Chapter 5 Bad Trip (2)

Hosseini tried to open the image phone bug, but could not release the image. All the phone bugs lowered their heads and made no sound.

"There's no need to try. Since they made such a big noise, the other party must be well prepared."

"We shouldn't be able to contact anyone now."

"Captain!" The first mate broke through the door and gasped for air.

"Crab! What a big crab! Our weapons have no effect on it. Many crew members are injured!"

"It seems they can't solve it. How about I go take a look." Esdeath looked at Annan.

"No, I'll go." Annan adjusted the blindfold on his forehead. He walked up to Esdeath and whispered a few words to her.

Esdeath nodded, understanding.

On the lookout, Cannon held a long gun with a scope, his fingers trembling on the trigger.

After the crabs got on the boat, Cannon tried to contact Annan using the phone bug, but the call was still unreachable.

The crew below kept shooting at the crabs with flintlock guns, and some brave ones used axes to chop at the crabs, but they could not break the hard carapace of the crabs at all.

"Normal attacks are ineffective against it, and its weaknesses must be found..."

Cannon watched carefully through the scope.

He found that the crab would deliberately protect its eyes every time the crew attacked.

"The eyes are its weak point!"

Cannon immediately raised his gun, took aim, and shot out the crab's left eye. Blue blood flowed from the wound.

"There's a show!"

Before Cannon could be happy, Crab discovered the despicable attacker. He moved below the mast and tried to climb up.

Of course it couldn't climb up due to its huge size, so it chose a simpler method - destroying the mast

"Oops!"

Cannon felt his body tilting. Before long, he would be cut into pieces by this guy.

"Damn it, as a navy, I would rather die fighting pirates than be killed by this crab!"

At this moment, Annan appeared on the deck.

Annan stepped onto the deck, and his eyes reflected the broken limbs and stumps all over the place.

"Can a crab be so lethal?" Annan was a little surprised.

"Major Annan!"

Looking up, Cannon was holding the mast on the lookout and shouting to him. The crab below was frantically destroying the mast with its pincers.

"Kaba" the mast is broken.

"Ah ah ah -" Cannon felt someone suddenly tightening his waist during the fall. In a blink of an eye, he was on the deck.

"Did you do the crab's eyes?" Annan patted the stunned Cannon, "Well done, boy."

"Ah?" Cannon suddenly landed on the ground from the air, but Cannon hadn't reacted yet.

"Boom!"

Along with the roaring thunder, the strong wind also blew up.

"I can't get through the rain these days." Annan looked at the gloomy sky.

The crab seemed to hear Annan's complaints and rushed towards him.

"Go to the captain's room. You may be accidentally injured in the next battle." Annan said to Cannon.

Before he finished speaking, Annan had already reached the top of the crab's head. His saber flashed coldly and he swung it down.

Clang!

Annan's saber struck the carapace, creating a cloud of sparks.

"This..."

Annan looked at the crab in surprise, "Is the crab's shell so hard?"

The knife just now can cut even steel. The carapace of this crab is already harder than steel.

The crab felt the attack above its head and swung its big claw towards Annan.

Annan stepped on the crab's head to avoid its attack and jumped onto the broken mast.

"I underestimate you."

Annan swung his saber, and white slashes were fired from the blade, flying out from the blade and slashing straight towards the thick shell.

Bang!

The crab blocked Annan's slash with two claws, but the outer carapace was also shattered, revealing the pale white flesh inside.

"Cuckoo..."

The crab's mouthparts began to secrete foam continuously. The white foam flowed to the deck, making a "sizzling" sound.

"The corrosive foam... is really scary."

Annan disappeared from the spot, and the next moment, he appeared in front of the crab, with the blade in the sheath, holding the handle in his hand, and leaning up.

"Secret Sword·True·Cross Slash!"

The jet-black cross slash penetrated the crab's body diagonally from bottom to top, dividing it into four pieces.

"Whoosh, whoosh..." The heavy rain poured down, clearing away the blood stains on the deck one by one.

"Why are you all showing such expressions? Take your chin back!" Annan looked at the onlookers whose eyes were about to pop out of their sockets not far away and said helplessly.

While he was talking, a reflection from the crab carcass attracted Annan's attention.

When I got closer, I saw that the crab’s flesh was mixed with mechanical parts.

"Interesting."

Returning to the captain's cabin, Annan looked at Esdeath sitting with her legs crossed and Cannon constantly fiddling with the navigation pointer.

"Is there anything new?" Annan asked.

"Yes, the navigator of the merchant ship is dead." Esdeath replied, "The navigational hands in the entire ship are also broken."

"Yours is broken too?" Annan looked at Cannon.

"Yes, it was fine just now, but it broke down not long after we arrived in the captain's room." Cannon said, holding up the pointer.

"Then let me tell you about my discovery." Annan walked to the desk and threw a mechanical part on the table.

"This was found in the remains of the crab, which means that the crab was artificially modified."

"Pirates don't have this kind of technology for artificially modified crabs," Esdeath said.

"Then the question is, besides pirates, who would attack the merchant ships of a country that joins the world government?" Annan said.

After a knock on the door, the first mate walked in.

"Captain, the ship's doctor has examined Rudy's body. He was bitten by a poisonous insect and died."

Rudy is the unlucky navigator.

"Poisonous insect?"

"Yes, the ship's doctor said Teddy's symptoms are particularly similar to those caused by a poisonous insect in his hometown. But our merchant ships have never passed there."

Suddenly, Esdeath's eyes flashed red, he drew his sword out of its sheath, and stabbed Hosseini in the back of the neck.

"What are you doing!" Upon seeing this, the first mate immediately prepared to draw his gun and shoot, but was stopped by Annan.

"Is this the poisonous insect?" Esdeath pointed the sword in front of the first mate's eyes. There was a black beetle stuck on the tip of the sword.

"Yes, yes." The first mate looked surprised.

"Okay, you have nothing to do here, go out." Hosseini pretended to be calm and waved the first officer to leave.

After the first mate left, Hosseini slumped in a chair.

"Thank you so much just now." Hosseini said to Esdeath very gratefully.

"Instead of thanking me, it's better to discuss what to do next." Esdeath replied.

Cannon can fill the vacancy of navigator, but he cannot judge the direction in the storm without navigation pointer, so he can only anchor and wait.

"They have achieved their goal by destroying the telephone bugs and navigation pointers, and poisoning the navigators. It won't be long before they come looking for them." Annan put on the blindfold as he spoke.

"Just wait."
