Let's talk about Yun-8.

Someone in the chapter criticized me, saying that I should not slander the domestic military industry, and that the Y-8 and its prototype An-12 are not as bad as I said.

Okay, let me talk about this issue.

First let’s talk about the domestic military industry.

In recent years, Rabbit has carried out various major construction projects and equipped its troops with a large number of advanced equipment on land, sea and air. These achievements cannot be denied.

But if you want to say that Rabbit’s military-industrial companies are all excellent, I really don’t agree with that.

There are good ones and there are rubbish ones.

For example, Lockheed Martin has mastered the J-10 and then the J-20, which is really awesome.

But what about Shen Hoy? Apart from making various modifications to the Su-27 series, what have they done? After so many years of modification, they still haven’t fully understood it. Not long ago, a pilot crashed and died while flying a J-15. It is said that they failed to control the flight control. The defects in it are fixed.

When selecting the fourth-generation aircraft, Shen Hoy also submitted his own plan. The prototype of this plan can even be seen in Shen Hoy's external publicity. That plan was a joke and almost became ours. T-50'.

Except for Shen Hoy, our small arms are also a piece of shit. There are too many dark places in them.

In fact, there is nothing mysterious about the basic design of small arms. The key lies in whether there is care in production. We have produced rifles of the same model from different factories, but the magazines are not universal. We have also produced the bolt of a bolt-action sniper rifle. The problem of having trouble pulling out.

Don't think this is a difficult technique.

Even the lowest private enterprises in Jiangsu and Zhejiang would not make this kind of shoddy mistake in machining, because if they make such a mistake, they will immediately lose orders and they will not be able to survive.

This kind of bad thing happened because of the garbage management of the factory. It is shocking.

Don't tell me that the military industry across the country is great. Despite its reputation, it's hard to live up to it. There's rubbish everywhere.

Let’s go back to Yun-8.

Let’s talk about the prototype of the Y-8, the An-12. The prototype of this transport aircraft is the An-10 that was eliminated by the Soviet civil aviation..., a passenger aircraft.

The Antonov Design Bureau modified the rear fuselage and tail of the An-10, transforming a passenger aircraft that was not even accepted by civilian aviation into a military An-12.

Are you telling me that the An-12 has a strong field take-off capability? Stop being ridiculous, okay?

Compared with the C-130, the An-12 is scum.

The C-130's field take-off and landing capabilities are recognized around the world. It can even take off and land on earthen surfaces without runways without any leveling work.

The An-12 and Yun-8 do not have short take-off and landing capabilities at all, because their prototypes are passenger planes. They are passenger planes!

The take-off distance of the C-130 without a load is less than 500 meters, and the take-off distance with a heavy load is only a thousand meters. Moreover, the C-130 has completed experiments on taking off and landing on an aircraft carrier, which shows that the C-130 is durable and durable.

Try switching to An-12 and Yun-8? Can it withstand the violent pull of the catapult and arresting cable? Does the minimum speed meet the requirements for aircraft carrier takeoff and landing?

The C-130 has a large wing, a small wing load, and the lowest speed can even reach 185 kilometers per hour. What does this mean? It means that the C-130 can be converted into a tanker to refuel helicopters.

Can the An-12/Yun-8 with a minimum speed of 248 kilometers per hour do this job? No, it will crash because of insufficient speed.

The U.S. military has used the C-130 for decades and has always regarded it as the main frontline tactical transport aircraft and is irreplaceable. This honor is not a fluke.

As for the An-12, the Soviet army itself disliked it. It was retired from service in the 1970s and was basically replaced by the IL-76.

As for the Rabbit's Luck-8, let me put it bluntly, it is a poor imitation of the An-12. The An-12 is bad enough, but the Luck-8 is even worse.

Compared with the An-12, the early version of the Y-8 has an empty weight of four tons more, a maximum fuel load of five tons less, a maximum load of 2.5 tons less, a range of 500 kilometers less at the maximum load, and a maximum cruising speed of 120 kilometers per hour. These shortcomings

It took nearly twenty years to correct it.

The number of Y-8s that Rabbit has built over the years is too small. This is certainly related to the national defense strategy. But there is really nothing good to build for such a bad aircraft.

Rabbit's military products range from excellent to poor.

If you ask me to praise the Y-8, I really can’t say it out loud. Anyway, it’s just a copy, and I might as well have copied the C-130.

If you have different opinions, please feel free to comment!
