Chapter 90 A big fight

Today's weather is not much better than yesterday. When Robert stepped out of the living room wearing a black fur coat, the howling cold wind hit his face mercilessly, biting and freezing.

Eddie was wearing a worn-out leather jacket, and his face was red from the cold. He was rubbing his hands together to breathe in the heat, and kept complaining about the physical pain caused by the bad weather.

Especially after repeated fights in the past few days, when the bruises and redness on his body have not yet subsided, even Eddie, a super anti-hero template with Venom, cannot stand the pain caused by the wounds.

Robert waved his hand to Vanessa behind him, telling her to relax, and then said, "I don't think we should stay here for even one second longer."

Eddie agreed very much: "Damn it, if I could, I would rather stay in bed all day!"

"But there is no such thing as this." After taking a taxi, the window glass finally blocked the severe cold outside, but it also coated the window glass with a layer of white smoke, and the scenes on both sides of the street became blurry and vague.

Be clear.

However, the two of them had no intention of enjoying the scenery on the street. Not to mention that there were only a few people on the street, not even a single leaf could be seen from the sycamore trees on the roadside, let alone any scenery.

The two of them had no interest in speaking, and even the taxi driver in Gotham City, who was famous for his talkativeness, rarely said a word, as if the winter air in Gotham City could freeze all people's words.<

When they arrived at the place, Robert saw that Eddie had no intention of digging into his trouser pockets, so he had to take out a federal dollar of one hundred denominations and a federal dollar of five denominations and handed them to the driver.

"Sorry, I really can't afford a penny right now." Eddie touched his nose awkwardly.

Robert didn't care much. Now he didn't care about the expenses that should be paid. As long as it was worth the money, he would not regard the money outside his body as more important than his own life.

Only by reintroducing Eddie to the Daily Bugle and cooperating with Eddie can he have Venom as a powerful assistant and increase his safety against Drake.

"It seems that the only scenery worth appreciating here is the wall-creeper outside this office building." Robert found that the wall-creeper plant was surprisingly tenacious. They had been layered on top of each other outside Arkham Asylum and were full of vitality.

, I didn’t expect it to still stand proudly on the wall in the city.

Eddie shrugged: "These wall-crawlers have been here for many years. Thanks to the office building owner's lack of funds, otherwise I don't think they would have existed here."

Robert glanced at the wall-creepers a few more times, which allowed him to "absorb" some of the relief green. Otherwise, with the depressing and dull gray tone style of Gotham City, Robert felt that he had been here for too long in winter, and he couldn't even see

Even sunlight makes you feel uncomfortable.

The receptionist at the front desk changed. When Robert saw the back that was still full of energy in winter, he couldn't help but be stunned. He carefully thought about the other person's name, but in the end it was Eddie who shouted out first: "Ke

Christine, are you on duty today?"

The orange ponytail swayed, and Christine was obviously stunned when she heard the voice. She suddenly raised her head and saw that it was Eddie. She was surprised and said: "Senior Eddie, you..."

She then saw Robert next to Eddie and became curious: "What do you and Mr. Robert want here?"

Robert's behavior of spending three days fishing and two days working online without coming to work at the Horn Company has already made Christine label him a "rich second generation" in her heart.

Eddie smiled and said: "Mr. Robert and I plan to visit Director Jonah. I think he will also be very happy about our arrival."

Kristen pondered for a moment and dialed the front desk phone. After some communication, she said: "Director Jonah does have plans to meet you. You can go upstairs to find him now."

After Eddie thanked him, the two of them stepped onto the second floor of the office building. Although Robert had only been here a few times, every time he stepped here, he felt that he was out of tune with the surrounding environment.

There are noisy noises, the sound of paper being turned over, the phone ringing from time to time, and the tapping of leather shoes.

Eddie was accustomed to this scene. He skillfully opened Director Jonah's office. As soon as this old buddy whom he was very familiar with saw Eddie, he opened his arms: "Hey! Man, I'm glad to be in the Horn Company again."

See you, our gold medal reporter!"

Eddie was stunned for a moment, but he quickly recovered: "Director Jonah, over there at the Life Foundation..."

Robert casually sat on the sofa: "If I'm not wrong, the stock price of the Life Foundation has already reached the bottom... I'm afraid that Drake can't care about the trivial matters of a reporter, and he will face bankruptcy instead.

crisis, and to deal with the pressure from government legislators and business leaders."

Jonah glanced at Robert in surprise, but did not object to what he said: "Robert is indeed right. The Life Foundation company building in Gotham City was damaged by mysterious creatures, and the recent night-time weirdness in Gotham City

The legend has made the entire Gotham City tremble... We are not afraid of atomic bombs falling from the sky, but for unknown mysterious creatures that can threaten our lives at any time, I don't think anyone can pretend that nothing has happened..."

"Currently, the biggest suspect is the Life Foundation. Most Gotham citizens have already assumed that it was the Life Foundation's fault that caused the mysterious creatures to go out of control."

"Even if the Life Foundation can recover, the government departments will not allow them to continue such horrific research."

Jonah stretched out his hand and said: "So, Eddie Brock, my old brother, I'm glad you can return to work at the Horn Company."

Eddie was in a dream, and until he left the Horn Company's office building, he still felt that everything was so unreal.

As for Robert's request to resign, Jonah pretended to hold back for a few words, and then solemnly bid him farewell with a look of sorrow for losing his talent.

Of course, for this month's salary, Jonah said on the spot that he would never owe Robert anything, and directly slapped the federal coins on the table - a full stack of 8,000 federal coins.

"I really can't imagine that a Gotham citizen would give up his job as a reporter for the Daily Bugle..." Eddie felt the severe cold outside and instantly became more energetic. He was in a good mood and couldn't help but joke.

Robert had a smile on his lips. While the two were waiting for the taxi to pass by, Robert poured a basin of cold water: "I need to remind you, Mr. Eddie, the matter is not over..."

Facing Eddie's doubtful gaze, Rob said coldly: "Your ability to remain a reporter is based on the fact that Drake will never come back, but do you think Drake will definitely not succeed?

"Think about the black guy in your body, and then think about Banner's Hulk. These things that you couldn't believe before actually exist in this world. So, what else is impossible to happen?

?"

Eddie clenched his fists, and after a long time, he took a deep breath.

When he opposed the Life Foundation before, he relied entirely on his inner conscience or his arrogance. It didn't matter.

It was not unexpected that he did not receive the honors and rewards he deserved.

The people around him were still the same people, and the things around him were still the same. His seemingly heroic behavior did not change his current situation for the better. Rather, he lost more.

Eddie and Robert's eyes glanced past the approaching taxi, and invariably looked at the wall-creeper not far away.

But...it's just like this wall-crawler, isn't it?

"Tch...it's really troublesome. Forget it, let's have a big fight. When and where will we meet?"

Robert grinned: "Christmas, December 25th, 6 pm, Life Foundation Suburban Base."
