Chapter 2 Confucianism

After running back to Chaoge in a panic, Wang Liangyu rested for a day before gradually recovering.

Thinking of what happened to Yunmeng Mountain, Wang Liangyu realized that he could no longer be as reckless as before. Not everyone was Ji Ran, Sun Wu, and not everyone would look at him differently. If he met a bad-tempered boss like Gui Guzi,

, I am afraid that I will die without a burial place.

After learning from the pain, Wang Liangyu decided to be cautious in his words and deeds in the future.

After recovering from his injuries, Wang Liangyu left Chaoge and headed to Diqiu, the new capital of the Wei Kingdom.

Diqiu is located to the east of Chaoge, and the city can only be reached in one day on horseback.

Set off at sunrise and arrive at dusk.

Compared with the declining Chaoge, Diqiu, as the new capital of the Wei Kingdom, is located on the thoroughfare of the Central Plains, with developed commerce and numerous tourists.

Wang Liangyu took the horse and asked a few people, then found the residence of Confucius, a rather luxurious building.

"Wang Liangyu, who entered the school at the end of his career, asked to see Confucius!" Wang Liangyu straightened his clothes, walked outside the building, and knelt loudly, respectfully.

After a moment, the door opened, and a middle-aged man with a round face and white hair walked out slowly. His face was calm and unhurried. He observed Wang Liangyu solemnly for a moment, nodded and said, "Master, please come!"

"Wang Liangyu, may I ask you your name?" Wang Liangyu responded and asked in a low voice as he walked behind the middle-aged man into the building.

The middle-aged man with a round face walked slowly and slowly. When he heard Wang Liangyu's question, he kept walking and calmly replied: "Yan Hui."

Wang Liangyu was stunned when he heard this. He stared blankly at the middle-aged man in front of him, thinking: "Is this Yan Hui? Confucius's most proud disciple, Fusheng Yanzi?"

To be honest, Yan Hui does not look like a saint. He is neither handsome nor majestic. He just has an ordinary appearance, the kind that would be unrecognizable in a crowd of people. However, with such an appearance,

He seems to be an ordinary person, but he was highly praised by Confucius and respected by literati of all ages. After his death, he was worthy of Confucius and was worshiped in Tailao and accompanied by sacrifices in the Confucius Temple!

Out of respect, Wang Liangyu saluted Yan Hui solemnly.

Yan Hui didn't understand what he meant and returned the greeting respectfully.

Then, I walked further in for a while and came to a hall.

Wang Liangyu saw a tall man from a distance. Although his face was old, he was full of energy and high ambition. He was sitting cross-legged on a bamboo mat under an apricot tree. He was holding a bamboo slip in his hand and seemed to be talking about something.

There were more than ten people sitting around, and everyone seemed to be listening attentively.

"This is Confucius!" The moment he saw the man, Wang Liangyu realized that the man in front of him was Confucius, the sage of Confucianism and a teacher for all generations!

At this moment, Wang Liangyu was a little excited and almost shouted.

Yan Hui stopped him in time, signaled Wang Liangyu to be silent, and pulled Wang Liangyu to sit on a bamboo mat on the left side. In an instant, he was immersed in Confucius's lectures and forgot about Wang Liangyu.

Wang Liangyu was a little restless. It took him a while to calm down his turbulent emotions. Unknowingly, he was immersed in Confucius's voice and couldn't extricate himself.

I don't know how long it took, but Wang Liangyu suddenly woke up. Only when he came back to his senses did he realize that the lecture had ended long ago.

Turning his head and looking around, Wang Liangyu stood up, bowed respectfully to Confucius, and said hello: "Junior Wang Liangyu, I have met Confucius!" After saying that, he thought for a while and continued, "I am committed to martial arts.

I pay my respects to you today, Master, and hope to have the pleasure of seeing Confucian methods. It is a great honor for me!"

Not daring to act too arrogantly, Wang Liangyu kept his position very low for fear of offending the Confucian people.

"Good!" Confucius looked at Wang Liangyu with a smile and said, "I have heard about your reputation and laid the foundation for martial arts in the world. This will greatly benefit the world and the human race. I should do my best."

Wang Liangyu was overjoyed when he heard this. He couldn't help but feel very lucky for his original ambition. It was because of these words that he was favored by Ji Ran and Sun Wu. Now he is valued by Confucius, and he may benefit from this in the future.

Woolen cloth!

After that, Wang Liangyu stayed in this Confucius residence and listened to Confucius' lectures every day.

However, what made Wang Liangyu a little confused was that what Confucius taught every day was not Confucian practice, but Confucian classics, such as "Poetry", "Book", "Yi", "Li", "Music", "Spring and Autumn" and so on.

This happened every day for half a month.

Wang Liangyu didn't know the answer, and it was difficult to ask directly about the secrets of Confucian practice.

On this day, the lecture ended and everyone dispersed. Wang Liangyu couldn't help but pulled Yan Hui and asked: "Hui, do you Confucians practice like this every day?"

Yan Hui nodded, his eyes pure and clear.

"Where is the secret method of Confucian practice? What is the secret of Confucian Qi cultivation?" Looking at Yan Hui's honest look, Wang Liangyu was a little depressed, hesitated for a while, and asked directly, "Studying these classics every day has not made any progress in practice.

What’s the use of learning?”

Seeing Wang Liangyu looking a little angry, Yan Hui smiled faintly, reached out and took out a bamboo slip, handed it to Wang Liangyu's hand, and said slowly: "Confucianism nourishes Qi in this bamboo slip!"

Wang Liangyu subconsciously took it and took a look, but it was a volume of "Yi".

Confucius studied the Six Classics comprehensively, but his disciples each dabbled in it. Yan Hui was quite accomplished in the "Yi". In recent years, he even worked with Confucius to compile and organize the "Yi".

Wang Liangyu was thinking in his mind, stretched out his hand to open the bamboo slips and took a look, and a sentence came into view:

"One yin and one yang are called Tao. What follows is good, and what is achieved is nature. A benevolent person sees it and calls it benevolence. A knowledgeable person sees it and calls it knowledge. People use it every day but don't know it. Therefore, the way of a gentleman is rare. Show it to everyone.

Benevolence hides all uses, encourages all things without sharing the same worries as the saints, and achieves great virtues and great deeds!"

Wang Liangyu frowned tightly and began to think silently. After a while, he vaguely understood and said, "In Confucianism, nourishing Qi means studying the classics?"

The long paragraph above can actually be summed up in two sentences.

First, benevolence sees benevolence, and wise people see wisdom.

Secondly, it is the Tao that people use every day.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! If these two sentences are extended to the Confucian way of cultivation, you can get a glimpse of the secret of Confucian Qi cultivation.

The three treasures of human beings are energy and spirit.

No matter which practice method it is, it will never change without its origin, but it cannot be separated from the Three Treasures of Essence, Qi and Shen.

Military strategists gather qi, Taoists refine qi, and Confucians cultivate qi.

Although the names of the three schools are different, in the final analysis, they are all cultivating the Three Treasures of Essence, Qi and Shen, but the specific methods and approaches are different.

After hearing Wang Liangyu's words, Yan Hui nodded, shook his head, and said slowly but firmly: "The Master's way is so great that no one in the world can tolerate it!" After a pause, he smiled honestly, and continued, "It doesn't matter if it's reading,

Whether you are playing the piano, doing business, or serving as an official, as long as you adhere to the Confucian way of cultivating one's body and nourishing one's nature, that is cultivation and nourishing the spirit."

Wang Liangyu paused after hearing this. After a while, he couldn't help but reveal a wry smile, shook his head and said, "Your Excellency is too high, I can't do it!"

Yan Hui said it lightly, but Confucian cultivation of qi and cultivation is by no means as simple as what he said. Otherwise, if Confucianism had already dominated the Spring and Autumn Period, how could it still accommodate hundreds of schools of thought?

However, from Yan Hui’s words, it can be seen that compared with military strategists and Taoist cultivation methods, Confucian cultivation is indeed casual and does not have so many rules and regulations. However, under the seemingly unstructured cultivation requirements, it has extremely high requirements for talents.

requirements.

If you can't cultivate one's moral character according to Confucianism, it's impossible to cultivate one's Qi. Even if you turn over the Six Classics, you won't gain anything.

But, how to cultivate one’s moral character?

Wang Liangyu did not get a clear answer from Yan Hui. Yan Hui just smiled and asked Wang Liangyu to study.

Unable to find an answer, Wang Liangyu had no choice but to endure and live in the library. He spent all day listening to Confucius' lectures with Yan Hui and other Confucian disciples, and carefully studied and studied the Six Classics in his spare time.

In the blink of an eye, three months have passed.

On this day, someone came to the library.

After Yan Hui introduced him, Wang Liangyu learned that the person who came was Duanmu Ci, whose name was Zigong.

This man was the originator of Confucian businessmen in later generations, and now he was a very wealthy man among Confucian disciples, with a family rich in wealth.

Zigong was away from home all year round and did not accompany Confucius, but his respect for Confucius was obvious to all.

No, once Zigong came, the food in the hotel was improved by several levels, and there was a lot more meat in the food.

Zigong was about the same age as Yan Hui, but compared to Yan Hui, who had gray hair and was aging prematurely, Zigong looked tall, tall, handsome and unrestrained.

Wang Liangyu and Zigong hit it off immediately, and soon became close friends and became good brothers.

Unfortunately, Zigong had many things to do, so he stayed in the residence for two days and then left again.

After bidding farewell to Zigong, Wang Liangyu couldn't help but be curious, looked at Yan Hui, and asked: "Zigong has not been with the Master all year round, and he has been here for two days and has never seen him studying the Six Classics. How did he cultivate his Qi and practice?

"

"Liang Yu, you still remember what I said, no matter whether you are studying, playing the piano, doing business, or serving as an official, as long as you adhere to the Confucian way of cultivating one's body and nourishing one's nature, that is cultivation and nourishing one's Qi." Yan Hui looked back at Wang Liangyu with a calm expression on his face.

quiet.

Wang Liangyu was slightly startled and remembered this sentence. When he first heard this sentence, he didn't quite believe it. He felt that such a way of practice was impossible. But when he thought of Zigong, he suddenly became hesitant. After a long silence, he asked again

"Hui, compared with you, who is stronger or weaker, Zigong?"

In the past few months, Wang Liangyu studied the scriptures all day long and wanted to discuss and communicate with Confucian disciples several times. Unfortunately, no one agreed. From the beginning to the end, he never saw the Confucian disciples using any methods. These Confucian disciples were like traditional

Literati generally read and practice calligraphy.

At most, if you shoot an arrow or drive a chariot, you can't see the methods of a Confucian practitioner at all.

However, Wang Liangyu could clearly feel a terrifying aura from them that made him feel even more palpitated.

For this reason, Wang Liangyu has not dared to make any mistakes and acted like a Confucian student.

"People know one thing, but not the other!" Yan Hui's expression remained indifferent, he looked at Wang Liangyu calmly and replied.

When Wang Liangyu heard this, his face fell down, knowing that he would not be able to ask anything from Yan Hui, a boring gourd.

After Zigong left, another two months passed.

As winter comes, the weather gets colder.

Early that morning, Wang Liangyu got up and saw heavy snow falling outside the window.

Wang Liangyu was startled for a moment, then rushed out of the house with joy and happily built a snowman.

Among the disciples of Confucius, there are many young people, such as Zeng Shen, who are now only twenty years old.

Seeing this, young people like Zeng Shen also ran out of the house one by one and followed Wang Liangyu to build snowmen.

In the huge courtyard, seven or eight snowmen of different shapes were quickly erected.

Wang Liangyu got excited about playing, grabbed a handful of snow, rolled it into a ball, and then threw it directly at Zeng Shen.

Among the disciples of Confucius, Wang Liangyu had the earliest contact with Yan Hui. However, Yan Hui was too introverted and taciturn, so the relationship was not as good as that of Zigong, Zeng Shen and others who he came into contact with later.

Zeng Shen was hit in the face by a snowball, but he was not annoyed. He stretched out his hand, picked up a ball of snow and threw it towards Wang Liangyu.

Wang Liangyu's feet slipped, and he dodged lightly like a flying dragon stepping on snow.

Seeing this, Zeng's dark eyes rolled around, and then he opened his mouth and shouted: "The gentleman who enters will achieve it!"

Wang Liangyu hesitated when he heard the words, stopped, turned around and looked at Zeng Shen with a face full of surprise.

However, the next scene left Wang Liangyu stunned.

Zeng Shen, who was originally five meters away from Wang Liangyu, suddenly appeared a foot away behind Wang Liangyu, holding a large handful of snow in his hand and smashing it towards Wang Liangyu.

Wang Liangyu was completely stunned. He even forgot to dodge and stared blankly at Zeng Shen.

"Silly?" Zeng Shen chuckled and looked at Wang Liangyu with a proud face, "How does my Confucianism compare to martial arts?"

Wang Liangyu woke up after hearing this and left, his face full of joy and excitement: "The shrinking of the ground just now, is it a Confucian magic?" After a pause, he asked urgently, "Why haven't I seen you use it before?

Pass?"

"Master hopes that we will devote ourselves to learning and not indulge in fancy tricks. This is not the right way of Confucianism." Zeng Shen scratched his head and explained with an embarrassed look, and then said solemnly, "It's not that we deliberately deceive you, Master."

I give you everything I have and never hide anything."

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! After Wang Liangyu listened, he didn’t know what to say. This was somewhat similar to Ji Ran.

Ji Ran was born in a Taoist family, but he only practiced Qi refining and did not know a single Taoist technique. He was a very pure seeker and inquirer, pursuing the way of heaven and earth and exploring the ultimate principles of heaven and earth.

For this kind of people, Wang Liangyu couldn't make any assumptions. He looked around, pulled Zeng Shen to the corner, and said expectantly: "Zeng Shen, let's compare notes?"

Without Zeng Shen's refusal, Wang Liangyu continued: "In a few months, the conference on Taoism will begin. By then, Confucianism will not just convince other schools of thought with words, right?" After a pause, he gestured again,

He said, "After all, you still want your subordinates to see the real chapter. You don't want Confucianism to lose face, right?"

"Let's discuss and discuss in private. It would be better for you to be mentally prepared, right?"

The deeds of the Taoism Conference have spread throughout the nine states, and Confucians are also aware of it. It is even more clear that Wang Liangyu is the organizer of the Taoism Conference. A group of Confucian disciples often ask Wang Liangyu about the Taoism Conference.

Hearing this, Zeng Shen, who had no intention of discussing things at first, suddenly hesitated.

As a Confucian disciple, Zeng Shen had great ambitions to promote Confucianism, and he was determined to win the Taoism Conference. However, due to Confucius' orders, the Confucian disciples had never been able to practice Confucianism seriously, so even if they were highly advanced, they could not practice Confucianism seriously.

How good is the actual combat skills? Confucian disciples still feel a little guilty!

Zeng Shen struggled for a long time, but finally did not agree, and instead said, "I'll tell you, Master, and I'll let you decide!"

Wang Liangyu looked helpless when he heard this, but he also knew that Confucian disciples respected their teachers and Taoism. Without Confucius' permission, they would definitely not be able to practice Confucianism, let alone compete in martial arts. Today, seeing Zeng Shen practicing Confucianism, that was all

What an unexpected surprise!

"Okay, then go and report to Master Ming now, it will show that you are awesome!" Without any expectations in his heart, Wang Liangyu couldn't help but urge him.

Zeng Shen responded simply, turned around and ran into the house.

After a while, Zeng Shen walked out dejectedly, followed by Yan Hui.

"Why, Master doesn't agree?" Seeing this, Wang Liangyu couldn't help but feel a little frustrated. He turned to look at Yan Hui and asked, "Master, don't you want to win the first prize in the Taoism Conference and promote the reputation of Confucianism?"

Yan Hui's face was filled with tranquility, and he said slowly: "Masters cannot refrain from Confucianism, but they still need to be cautious in their words and deeds."

"What do you mean?" Wang Liangyu was a little confused and didn't understand what it meant.

Zeng Shen curled up the corner of his mouth and said with a wry smile: "Master dislikes us and won't let us take action!"

Wang Liangyu was stunned when he heard this.
