Chapter 1113 First Class

Last month, southern Africa conducted its first census since 1908.

As expected, the Chinese have completely surpassed whites and Africans and become the largest ethnic group in southern Africa.

In order not to arouse public criticism, the federal government of Southern Africa did not announce a specific population ratio. In 1917, there were 21 million people in Southern Africa. This number also did not include Africans. Now federal governments at all levels are working hard to promote the migration of Africans.

There are no more than 6 million Africans in southern Africa, and they are still declining rapidly.

Before the outbreak of the world war, there were an estimated 5 million Africans in Southern Africa. After taking over South-West Africa and Tanganyika, the number of Africans in Southern Africa once increased to more than 10 million.

Southwest Africa is no longer called by this name. In official documents within Southern Africa, Southwest Africa was renamed "Dias" to commemorate Bartolomeu Dias, the first Portuguese to discover Walvis Bay.

.

Correspondingly, Tanganyika is no longer called Tanganyika, but "Victoria", which is named after Lake Victoria.

Prior to this, Dar es Salaam had been renamed "Saint George".

Millions of southern Africans now live in Dias and Victoria, and in the future Dias and Victoria will become an integral part of southern Africa.

In this census, among the eleven states in southern Africa, Nyasaland has become the state with the largest population in southern Africa, followed by Rhodesia, Transvaal, and then Bechuanaland and

Victoria, formerly the most populous Cape Town, has dropped to sixth place.

Not surprisingly, the state with the least population is Basutoland. You must know that in southern Africa, only whites and Chinese are eligible to be included in the statistics. Therefore, in Basutoland, which is dominated by Zulu people, in this census

The total population is actually only a pitiful 25,000 people, which is almost the same as the total population of southern Africa when the federal government was established.

In Nyasaland, there are many people like Li Tai. They are all working hard, living hard, and contributing to the development of Nyasaland. Now they are just starting out and have not yet become a real society.

Backbone, in ten years time, not to mention Nyasaland, the entire southern Africa will have undergone earth-shaking changes.

This trend is something that Hugo and Erwin Otto cannot understand for the time being. Hugo also has his own understanding on this issue.

"Yes, we only need to do our own thing well, which is the greatest contribution to the country, but often simple 'doing it well' cannot be done well-" Hu Ge sighed. Everyone knows that civil servants do not care about money, and military generals do not care about their lives.

, the world will be at peace, but it is as difficult as ascending to heaven.

What is even more terrifying are those careerists who are willing to launch wars to gain profits in the name of their country and nation. However, the world is often driven by these people, so it is hard to say whether this is right or wrong.

Just like Africa now, if there had not been the invasion of the colonists, then Africa might have always been in that primitive living state, and nothing would have changed in another 10,000 years.

However, the consequences of colonial invasion are also obvious. If there were not colonies all over the world, there would not be this world war.

"Li, can you introduce us to a good doctor? I want to check Emma's body." Erwin did not participate in the discussion of this issue. As a witness to the world war, Erwin is now firmly anti-war.

Or, even if the next world war happens, Erwin will definitely not participate.

"Of course you can. Los Angeles has the best hospital in the world, and our Nyasaland University has the best medical school in the world. When you get to Nyasaland, I will help you find the most skilled professors." Li Tai

Taking care of everything, they, the new generation of southern Africans, talk about being "the best in the world" at every turn. Their arrogance is indeed arrogance, but it also represents strong self-confidence and pride.

Erwin and Hugo never had this feeling. Even after the Franco-Prussian War, the Germans only believed that Germany had finally become stronger, and never believed that Germany could always be the best in the world.

But the southern Africa in front of us is so convincing. Whether it is the rapidly developing Walvis Bay or the confident Li Tai, Erwin and Hugo are all impressed. If it were Erwin and Hugo,

Ge is from southern Africa, so they have every reason to be proud.

Although they were in high spirits, several of them still exercised restraint, and each drank only a few drinks.

Erwin and Hugo noticed that Li Tai just showed his room card when paying the bill, and the bar manager enthusiastically sent Li Tai and the others out of the bar and onto the elevator. Erwin couldn't help but ask: "Do you know the bar?"

manager?"

It is worth introducing that the elevator in the Rhodesia Hotel is a real elevator, no longer the steam elevator of the past. The current power supply is actually not stable enough, but the hotel has its own generator, so there is no need to worry about power failure.

Li Tai laughed loudly: "How is it possible? It is also my first time to come to Walvis Bay. Our University of Nyasaland has an agreement with the Rhodesia Hotel. Public officials of Nyasaland University can enjoy the benefits when they spend money at the Rhodesia Hotel."

You can get a very high discount, and you don’t need to pay immediately. The school and the hotel will make settlements at regular intervals. As long as you have a letter of introduction from Nyasaland University, you can stay in all the hotels under the Rhodesian Group at any time.”

This explanation allowed Elwin and Hugo to fully understand the status of Nyasaland University in southern Africa.

After returning to the guest room and having a good sleep, Professor Heslin and his family boarded the train the next day.

There is a first-class cabin on long-distance trains. The first-class cabin is an entire carriage, and the fare is three times the total fare of all seats in the normal carriage. The service in the first-class cabin is of course perfect. There are dedicated waiters to serve the first-class passengers.

The fee is included in the ticket price and no tipping is required in addition to the ticket price.

Of course, if a passenger is satisfied with the waiter's service, the waiter will not refuse a tip.

Li Tai traveled around the world with a letter of introduction. He had not yet graduated and started working. He was short of money, so he was unable to tip.

This situation is normal, and the waiter will not treat you specially just because you don’t tip.

Unless those waiters are looking for death and dare to show their faces to first-class passengers, they must be impatient.

Germans actually have a tradition of tipping. After Li Tai explained the tipping culture in southern Africa to Professor Heslin and his family, Professor Heslin rarely expressed his agreement.

"This is the right thing to do. Tips should be given if you want to, and if you don't want to tip, don't give. Remuneration for service is already included in the salary of the service staff. You can't lower the standard of service just because you don't give tips. This culture is simply ugly.

." Professor Heslin made an impassioned speech. He did not realize that since he landed on the land of southern Africa, he has become more and more sympathetic to southern Africa.

The train was speeding along, obviously faster than the German trains, but it did not make people feel very bumpy, and the noise was smaller than the German trains. Professor Heslin and his family were curious about everything on the train. Professor Heslin was surprised.

On the train, there was actually the newspaper of the day to read, and Mrs. Heslin and Emma expressed their praise for the food provided in the first class cabin. Little Grete felt the most deeply and loved the various food provided in the first class cabin.

He stopped talking after getting in the car, so much so that Mrs. Heslin had to limit the number of snacks little Grete could eat.

The train passed through Windhoek and stopped at the station for ten minutes. The name of Windhoek has not yet been changed, and the German on the station sign was clearly visible. This made Professor Heslin couldn't help but feel sad.

The entire southwest Africa was once a German colony, but unfortunately it is now the Dias of Southern Africa.

Windhoek is a small city with a small population. In another time and space, Windhoek only had 230,000 people until 2014, which shows how sparsely populated it is.

Professor Heslin and his family didn't want to get out of the car, but Li Tai got out of the car and bought a handmade windmill for Little Grete to play with. The dark brown wooden handle was carefully polished, and then more than one coat of tung oil was applied to each fan blade of the windmill.

They were all made of colorful fabrics, and they would flow and flow when the wind blew. Little Grete couldn't put them down. This behavior made Professor Heslin very fond of them.

The comfortable and comfortable first-class cabin gave Professor Heslin and his family a whole new feeling. Although the professor is also very respected in Germany, he is not respected to this extent. Taking the first-class cabin in southern Africa is simply a pleasure, and the scenery along the railway is also impressive.

Professor Silin and his family were deeply impressed. Whether it was the endless prairie or the mountains stretching for hundreds of miles, they were all fascinating.

In addition to the magnificent natural landscapes, the abundance of wildlife in southern Africa astonished Professor Heslin and his family, including herds of wildebeest and zebra antelopes, African lions and cheetahs hiding in the jungle, and leisurely cows on the farm.

and sheep covering half of the hillside. This situation gave Otto great confidence. Now even without the help of Professor Abu, Otto is confident to survive in southern Africa.

Just kidding, even those Africans who are too lazy to move with snakes in their pants can thrive in Africa, and they can live a very comfortable life with a little diligence.

However, on this issue, Li Tai still suggested that Otto go to Nyasaland to have a look, maybe he would gain something new.

"There are more wild animals in Nyasaland than here?" Otto asked.

"No, there are very few wild animals in Nyasaland now. There are farms everywhere, and even the barren hills are full of fruit trees. The reason I want you to go to Nyasaland is because Nyasaland has completely different characteristics.

Different charms, you have to be with people who are outstanding enough to become even better." Li Tai highly praised Nyasaland, which is also the sentiment of many Nyasaland people.

: It was really a fight, and half of the community was alarmed. The eldest sister’s family came and were cursing in the street - I’ll go listen for a while and report to the brothers at six o’clock -
