Chapter 7 Shooting Process (2) Tangze Brand “No” Repeater

During the break, Tang Ze found Lao Wu.

He gave Lao Wu an important job, which was to draw corresponding illustrations based on the scene concepts he designed.

Since Tangze's requirements are relatively strict, Lao Wu needs to draw no less than a hundred illustrations to qualify.

It may take less than a month from shooting to post-production, which makes the task more difficult.

You know, even those famous cartoonists who can draw more than ten pages of black and white cartoons a week are considered quick shooters, and hundreds of pages around them will still put a huge burden on them.

However, since this is the first film, Karasawa must strive for excellence and must squeeze the abilities of all staff members, including actors.

He won't give anyone a chance to relax!

Old Wu enjoyed it and was very happy to be able to help Tang Ze. Perhaps his diploma as an art professor was just for this day.

In addition, Tangze also plans to prepare in advance for the announcement. He will try to find reporters who are interested in hot topics and proactively provide them with topics.

Of course, it is impossible to give money. After Lao Wu resigned, he had no source of money.

He plans to use the remaining money after filming to produce a promotional song for the movie.

So when he contacted some reporters and provided them with hype ideas, they were all rejected.

There is no doubt that veteran actors are worthy of respect, but their popularity is not enough for reporters to follow them for free.

For example, some actors take on more than a dozen dramas a year. Isn't it possible to make front pages every time? At most, write a sentence saying that the drama starring so-and-so is proceeding in an orderly manner.

As for Karasawa himself, he is not famous at all, but his reputation as a genius director may be good.

But again, if you don’t have money, it’s not worth breaking the news.

This part can only depend on luck. Tang Ze spread the information about the crew to the paparazzi and stopped paying attention.

Shooting continued the next day.

"All departments are ready to start the indoor drama!"

"The actors are in place!"

"The fourth scene, one shot, once!"

"Start!"

The layout inside the cabin is very simple, and there are various ancient objects.

The gathering of intellectuals naturally became high-profile from the beginning.

During the conversation, everyone realized that Tang De seemed to want to say something, but they were all old acquaintances and did not force him to speak.

Then archaeologist Xu Zheng and his student and daughter Wu Qian appeared. They had known each other for ten years in the setting. Tang Ze removed the original introduction.

Wu Qian and Tang Ze, who are full of girlishness, show the curiosity of girls in this period.

It was originally supposed to be Xu Qing who took down the bow and arrow, but it was changed to her.

In fact, in the scene here, the lover of the original male protagonist picked up a bow and arrow for no apparent reason, and he was very strange.

They are both lovers, why do you act like you still know nothing about the hero?

Even if this can deepen the mystery of the male protagonist, logic is obviously more important. The more realistic the film is, the more it will increase the audience's sense of immersion.

However, Wu Qian's performance was a bit bad, her performance was a bit exaggerated, she looked around before entering the room, and then noticed the bow and arrow.

"Click!"

Tang Ze stopped in time and said to her: "Curiosity should be aroused, not appear suddenly. How come you have known the male protagonist for ten years, even if you were only a few years old at the time, what else does this shabby wooden house have? Curious?"

"Then what should I do?" Wu Qian humbly asked.

Tang Ze said: "You should have accidentally discovered the bow and arrow, and then you were surprised, and then you started to look around curiously. Do you understand?"

"I understand!"

Tang Ze did not let her go: "Then show a surprised look first!"

Wu Qian's eyes widened.

"It's too exaggerated. Why are you staring? Be natural."

"No!"

"No!"

"No!"

"..."

"It still doesn't work, just slightly dilating the pupils is enough."

Seeing that Wu Qian was still unable to meet her requirements, Tang Ze's tone became much harsher unconsciously, and his face became stern.

Xu Qing whispered to Feng Yuanzheng: "Actually, I think the looks just now were okay. Are my requirements too low?"

Feng Yuanzheng shook his head: "That's enough. After all, she's just a girl acting for the first time."

Li Jiejian said: "The spirit of striving for excellence is very good, and after all, that look needs to be a close-up, so it must be the best."

When Wu Qian found the feeling and met Tang Ze's requirements, something went wrong again when filming officially started.

After being NGed several times in a row, Wu Qian finally found that look in her eyes again, but Tang Ze shouted stop again.

"Forget it, let's take a rest first!"

Xu Zheng asked: "What's wrong? The look in his eyes just now was very good. I don't think I can even get it in one go."

All the actors also nodded.

Tang Ze looked at Wu Qian again: "Do you know why I shouted stop again?"

"I...I...I didn't do it well?" Wu Qian's voice was a little low.

Tang Ze shook his head: "No, you did a good job. But, Wu Qian, you are a little nervous, didn't you notice? Your hands were shaking just now."

"So relax, be confident, and have confidence in yourself. Nervousness will only make progress slower."

After hearing this, several veteran actors also came to encourage her and praised Wu Qian for her spirit.

Women are obviously more sensitive and know where the key lies. For this reason, Xu Qing specially said: "Don't worry about Director Tang, he is the repeater on the set. The word 'no' makes me brainwashed."

"Yes, yes, Director Tang, I think you can dub Bu Buyao, maybe it will become a childhood nightmare for all children." Xu Zheng also came to lighten the atmosphere and complained about Tang Ze.

Everyone also laughed.

Tang Ze smiled, but didn't say anything.

This is what filming is like. If you are not strict, others will act according to their own ideas. If the movie is messed up, the responsibility will still be yours.

He patted Wu Qian on the shoulder and said, "You have to get used to it. You may have to listen to my re-reading later."

Unknowingly, Wu Qian also breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps it was Tang Ze's stern "no" just now that put her under pressure, which made her nervous.

She took a few deep breaths, secretly cheered herself up, and then took the initiative: "Director Tang, I think I've had enough rest. I'm not nervous anymore!"

"OK, let's continue."

"Scene six, five shots, twenty-three shots!"

"Start!"

Wu Qian easily looked past that look this time, and then took off her bow and arrow. The intellectuals who were talking about various subjects just now naturally paid attention to this again.

After that, everyone seemed to be curious about the things in the house. After all, they had not been curious about the things in the house for ten years, so it seemed unexpected to be curious so early in the morning.

In this regard, he felt that the details were not done well in the original version.

Then anthropologist Feng Yuanzhen noticed a parrot-beak-like chisel and realized that it was an antique from the pre-Magdalenian period.

Then everyone started discussing this antique.

When Feng Yuanzheng asked where he got it, Tang Ze blurted out: "The two-yuan store, and the boss packaged it for me."

Archaeologist Xu Zhengdao: "You are so lucky. I have to dig in the ground for this thing."

Although everyone thought it was true, Karasawa, who had lied, once again showed an expression that wanted to say something but didn't know whether to say it or not.

Until everyone urged him, Tang Ze tentatively asked a question: "If a person from the Paleolithic Age lived to this day, what would happen to him?"

Everyone thought that Tang Ze was writing a novel, and began to use their own expertise to prove the falsification with the rigorous standards of intellectuals and add settings to it.

Evidence comes after evidence, from anthropology to ancient studies, and finally to biology, which seems to confirm the feasibility of Paleolithic humans being exactly the same as modern humans.

But this raises another question: can immortality be achieved?

Such circular questions one after another, with some surprising ideas thrown out from time to time, made the gathering seem like an academic exchange.

It wasn't until Karasawa started to say, "Aristarchus was the first person to propose the heliocentric theory, and Copernicus only supplemented it" that broke people's common sense, that this discussion took on a completely different meaning.

Because the people discussing are changing, the perspective expansion has to change all the time, so there are a lot more subjective shots, and the number of people in the same frame is decreasing.

This represents a signal that Tang Ze began to withdraw from the crowd and began to be different.

What he said next is confirmation: "I once had the opportunity to sail with Columbus, but I don't like taking risks."

He also explained that he moved because he was afraid that others would find out that he would not grow old.

This revealed that he was the person who had just been deduced to have lived for 10 years.

Everyone was quiet, Xu Zheng even laughed, as if he thought Tang Ze was joking.

Although Karasawa later added, "Just think of it as writing a science fiction novel," and deliberately made it funny to lighten the atmosphere.

But there is always an uneasy atmosphere in those laughters.

Afterwards, Karasawa began to talk about his experiences and demonstrate his vast knowledge, but these "knowledge" were actually just his memories.

Here is Karasawa’s long-shot monologue.

From here on, Tangze will slowly radiate his lonely mood, and when the close-up is on him, he will adjust the color to gray again and dim the lights appropriately.

Perhaps the atmosphere was in place. When Tang Ze explained the reason for revealing his identity, the loneliness he showed unknowingly infected everyone, and that sadness naturally appeared in every actor.

Just like his promise to everyone, he really understands loneliness.

"Click!"

At this point in the filming, Tangze shouted to stop again. He always felt that the impact was not enough. Although the loneliness and sadness were deepened due to his own characteristics, the emotional expression was not enough.

If he wants to create a true classic, it's not enough to just do it to the level of the original version. If he can't do it better with a group of veteran actors, he shouldn't be a director anymore.

So in order to enhance the impact, Tang Ze said to Xu Qing: "Teacher Xu, when the atmosphere arises, try to show that you shed tears unknowingly, and then show confusion and don't know why you are crying."
Xu Qing thought for a moment and nodded: "I'm going to do it."

She rubbed her eyes and began to brew her emotions.

After reshooting, when the lonely and sad atmosphere began to wash away, Xu Qing's tears dropped like pearls, and then she wiped them away doubtfully.

"Very good, this one passed!"

At the same time, Tang Ze was pleasantly surprised to find that Wu Qian over there seemed to be really infected by the atmosphere, and her eyes were a little red.

So Tangze simply added scenes of two female characters. In addition to Xu Qing crying, the red eyes of the other two women highlighted the atmosphere.

In the middle are some endless dialogues and actors’ emotional expressions, without scene changes.

However, in order not to leave Teacher Li Jianjian aside, his scenes need to be filmed in advance, and other dialogue scenes will be added later.
