Chapter 106 The Battle of the Old City

While Robert and Drake were chasing each other, Gotham City's old town welcomed three uninvited guests.

Here, we have to talk about the old city.

Old City is located at the bottom of Gotham City, bordering Hell's Kitchen to the east, the Upper West Side to the west, and the industrial area to the north. It can be said that most of the people living here are the lowest level of society - temporary workers in the factories in the north.

The porters at the south pier, the black truck drivers who drive at night, the ladies standing on the streets...

So when Frank, Bruce, and Wade stepped into this neighborhood, they all frowned deeply.

Frank sighed: "I haven't been here for five or six years, but if you ask me to say they have changed, I can only say that it couldn't be worse."

Wade pinched his nose with his hand: "I'm going to be stung to death. That one-armed general's base is built in such a ghost place, my God!"

Bruce felt completely unfamiliar with everything around him. He felt as if he was not in Gotham, but more like he had entered a small and downtrodden country in the uncivilized Middle-earth continent.

He looked at the winding alley like a duodenum, and then looked up at the shanties and brick houses above his head that were built haphazardly like stacked blocks.

Various iron frames and stairs connect these "houses" together, spiraling them up into the sky, causing Bruce to look up and even the stars become blurry.

The road conditions are not beautiful either, and the hygiene here is even more dizzying than Hell's Kitchen.

If the garbage in Hell's Kitchen is "fresh", then the garbage here seems "old" and stagnated in the corner. The three of them couldn't tell what it was made of, that huge unknown object.

The streets extend in all directions with illogical branches, which makes people have no confidence to go out, because the three of them sometimes encounter situations where they reach a dead end, but when they are about to turn around, they find that this dead end is not the end of the road.

The real "dead end", there is a rusty iron ladder on the wall at the end of the dead end.

After climbing the iron ladder, they will find an arch-like path on the left wall, and the shed on the right connects to the upper area.

The dazzling space made the three of them feel dizzy.

Fortunately, the director of Arkham Asylum tracked the light spot, and the three of them were able to clear their minds and continue to move forward following the light spot.

"I have to say that General One-Armed made the right choice to build the base here." Wade pinched his nose.

Frank was alert to the surrounding situation and couldn't help but agree when he heard this: "I walked here for two days last time before I left. Since that time, I have no desire to explore here. Your judgment is right, Wade.

"No one would have thought that a dignified military general would place his base in a slum like this." Bruce has never even heard of such a ghost place in Gotham City. In his opinion, the old city is no better than Hell's Kitchen.

Even worse, Crime Alley is probably his understanding of "slums".

The people in the slums couldn't help but look at these three strange tourists in strange clothes. In their eyes, strangers coming to the old town were incredible enough, and people who came to the old town on Christmas were just like

There is no difference between "demons and ghosts".

They quietly peered at the three people from behind the dirty glass covered with dirt. When the three people's backs disappeared, they sighed secretly and continued to eat black bread under the dim yellow oil lamp.

No one wants to get involved in such weird things, especially when there have been a lot of missing people in the old city recently.

In addition to the legend that strangers can bring bad luck, there are also many popular late-night legends here.

For example, vampire legend.

The child under the dim butter lamp asked puzzledly.

The adults were chewing bread and talking in a strange tone.

The legendary vampires, with their green faces and fangs, and their backs and wings, always appear in the old city around twelve o'clock in the night, watching the entire street with their scarlet eyes. Whenever there is a lone creature, they will use their sharp claws to kill them.

They tore it into pieces, ate its blood, and devoured its flesh alive for midnight snacks.

The child listened attentively. In the end, he seemed to find the vampire legend meaningless and muttered: "Vampire legend, you'd better tell the story about the one-armed uncle next door. You said that uncle has been here for more than ten years, but I don't think so.

He leaves early and comes home late, and I don’t know what he’s doing.”

"Shh... don't pry if you shouldn't. I'm afraid that uncle is a gangster." The adult said vaguely while chewing black bread.

In this way, their Christmas passed by in a panic, just like every night in the past.

However, today's night is particularly scary for all residents in the old city...

"What's going on? Have you been exposed?!" General Ross held up a monocular and looked at the three people walking downstairs from a distance.

At this point in time, there are still strangers in the old city, and the fact that these three strangers actually approached their location has proven the fact that they were exposed.

Ross was furious. The base he had been operating for more than ten years was found. Not to mention the various important documents and materials in the base, it was also a huge trouble to find a new safe location.

"Almost all other safe places are occupied by those old guys, so the old city is not eye-catching and has been managed by me for a long time."

Ross put down the monocular and tapped the window edge with his fingers on his right arm.

"Leave one of these three alive and kill the other two."

Find other insiders, and then...

Get rid of them all!

"Yes, General!"

The several standing soldiers immediately saluted, but Ross interrupted them with a wave of his hand. He glanced sideways at the elegant figure in the darkness and said calmly: "Count Dracula, as a sign of your sincerity in our cooperation, you should express your sincerity."
"Shooting in the dark will indeed expose a lot. I fully understand this. General Ross, I am willing to take responsibility for you." Count Dracula took a sip of the red wine in the glass and clicked his tongue twice.

After Count Dracula drank the red wine, he lazily stood up and approached the window. When the moonlight brushed over his pale and cold face, his long pale golden hair became weird.

"Just watch the show quietly, General Ross, don't you also want to see the strength of the Earl of the Blood Tribe?"

The window opened without any wind, and with a flash of Count Dracula's scarlet eyes, he turned into countless bats, suddenly rushed out of the shack, and swarmed towards the three people on the road like a swarm of bees.

"Be careful!"

Frank raised his pistol and was just about to aim at the place where the sound was coming from, when his right hand suddenly felt pain and the pistol was subconsciously thrown aside.

However, the luck of the bats was not very good. They all rushed towards the target - Wade. Wade said that he felt like he had been bathed in blood. Except for the black and red costume, the rest was the same as before.

There is no difference.

"Run! Bruce! Run!"

Frank yells!
