Chapter 534 The End of the Wasteland

As night falls, the wasteland becomes pitch black, and people in the ruins light anything that can be ignited for lighting and warmth.

The items in Senator Watson's home were moved out one by one, and no one cared about his feelings. All the joy at the beginning turned into a selfish existence in such a harsh environment.

The injured and partially disabled people were carried to the open space for simple rescue.

However, due to limited conditions, most people do not survive more than an hour.

At first, these returning people were extremely panicked. They rushed into the ruins and kept looking for bunkers, thinking that the monsters hiding in the night would chase them in.

Such an unexpected situation made Victor and the others instantly vigilant.

However, because of the dinner, they did not carry weapons from the beginning. Only Victor hid a few emergency spells.

However, after spending a long and tense time, they did not see anything rushing into the manor.

The anxious people stared outside the door and found some dark shadows lingering outside the ruins.

I couldn't see clearly what it was, but some shadows that looked like sheep's horns were swaying back and forth.

They did not enter the manor to kill, they just hid in the dark and waited quietly.

People finally walked out of the bunker after finding that they couldn't break in.

And those who tried their best to escape began to tell everyone in fear what had just happened.

"Here...there are monsters here...They look like humans, but as long as you get close to them, they will tear you apart!"

A man with his face covered in blood told everyone in horror.

"A monster that looks like a human?"

Victor carefully moved to the broken iron gate and looked carefully at the end illuminated by the fire.

Those tall and thin shadows loomed in the darkness. They were very close to the ruins of the manor, but they did not break in.

"Are you afraid of fire?" Victor glanced at the lit fire next to him, which was filled with curtains, tables, chairs and other items dug out from the ruins. "No, no, we didn't light a fire at the beginning..."

He held his chin and continued to observe carefully.

"Could it be...that the manor doesn't belong to this world?" Li Anlong stood behind him, "It's like a certain rule that makes this place a barrier to isolate them?"

Victor was not sure about this, but an idea came to his mind.

At first, the first group of guests were able to walk far away from the manor without encountering any accidents until they disappeared from their sight.

As soon as the sun went down, someone screamed and ran back.

"Is it possible that those things outside can't come out during the day? They can only come and go at night..."

Now, the remaining guests in the manor are only half of those who attended the banquet, which means that there will be many people spending the night in the wilderness tonight.

Now there are dangers outside, and they may all be dead...

"Miriya... what tricks did that woman use..." Victor frowned, "If it is to trap us, then this prison is too outrageous."

As soon as he finished speaking, several distant screams were heard under the empty night. It was very likely that something had happened to the guests who had not returned.

Who could have expected that when I came to attend the senator's dinner with joy, I ended up falling into the abyss of fear and death.

Victor stared at his hand, making fortune-telling fortunes, and found that the characters kept moving, and the calculation was not accurate at all. The signs of disorder were particularly familiar.

"Can you tell fortunes?" He put down his hand and asked Li Anlong beside him.

The latter took out the divination staff and as soon as he used the invisible technique, the divination staff started to burn. He was so shocked that Li Anlong quickly extinguished the flames.

But even so, the divining staff suffered great damage.

"Hey, we almost couldn't use it. There is a mysterious force interfering with us. It's not just as simple as banning divination..."

Li Anlong looked up, still looking at the temple-like building.

"Speaking of which, even at night, you can still see it very clearly, as if all the moonlight is gathered there."

Victor looked over, and it was indeed true. It was pitch black under the mountain, and only the top of the mountain was still bathed in moonlight, just as it was bathed in sunlight during the day.

"I think that was deliberately guiding us there." Rianlong speculated.

Very clear guidance, Victor agrees with his point of view.

But it was very late now, and he didn't want to take the risk of traveling all night. After all, he didn't know what those monsters hiding in the night were.

As for why they didn't break into the ruins of the manor and start killing people, Victor had no clue.

In order to spend the night peacefully, he took almost no rest, and the frightened shouts and cries in the manor made it difficult for people to sleep.

Only one person slept very soundly, and that was Hodney Skimp.

He seemed not to realize the danger at all, snoring loudly.

A few hours later, the dawn finally appeared from the horizon, but it was quickly obscured by thick clouds, and the world was still very dark.

As expected, those strange black shadows did not rush into the manor. They just wandered around the periphery all night. When daylight came, they actually disappeared without a trace. Victor did not even see their true appearance.

The horror last night made the remaining people afraid to step out of the manor, but at this time, Victor and the other three were ready to set off.

"Do you know where to go?" someone asked Victor, but the latter had not yet spoken. Senator Watson, who had been depressed all night, suddenly stood on the high ground of the ruined walls, swept away the decadent look of yesterday, and began to use his

Politicians’ gift of oratory.

"Don't panic, everyone! Listen to me!"

His voice attracted everyone's attention.

"I have thought about one thing clearly. No matter where we are now, with your status and status, I believe that it will soon attract the attention of the Serbian government."

"This is not a trivial matter! The Inspection Bureau, the Northern Holy See, and even the five major churches may try to rescue us.

"Don't leave at will, or even try to find a way out. You all have also seen those monsters wandering around. We don't even know what they are."

"So, staying where you are and waiting is the way to survive. Being blind will only lead to death..."

In this regard, the three Victors hold opposite views.

Daytime is precious and it’s a good time to explore outside, but at night, those mysterious ghosts will still appear. Who can guarantee that they won’t break in tonight?

Can a shelter built by mortals in a day really be able to withstand them?

It can only be said that Watson has committed an occupational disease and is eager to act as a leader of people under any circumstances to control and incite thoughts.

The three of them did not stay to listen to each other's speech. They left the manor directly according to yesterday's plan, stepped into the wilderness, and walked towards the temple in the distance.

When they walked a long distance and the ruins behind them were no longer visible, Victor discovered that the land in front of him was much more rugged than he had imagined. There was basically no direct road to the mountain. After walking through the wasteland, it was full of mountains.

The thorns of the earth and the intricate cliffs.

"There is no way at all... Are you sure you can find a way to leave this world at the location of that temple?" As an ordinary record officer, Hodney was surprisingly calm.

Li Anlong smiled and shook his head. All this was his speculation, how could he be sure?

At this time, Victor found a torn tuxedo on the ground, which should have been left by a dinner guest.

Looking in that direction, there was a figure squatting on the edge in front, with his upper body exposed, his back to Victor and the three of them, his shoulders shaking, as if he was covering his face and crying.

Thinking of the coat on the ground, Victor thought it was a banquet guest who spent the night outside last night.

"Someone actually survived?"

His expression suddenly changed, and after winking at the two people around him, he leaned forward.
