Chapter 100 Awesome Invitation

Annan and Esdeath customized their dress styles in the clothing store.

When the two asked to complete it within a few hours, the gold medal tailor in the clothing store shook his head repeatedly, saying that this was absolutely impossible.

But when Annan showed the invitation, the entire clothing store staff were uncharacteristically respectful to them, but the gold medal tailor looked pale, as if Annan and the two had become some kind of terrifying monsters.

Even the boss ran out of the back room with a flattering face after hearing this. After inviting all the other guests away, he closed the door and walked up to the two of them.

After understanding the reason, he scolded the gold medal tailor, apologized to Annan and Esdeath, and repeatedly promised that he would deliver the dress to the naval base before the dinner began.

"Master Navy, when you take out this invitation, it shows that you are the most important guest of the Kingdom of Quinta." The boss nodded and bowed, "Especially in the port town, all the stores will not disobey any of your requests."

"You won't disobey any demands?" Annan raised the invitation in his hand, "If this falls into the hands of some evil people, your life will not be easy."

"Haha, how, how could it be possible?" The boss smiled flatteringly, "Those who can get such invitations are noble gentlemen, and gentlemen will not care about ordinary people like us."

As soon as he finished speaking, different voices came from behind the boss.

"Dad, please stop talking. There was a man with an invitation like this who customized clothes for us before and told us that they had to be made and delivered to him within two hours."

"Aisha, what are you talking about, you little brat?" The boss immediately turned around and rushed in front of the speaker, raising his hand as if he was going to slap him.

"Wait."

The boss’s wrist was grabbed by Annan.

"It's none of your business, just stand and go." Annan said calmly.

"This... Mr. Navy." The boss stammered, "My daughter is still young, she doesn't know anything..."

"It's better not to know anything." Esdeath said.

Then she came over, knelt down, looked at the little girl in front of her, reached out and touched the little girl's head, with a smile on her face: "Little sister, are you the boss's daughter?"

"Yes, of course I am also a shopping guide here." Aisha said proudly, "Also, my name is Aisha. I am twelve years old this year and I am no longer a little sister."

"Okay, okay, little Aisha." Esdeath was still smiling, "Then tell my sister, what did the person who held the invitation do later?"

The boss winked and tried his best to hint, but Aisha didn't seem to understand what he meant and continued:

"Usually, it takes three hours at the fastest to customize a dress, but he only gave us two hours, not including the time spent on the road to deliver the dress. Several tailor uncles worked hard to make it, and finally made it in time.

His dress was finished in two hours."

"But when it was delivered to Uncle Sam, it was too late. When he was returned by well-wishers, he had only one breath left. Before he could see his family for the last time, Uncle Sam passed away."

"Later the boss inquired and found out that just because the delivery time was one minute late, the man had Uncle Sam tied to a tree and whipped six hundred times with a whip. Uncle Sam was whipped to death.

After Aisha finished speaking, the atmosphere in the store became deathly silent, and faint sobbing could even be heard, and the boss's face became pale.

"Why are you so serious?" Annan glanced around, "We won't tie you to a tree and whip you."

"Of course not." The boss suppressed a smile, his trembling eyes never leaving Aisha and Esdeath.

Esdeath ignored everyone present, stared at Aisha's eyes with ice blue eyes, and said softly.

"Then tell sister, is that person a navy man?"

"How could it be the navy?" Elsa asked confused.

Esdeath stood up and said to Annan: "It doesn't look like the navy."

"I asked you why you asked this little girl questions on a whim." Annan said speechlessly, "You are too sensitive."

"Just asking, wouldn't that be better?" Esdeath replied.

"Forget it, let me do the talking." Annan waved the invitation to Aisha with a smile.

"Little Aisha, I am also the one holding this kind of invitation. Why aren't you afraid of me?"

Elsa blinked, "Of course I'm not afraid, because you are the navy, and Sister Tully is also the navy. She is a nice person, but I don't know what happened. She almost doesn't come to this town anymore."

"Dad said that being in the navy was busy, but she didn't say anything to me. Really, if Sister Tully was still here, she could have taken Uncle Sam to the naval hospital, so that he wouldn't

Dead."

"The sister Tully you are talking about is..."

"Lord Navy." The boss quickly came over and covered Elsa's mouth, "Tali is a navy in the naval base here. She often buys clothes here, and she has a good relationship with Elsa."

"Oh, what about her?" Annan asked.

"Well...I don't know either." The boss was confused, "Since the kingdom has new regulations, the navy has rarely come to the town. Tully...maybe it's because of this reason."

"That's it, then I have to go back and ask this Tully." Annan smiled and said, "Boss,"

"That's it, then I won't disturb you anymore." Annan raised his right hand and looked at his watch and said, "It's ten o'clock in the morning. Can our two dresses be delivered to the naval base before the dinner?"

"Absolutely!" the boss said, "I will personally deliver it to the naval base to ensure you are satisfied."

"Okay, don't close the door, open the door and do business."

Annan opened the door and walked out.

Esdeath rubbed Aisha's head and walked out.

After seeing the two people leave, the boss breathed a sigh of relief and stared at Aisha angrily.

"Elsa, what are you talking about?"

"Dad, am I not talking nonsense?" Aisha tilted her head and said with a blank look on her face.

"Oops." The boss was so angry that he clenched his fists, stamped his feet, looked around, and said to all the clerks:

"From now on, as long as you are holding that kind of invitation, you will say you don't know anything they ask, and you are not allowed to say anything else. Do you understand?"

"Okay, boss!" the clerks said in unison.

"There's really nothing we can do about you." The boss patted Ellie on the head.

"When you have the opportunity, you must take Aisha out of here." The boss said silently in his heart.

………………

After Annan and Esdeath wandered the street for a while, they found a seat at an outdoor dessert shop.

"I originally thought this invitation was for attending a dinner party, but I didn't expect it to be a symbol of status." Esdeath leaned on the seat with her legs stacked on top of each other, playing with the invitation in her hand.

"What do you think?" Annan put his hand on the dining table and said silently, "Haha, you are not even held accountable for murder. This is a great privilege."

Kill someone to pay for your life, and pay your debts for money.

This is a concept deeply ingrained in Annan’s mind and fully agreed with.

But in this world, it seems that complete compliance is not required.

"I know you're feeling panicked, and you're probably thinking about your murder-for-life scheme." Esdeath leaned forward slightly and stared into Annan's eyes.

"Sometimes I really don't understand what your family taught you to make you have such unrealistic ideas."

"The justice of the navy can only be served on the sea." Esdeath knocked on the table, "And this is not a sea. It is a member country of the World Government. We cannot interfere in their internal affairs."

"I know, I know." Annan said helplessly.

At least in the pirate world where Annan lives, equality is rare, freedom is common, law is arbitrary, fairness is relative, and killing does not necessarily require death.

As long as you have wealth, power, or power, you will be one of the superiors, and you will not have to spend a relatively failed life in the sewers.

Instead of thinking about those troublesome things, why not order something to eat and have fun.

"I didn't expect there is three-layer ice cream here. Do you want to try it?" Annan looked at the menu and asked Esdeath.

"Okay, I want the three layers with different flavors." Esdeath put her arm on the dining table and rested her chin on the back of her hand.

After Annan made his selection, he handed the menu to the waitress. Suddenly, he had an idea and took out the invitation.

Sure enough, after seeing the invitation, the waitress with a sweet smile on her face instantly turned pale.

After a while, the owner of the dessert shop ran out to say hello to Annan and Esdeath. Not only did he bring the desserts in person, but he also said that their consumption this time was free.

"Looking at their reactions, this invitation is not a symbol of dignity, but a symbol of evil." Esdeath joked.

"Sometimes, nobility and evil are synonyms." Annan said lightly.

"By the way, I was busy asking questions before, so I forgot to pay the deposit for the dress. How about... Major Annan, could you please go back?" Esdeath handed the invitation to Annan and said with a smile.

"I don't think it's necessary." Annan put the invitation into his pocket and said.

"Remember what Baal, the captain of the Kingdom Guard, said? All our consumption will be paid for by the king." Annan asked.

Esdeath nodded.

"Since the king pays the bill, there is no need to pay a deposit, the king will pay." Annan said.

"That's right, then how do you think the king will pay for us?" Esdeath asked.

"How do I know?" Annan stretched, "I'll ask the king directly at the dinner."

When the dessert was almost finished, Anderson ran over.

"Anderson, you're here." Annan said, "Have you got the reward order?"

"It's done, Mr. Annan, but the base director of the naval base will see you now. We have no choice but to come and find you." Anderson said.

"Wait a minute, the base commander wants to see Annan?" Esdeath pointed at Annan, "The base commander is just a branch lieutenant colonel, right? What qualifications does he have to ask you to come over?"

"Everyone you told us should come back to me. If he wants to see you, he has to come over by himself." Esdeath said coldly.

"This..." Anderson looked embarrassed, "Something is different now."

"Why is it different?" Annan asked curiously.

"Just now a telegram came from the headquarters. That Lieutenant Colonel Bodie was promoted two levels in a row and is now a brigadier general. Logically speaking, he is at the same level as you, Mr. Annan." Anderson replied.

Upgraded... two levels in a row?

Annan and Esdeath looked at each other.

"In that case, let's lead the way." Annan said.

The navy's base in Port Town is located in a remote corner of the town. Its architectural style is the same as that of the naval branch outside. At first glance, it was newly built when it was settled.

The two entered the base under the leadership of Anderson, but the branch was very deserted. There were only a few marines standing guard, and there were even fewer people inside.

"This is why Lieutenant Colonel Bodie, no, Commodore Bodie ordered us." Anderson said, "Except for the navy on guard, there are not many navy in this base. The other navy should be at the dock."
"Major Annan, Major Esdeath." Boris ran over, "Brigadier General Bodie is waiting for you in the office."

…………

In the office.

There were a lot of wine bottles scattered on the ground. Annan and Esdeath were sitting on the sofa, looking at the old man with a gray beard and a red face at the desk.

If he hadn't been wearing a navy uniform and a coat of justice, Annan would have thought he was some drunkard who sneaked into the office while the people on guard weren't paying attention and drank like crazy.

"I am Lieutenant Colonel Bodie, now Brigadier General Bodie." Bodie looked at the two of them and smiled. "I have heard about your deeds. I don't rely on my old age to show off my career or hold any position. You just call me Lao.

Bodie."

"So old Bodie, why did you ask us to come here?" Esdeath asked.

"Originally, we had it, but now we don't need it anymore." Old Bodie smiled and pointed to the coat on his body.

"You came to us for promotion, right?" Annan smiled.

"Of course not." Old Bodie sighed, "I am already seventy this year. At my age, there is actually no need for promotion, but they still promoted me."

"Not only that, at your age, you can already take a back seat." Esdeath said.

"It was time for me to retire. I had even chosen my successor after retirement. But something unexpected happened and I failed to retire. Instead, I became a brigadier general." Old Bodie smiled bitterly.
p>

"Ah this..." Annan felt a little pity for this old navy man.

"Who is that navy, and what is that accident?" Annan asked.
