Chapter 94 Remember my name

 Three days later.

The sun was shining brightly at sea, and the weather was not as erratic as that of the Grand Line. On the deck of the Ice Fire Man, Esdeath was lying on the lounge chair, and there were a few cold drinks on the table nearby.

A pirate ship overtook the Iceman from behind and kept getting closer.

The only cannon on the ship automatically turned its muzzle and aimed at the pirate ship.

This pirate ship followed Annan and the others for half a day, and did not conduct any bombardment during this period. Now it seems that it wants to engage in a battle.

Chug tug tug!

Continuous shells hit the pirates on the opposite deck.

Although it has an automatic recognition function, its accuracy is still poor, and the cannonballs exploded on the sea near the pirate ship.

After a while, the cannonballs in the turret were all fired, and the mast of the pirate ship was hit and broken into two halves.

"Okay, let's stop for a moment." Annan said to the navy who was changing ammunition. "There is not much ammunition on the ship, so don't waste it."

Then he stood on the side of the ship, kicked hard with his feet, and flew towards the pirate ship.

Although the previous bombardment caused chaos to the pirates, they still fought back when faced with Annan who came alone.

Bang bang bang!

Lead bullets were fired at Annan who fell on the deck.

Annan turned sideways to dodge a few bullets and then pulled out Muramasa. Flames covered the blade and he waved it lightly.

"Song Ming."

A fire tornado appeared out of thin air on the pirate ship, and at the same time, the screams of the pirates also followed.

After the pirate ship became silent, Annan also flew back, but now he was carrying a pirate.

Annan threw the pirates onto the deck. Feng, who was standing aside, held a stack of reward orders and began to search for the pirates' identities.

After Annan let go of the pirate, several marines rushed forward and wanted to tie him up. However, seeing that he was dying with extensive burns all over his body, they hesitated for a moment and symbolically put handcuffs and legcuffs on him.
"Thank you for your hard work, come over and have a drink."

Esdeath pointed to the cold drink on the table and smiled.

"It's just a piece of cake." Annan walked over, picked up a glass of drink, and wanted to drink it all in one gulp. However, after seeing several ice cubes of the same shape floating in the glass, he hesitated for a moment and chose to drink it slowly with a straw.

.

At this time, Feng also found the reward order for the pirate, and handed the reward order to Annan.

Annan took it and took a look.

"Hey, pirate with a bounty of six million, what gave you the courage to come over and cause trouble with the navy?" Annan pointed to the navy flag hanging on the roof of the forecastle.

"Asshole, how can you fix it!" The pirate struggled to stand up. "Annan, the rising star of the navy, I recognize you. I saw your appearance and your ship in the newspaper a few days ago."

"You see, this is the disadvantage of being famous." Annan drank a cold drink and pointed at the pirates and said, "I didn't catch a few big fish, but the flies came around."

"It's okay, just like that cannon, the more shells you fire, the more you can hit it." Esdeath said with a smile.

"Oh, but it's very annoying, and my good mood has been ruined."

"There are still too few people. Now I have to do everything myself." Annan shook his head and asked: "How many ships have we encountered?"

"Report Major, the twelfth ship!"

Anderson on the side replied.

Before going to sea, Annan thought of Anderson who had volunteered himself. He was not familiar with the East China Sea, so he happened to find a local to be his guide. Anderson joined the navy by the way, and is now a third-class private in the headquarters. He will return to the headquarters for training when he has time.<

"Twelve ships in three days, this frequency is higher than that in the Grand Line." Annan looked at the angry pirates, "Why, you are still not convinced. Seeing as you have been following us for a long time, you are not doing it for the East China Sea.

Come and deal with me because of your reputation as a thief, right?"

"That's right!" the pirate said loudly, "You, a rising star in the navy, actually dare to say that the pirates in the East China Sea are a bunch of rubbish! We must give you some perspective."

"Ah, I need to correct this first." Annan said, "First of all, you pirates are a bunch of garbage; secondly, I want the color shown to me to be yellow, and finally..." Annan turned back and looked at Anderson.

"Have I ever said this?"

"Major Annan, no!" Anderson replied, standing straight, "But, in order to sell newspapers, newspapers usually have some eye-catching but not too excessive...gimmicks."

"This is called unattractive? This is not too much?" Annan gritted his teeth and said, "It's just a gimmick, isn't it just a headline? Do you know that these pirates can't even recognize the words, so they can only make headlines. This

Isn’t it just playing into their hands!”

"This..." Anderson hesitated, "Pirates are not the target group of the newspaper. I guess my colleagues have not considered this."

"Those damn reporters...forget it." Annan waved his hand, "Come on, Anderson, let's go into the training room, and I'll teach you how to use the 'iron block'!"

"Ah, Major Annan, I am no longer a reporter. You can't avenge yourself." Anderson's face turned pale.

He had mentioned it before, wanting to improve his own strength, but Annan said that his physical fitness was just right for practicing "Iron Block".

Originally, Anderson thought it was a good thing to be able to practice the "Six Styles", but during training, Annan was always saying something like "Damn self-media, it's time for a picture" and the like, which he couldn't understand.

Then he was beaten unconscious by one of Annan's combinations.

What he wants to improve his strength is not to get beaten.

"What kind of person do you want to avenge a private vendetta? Am I that kind of person?" Annan looked at Anderson with a sneer, "Follow me!"

Annan and Anderson leave the deck.

"Did you hear that you were deceived? Annan never said anything like that."

Esdeath sat up, crossed her legs and looked at the pirate opposite.

"Your crew members all died at sea because of your ignorance and recklessness. Don't you feel a little guilty?"

"Hahahaha!" the pirate laughed loudly.

"My crew and I originally took the risk and became pirates to escape the kingdom's exorbitant taxes. If they don't become pirates, they will be forced to death by you people."

"You say we are trash, are you all good people?"

"Although there are some problems with what you said, I don't deny your point of view." Esdeath nodded, "So are these your last words?"

"Last words? You lackeys of the nobles..." The pirate's eyes suddenly burst into light, veins popped out on his forehead, and his muscles tightened.

Click, click

The iron shackles were torn off by him.

He knocked away the navy who came to stop him, pulled out a dagger from behind, and went straight to Esdeath.

"These are my last words!" he shouted loudly, "Go to hell, Navy!"

The surrounding navy raised their guns and took aim.

Esdeath raised her eyebrows, took a sip from a cold drink, and raised her hand to stop the navy's actions.

The navy lowered their muzzles and saw all the ice cubes in the cold drinks floating and spinning rapidly around Esdeath.

Esdeath casually waved his hand, and the ice blocks around him broke off the pirate's limbs like bullets.

The pirate lost his balance and fell forward, falling heavily on the deck.

He was still thinking about getting up, but as soon as he raised his head, he was stepped on by the opponent, and his face was pressed against the deck.

"You are not qualified to look directly at me." Esdeath said coldly, stepping on the pirate's temple with her heel. As long as she applied a little force, his blood would splash on the deck.

"Damn it...it was just a little bit close."

Being stepped on by Esdeath may be a great insult to this pirate. He still kept trying to raise his head, even if his face was covered with blood, he didn't care.

Esdeath didn't say anything, and just continued to apply pressure until the pirate couldn't lift his head at all.

"Your resistance is in vain, although I appreciate it."

Esdeath bent down and took the dagger from the pirate's hand, and looked at it carefully. He found that the dagger was not made of ordinary steel, but polished from stone. There were still a few words engraved on the blade, but they were blurred.

, I can barely make out a few words.

"If a weak person does not want to be dominated by others, he must strive to become a strong person. You have the qualifications to become a strong person, but it is a pity that you met me."

"Tell me your name. I will give you a happy death."

"For a pirate like me, even if I tell you my name, it won't matter. You will know when you hold my head in exchange for the bounty."

The pirate smiled and his eyes gradually dimmed.

"Really? I don't think so. Do you want to be the laughingstock of others when the reward order is revoked, or do you want others to remember your name before you die?"

"Even if it's only for a few seconds."

Esdeath played with the dagger, "Maybe your name will remain in the heart of someone here."

Suddenly a light appeared in the pirate's eyes.

"It's okay, Landry, the door has been opened. The outside world has been seen. Even if I die my name, my deeds will remain in their hearts."

"Tali..." the pirate murmured, "You are right, you will remember it, they will remember it."

"Remember my name, my name is Pacheco Landry!!!"

Landry roared.

Then there was silence.

"Die like this? I thought I could stimulate your potential again, but it's a pity."

Esdeath looked at Landry whose life breath was gradually dissipating and shook his head.

"It seems that your name is engraved on this dagger."

With that said, Esdeath put away the dagger.

"The dagger is good, so I collected it. So far, your performance is the most impressive pirate I have encountered in the East China Sea."
