it, and it is strange that he is like a rumored seer.

However, the other party was not a seer, Henry was sure of it, because he could not have obtained the secret message without telling him.

"Room 404... strange, why is there room 404 on the third floor?"

Henry moved lightly to the room with the house number 404. Just as he was about to raise his hand to knock on the door, he was suddenly startled by waves of moans.

The sound came from the room. Henry noticed something and his expression was quite embarrassing.

What is going on?

Countless speculations appeared in his mind.

"That Mrs. Jennifer, is she doing that kind of thing in there?"

"Didn't she have an appointment with Victor? But Victor has already returned to the VIP room. Could it be that... there are other men in there?"

Henry took a breath of cold air, his face was quite ugly, and he was already thinking about what kind of unsightly scenes would happen if Victor really accepted her invitation.

"This is crazy!"

Henry began to retreat. He took two steps back, but accidentally bumped into something, which startled him.

Suddenly!

A heavy object hit him on the head so hard that Henry's eyes flashed with stars. He fainted without even seeing clearly who had attacked him.

……

In the VIP private room, Victor only drank some wine and didn't eat anything. He still had no appetite, but Chief Inspector Josh stood up suddenly and said he wanted to go out for some fresh air.

An unknown Intelligence Bureau investigator appeared at the door of the private room. He was one of the agents who followed him on the boat at the beginning, but then Josh went to see Thomas, and most of them were left in the casino.

Play cards here.

The other party exchanged a few words with Josh, and Josh came back, but when he came back, he chose to sit next to Victor instead of sitting next to Thomas.

"Mr. Victor, congratulations on winning the appreciation of Mr. Thomas. I believe you have the ability to win this inheritance battle."

Josh didn't eat anything either. He was being held down by Thomas tonight, so he could finally relax a bit while Whedon was pestering him.

"It seems that the work of your Inspection Bureau is not easy to do!" Victor replied casually.

Josh shook his head, his face full of helplessness.

"By the way, when we arrived in Dandelion, we met Father Sang first. Why didn't he come with you?" Victor was curious.

Josh lit a cigarette for himself: "I have sent someone to notify him, but he did not show up at the dock... People from the Anti-Suppression Department cannot command them with my authority..."

……

At this time, in the largest hotel in Dandelion, in a fragrant guest room upstairs, the bald old priest with a flushed face after drinking was gradually waking up from his soft bed.

He opened his eyes and vaguely saw two women already dressed, sitting in front of the dressing table and putting on makeup.

"Four francs, Mr. Father, we have been waiting for you to wake up for a long time. You need to add some money..."

The old priest had a dry mouth, so he hesitated and asked the two prostitutes to go downstairs to ask Victor for money.

"Okay, look at what time it is now. Those two young men have left here long ago. I don't know where they went. You have to pay the money yourself." One of the prostitutes frowned and looked at the big words "Lie"

of him.

When Father Sang heard this, he rubbed his eyes and sat up, coughing and looking for water to drink.

"Mr. Father, you have to go to the bar downstairs to drink water. Can you pay us two poor ladies first?"

Another prostitute had just put on her coat and stared at her with her hands on her hips.

"Cough cough... cough cough..." Father Sang coughed several times, "You... you... don't embarrass an old man who is sick, please wait a moment..."

Father Sang said, slowly looking for money in his pants, cursing in a low voice while searching: "Damn Victor, you left me behind again, and Henry, that little fool, I..."

"Father San!"

Someone suddenly called Father Sang's name at the door. Two prostitutes opened the door in confusion, only to see a young agent from the Inspection Bureau standing outside the door.

"Father Sang... what are you..." The other party stared blankly at the two prostitutes who had just put on their clothes, and then saw the shirtless old priest on the bed.

"I...I have been waiting for you to come down, but you..."

When Father Sang saw the person, he immediately rushed towards him as if grasping a life-saving straw.

"Ahem... you came just in time! Hurry! Get me 5 French cards for emergency!"

……

"Anti-Suppression Department..." Victor has always been curious about this department in the Inspection Bureau. After all, they are elites who specialize in dealing with seers.

"It's better to call it the Anti-Suppression Bureau than the Anti-Suppression Department." Josh explained with a helpless expression, "They are as if they are independent of the Police Bureau and do not listen to orders from anyone except the director. You

You may have heard that our Inspection Bureau is an intelligence department that specializes in handling domestic and foreign terrorist activities and invisible art cases, but in fact, ordinary departments deal with terrorist activities, and only the Anti-Suppression Department can deal with the abuse of invisible art.

"For the members of the Anti-Suppression Department, the job of the Inspection Bureau is just a part-time job. They all have their own hidden identities and careers."

"Father Sang is the seer who has the most contact with us, because his main job is to be a priest in the Realm of Bright Light. But other members of the Anti-Suppression Department are very mysterious. They usually only have code names and numbers, and they don't even have their real names.

It will be revealed that only when the director gives the order and we cooperate with each other, there will be very little contact."

After getting this information, Victor finally understood why Adolf was afraid of the Police Bureau.

I don’t know what level of secret transmission Father Sang has studied and what his strength is.

"I have a batch of fine cigars produced in Demuch State here. It's hard for you to smoke them in Missouri. Do you want to try them?" Thomas was a little drunk, and he shouted to his subordinates to get one.

The big box came over and one was given to each person one by one.

"Try them all, for the sake of Cornwall Energy..."

Now that Thomas has spoken like this, Victor is too embarrassed to shirk, and Josh next to him has already picked up one.

When Thomas' men held the box and handed it to Victor, Victor naturally reached out to take it, but his hand was empty. What followed was an inexplicable burning heat that hit his face...

Victor jerked his hand back and backed away sharply.

Then, everyone on the table jumped away like dogs with fried hair.

They watched helplessly as the man who handed the cigar burned strangely in the VIP room in front of everyone, blooming with scorching heat, like Shiranui rising from the flames of hell!
