Chapter 324: The reluctant and forbearing Sun Quan

Speaking of imperial poems, what the world can think of is two words: domineering. In the same period, Cao Cao's "The Turtle Sustains Life" said "The old man is in trouble, and his ambition is thousands of miles";

When Liu Bang, the great ancestor of the Han Dynasty, spoke of it, this pride turned into the arrogance of "the wind is blowing and the clouds are flying", which can be said to be quite powerful. But even Liu Bang like this had his moments of cowardice.

This is the most cowardly imperial poem in history. Liu Bang, who had been in power for half his life, originally agreed to his beloved concubine, Madam Qi, and wanted to replace the prince Liu Ying with Madam Qi's son Liu Ruyi. However, due to the perseverance of Queen Lu Pheasant and the power of Liu Ying,

I always wanted to change but didn't dare. So when Mrs. Qi was dancing for me, I wrote this poem, firstly to give the other party an explanation, and also to persuade the other party to let it go.

Both of them are his sons, and Liu Bang couldn't express his desire to change to the crown prince too directly, so the whole poem uses puns, using the swan as a metaphor to express his helplessness.

The first four lines of the poem, "The swan flies high and flies thousands of miles" alludes to the prince Liu Ying. At this time, Liu Ying has full wings and can fly thousands of miles like a soaring wild goose. It is no longer within his control; and crossing the world refers to Liu Ying.

Ying is already the prince who has been accepted by the world for a long time. This is a fact that has been established and it is difficult to change.

I have to say that even if it is a helpless statement, as an emperor, Liu Bang's words and sentences are still quite impressive.

Next, the poet repeated the four words "crossing the world", chanted repeatedly, and added the rhetorical question "what can be done" to express the pain in his heart.

This poem was written to Mrs. Qi. After setting the facts in the first few sentences, Liu Bang raised this question with good intentions, and Mrs. Qi was also aware of the current situation.

The last two sentences refer to the fact that even if he holds a sharp arrow, he can't do anything against the opponent. The poet once again returns to the swan that flies thousands of miles, echoing the opening sentence. After reciting this poem, Liu Bang left angrily, leaving Mrs. Qi alone injured.

pregnant.

Liu Bang wanted to say it but couldn't. Liu Bang, who had conquered the world and ruled for half his life, had nothing to do with his wife and children in the end. This is really sad.

Comparing it with the song "Song of the Great Wind" when he first established the world, it is even more emotional. Cao Cao also felt a similar helplessness when he established the world. He did not want this helplessness to continue on his own body.

After hearing Sun Quan recite this sad poem, Pan Shu advised: "Your Majesty, you don't have to worry so much. You were able to bring down Prime Minister Lu before, and now you are also the one who can decide the crown prince. You will not be like Han Gaozu and Cao Cao."

Usually they are coerced by courtiers and have no choice but to compromise."

Cao Cao's sudden decision left Cao Zhi confused, but he felt an inexplicable sense of relief in his heart after being hollowed out.

He just regretted hurting his father, and he felt sorry for his friends who spoke for him.

After Cao Cao calmed down, he felt that Zijian's behavior was unbelievable. Maybe he had something to hide?

And slandering Cao Zhang? Cao Zhang himself didn't agree, because Cao Zhang obviously supported Cao Zhi, but it was a foregone conclusion.

Cao Cao issued a "Prince Establishment Order", saying that he always considered Cao Pi, aiming to eliminate Cao Pi's hatred towards Cao Zhi.

But the fact is that Cao Cao is considering more than one candidate for the crown prince. Among Cao Cao's twenty-five sons, there are four candidates who have appeared in Cao Cao's field of vision: Cao Ang, Cao Chong, Cao Pi, and Cao Zhi.

There are at least two candidates who are most suitable to be the crown prince, Cao Ang, the eldest son of the royal wife, Mrs. Liu, and Cao Chong, the son of Mrs. Huan.

Cao Pi was Cao Cao's second son. After Cao Ang's death, Cao Cao planned to pass the throne to his younger brother Cao Chong.

Cao Chong was a child prodigy. When he was five or six years old, his intelligence was already "as good as that of an adult." He was also kind-hearted and loving by nature. He often tried to find ways to avoid mistakes he made inadvertently.

He was favored by Cao Cao, but Cao Chong fell ill and died at the age of thirteen.

After his death, Cao Cao once said to Cao Pi: "Cao Chong's death is my misfortune, but it is your great fortune."

Later, Cao Pi often told people: "If Cao Chong is still alive, I will not be the crown prince."

After Cao Chong's death, the only two people who could meaningfully compete for the heir apparent were Cao Pi and Cao Zhi.

Soon, Cao Pi and his mother-brother Cao Zhi came to prominence for their romantic literary talent, and were deeply loved by Cao Cao. So a battle broke out between the brothers Cao Pi and Cao Zhi, but in any case, with Cao Zhi's character, he could not win the battle for the crown prince.

, the ending was doomed from the beginning,

It's just that Cao Mengde valued Cao Zhi's talent for writing poems too much, and pushed Cao Zhi into this fight, which hurt him. In the end, Cao Mengde saw that he couldn't do anything about it, so he acted like this, hoping to appease him.

Cao Pi also protected Cao Zhi,

In order to appease Cao Zhi, while making Cao Pi the crown prince, he also added 5,000 households to Cao Zhi, making him the only "Marquis of Ten Thousand Households" among the Cao family's children.

All this made Cao Pi, who was overjoyed at first, become cautious. He realized that his father was constantly changing and he was not the most satisfactory candidate. Zijian was still his father's favorite.

At this time, Cao Cao gave Cao Zhi an opportunity to make a great contribution: to rescue Cao Ren, who was besieged by Guan Yu and stationed in Xiangfan. This was Cao Zhi's dream. He actively prepared and was ready for the southern expedition at any time.

After hearing the news, Prince Cao Pi expressed his intention to cheer for Cao Zhi and bid farewell to him. He also invited Zhen Mi to toast him.

He was full of apologies for this elder brother - regarding the issue of competing for the crown prince and his relationship with Zhen Mi. At this time, facing his elder brother's warm words and kind words, Cao Zhi was inexplicably moved.

However, Cao Zhi didn't understand why the wine was so high that day. The sky was bright and the soldiers and horses were lined up, just waiting for the order from Marquis Linzi, but he fell down.

Cao Zhi completely lost his father's trust and the opportunity to become the prince.

What he didn't know was that for the rest of his life, he would no longer have the chance to fight on the battlefield in his dreams.

After Cao Cao's death, when only Cao Zhang and Cao Zhi were by his side, his brother Cao Zhang, who had always supported Cao Zhi, said something shocking:

"Before the death of the late king, he summoned me to Luoyang to see him. This is because he wanted to make you the crown prince."

As long as Cao Zhi agrees, it is still possible.

Cao Zhi replied almost without thinking: Didn't you see the Yuan brothers?

It turns out that in his own mind, he also believed that the prince should be Cao Pi. Now the situation in Jiangdong is not much different from this. Although the prince has already decided,

But because he was pushing the situation behind the scenes and constantly shaking the foundation of the prince, many people were staring at the throne of the prince and salivating.

Sun Quan looked at Pan Shu in his arms tenderly and nodded: "I have worked hard and endured for so many years. I have been hindered many times when I wanted to stand up. After a while, it will be time to make some counterattacks. I hope that some of the generals who are going on the expedition can

When I return successfully next year, I will be able to make almost all the preparations I need to make."

Pan Shu said: "Your Majesty, please be at ease. With the strategies of several generals, we will definitely be victorious. I recently asked the dancer in the palace to teach me a few dances. I will dance for you now. But your Majesty, don't dislike my dancing."

It’s not good.”
