Chapter 49 Why is it just me, where is Esdeath?

On the deck, Peake paced back and forth.

Gal is still on the phone.

"You might as well just let the pirate group with a bounty of 100 million kill them all. Wouldn't it be better if you never see them face to face?" Pique rubbed his hair irritably.

"That's just the last resort." Gal hung up the phone and said to Pique.

"Only a fool would place their hopes on pirates."

……

The two ships finally met.

Pique rubbed his face with both hands, then with a smile on his face, he led his men aboard the pirate ship.

I glanced around the deck, trying to find the sailors.

The pirate hanging on the mast, ignore.

Ignore people dressed like chefs.

Two little girls... These two little girls can't be navy.

"Are you the navy here to meet us?"

Pique looked at Feng who was trotting over.

"I'm... I think I'm a third-class private." The girl in front of me muttered something in a low voice.

Pique didn't hear what Feng said and thought she was a civilian kidnapped by pirates.

"Don't be afraid. Little girl, we are..."

"I am Mr. Annan's subordinate! Maple!! Navy private third class!!!"

Feng suddenly shouted loudly, interrupting Pique.

"Good! Very energetic!"

Annan walked over with a smile.

"Sorry, my subordinate's voice is a bit loud."

"No, it's okay, haha."

Pique laughed a few times and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"I am Colonel Peake from the Chambord Naval Base, here to meet you."

"I am Annan."

"Annan?" The navy behind Pique hesitated.

"Any questions?"

"Is this August Annan?" a navy asked cautiously.

"Yeah, what's wrong?"

Annan was confused, "When did I become famous?"

"The navy of this headquarters is a man named August Annan..."

The navy man bumped away from Peake excitedly.

He walked up to Annan, held his hand tightly, and said happily:

"It turns out it's you, Mr. Annan! I heard that you suppressed General Kizaru and beat him at the headquarters, and he called him an extremely terrifying naval supernova. I didn't expect to see you here!"

"Ah?"

When did I become a rookie in the navy? No, when did I suppress and beat General Kizaru?

"Don't talk nonsense, or I'll sue you for libel!"

Annan said angrily.

"Mr. Annan, please stop being modest."

The sailor had a solemn expression.

"Have you just become a member of the Navy?"

"Yeah."

"Did you fight against General Kizaru at headquarters?"

"Yes..."

"That's right!"

The marine suddenly roared, making everyone on the field tremble.

"This is exactly what the newspaper said. Your strength is acknowledged by General Kizaru himself!"

"You were the one who arrested the Broadsword Pirates with a bounty of 90 million, right?"

"Sure enough, a person like you would not be willing to be a minor major. I believe it won't be long before your reputation will resound throughout the sea!!"

"Ahem." Pique coughed a few times.

"Wibber, please control your emotions, we have business to do."

Peake calmed down the excited Wilbur with a few words, and then looked at Annan.

"Annan... Young... Your Excellency." Pique looked at Annan, his head was a little dizzy.

The development of things was somewhat beyond his expectation.

Although the navy that the base called before was indeed called Annan, he didn't think too much about it. There were so many people with the same name, how could there be such a coincidence.

"Well, don't be so nervous. Let's discuss our own affairs, Colonel Peake." Annan chuckled.

"I didn't catch this pirate, I just made some meager contributions."

"Your Excellency Annan, you are too humble."

Pique's hands trembled and he forced a smile.

"Would you like to come to my office for a cup of tea?"

"My subordinates will not do anything like that."

As soon as he finished speaking, Pique wanted to slap himself.

Axi, isn’t this just throwing yourself into a trap?

"No, no, no."

Annan quickly refused.

With his current reputation, if he goes to a warship, the entire navy will probably be fried.

"This ship is very good and fast. I will follow you to Shampoo on this ship."

"That's good."

Pique secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"You go ahead and get busy, I won't hinder your work."

Annan quickly pulled Feng back to Esdeath and the others.

Esdeath holds a newspaper in her hand and a pile at her feet.

Little A, the newspaper delivery gull, was standing on the side of the ship, and Ling was teasing it with a piece of biscuit.

"Wow, I didn't expect Mr. Annan to be so powerful. Where is the master?" Feng asked curiously.

Ever since Esdeath announced that she would train Kaede and Ling, they called Esdeath their master.

"The village chief said that if there is someone on the sea who is willing to spend time and energy to teach us, we should call that person master." Feng said.

But Annan suggested that calling him master would be better than calling him master, and Esdeath also liked the word master better, so Feng and Ling started calling Esdeath master.

"Yes, what about you?"

Annan glanced at Esdeath.

"See for yourself."

Esdeath slapped the newspaper on Annan's chest.

Annan turned the newspaper to the navy section.

"Ouch!"

"This Spring and Autumn style of writing is good."

This is an issue of the newspaper from three days ago. It details how the two of them fought against Kizaru on the school field.

Both Esdeath and Annan have narrations, but the description of Annan is very detailed and even exaggerated, while Esdeath only brushes it off.

The first time I read this kind of short composition, I can't help but think that Annan is the protagonist of this battle.

How could he destroy Kizaru's eight-foot magatama with just one swing? How could a fire sword alone be as good as the Tian Cong Yun sword...

As for Esdeath? It’s just the protagonist’s pendant.

"So this is what it feels like to read a cool article."

Annan said with a smile.

Seeing this, he wasn't nervous at all.

"It's so funny. It's so fake. Is it possible that someone will believe it when I write this?"

But at the end, Annan's expression became unnatural.

At the end of the article, he praised Annan's excellence based on actual facts, the last face of the new generation of the navy, and the future admiral of the navy. He kept praising him, and also attached a record of Kizaru being interviewed by a reporter...

What you said... really makes sense!

Annan's face turned from red to white.

It’s so crazy, pressing down on Kizaru and beating...

It's so terrifying, I can't keep this child.

"His"

Thinking of it, Annan couldn't help but take a breath.

"Is your old man crazy?"

Annan looked at Esdeath.

Naval Headquarters, Kizaru Office.

Kizaru held a cup of tea and glanced at the newspaper on the table.

"It's scary, Morgans, to write such an exaggerated report. I wonder if Esdeath-chan will be angry with me."

"But as soon as this report comes out, that little guy Annan will probably be in trouble in the future."

"Oh, by the way, they seem to be together."

Kizaru showed a kind smile.

Peake directed his subordinates to check the identities of the pirates one by one.

After the verification was completed, Pique showed the list to Annan for review and handed him a cigarette.

"Thank you, no."

"Okay." Pique smiled.

"With Mr. Annan's ability, has he entered General Kizaru's army?"

Since he was praised by General Kizaru, he should have joined the Kizaru army, Pique thought. With the character of General Kizaru, his dereliction of duty should be able to get away with it.

"Oh, it's been reported like this. I guess the higher-ups don't want to hide it, so I'll just tell you."

Annan thought for a while and said.

"I did want to join General Kizaru's army. But it didn't happen."

"If it doesn't work out, then there will be a better chance."

Pique was secretly happy.

"I am now a subordinate of General Akainu."

"Plop."

Pique's legs became weak involuntarily, and he leaned forward and knelt down in front of Annan.

The scene suddenly became awkward.
