Thoughts at the end of volume one

This book is the first book I have successfully signed. Although it doesn’t look very good, it is indeed a milestone for me.

It has been five months since the beginning, and I have written 410,000 words, including manuscripts.

To be honest, I feel satisfied. Instead of comparing with others, I compare myself with myself, and I can really feel the obvious progress.

I'm not a professional writer, just an amateur hobby. I'm not familiar with many routines, let alone the systematic use of deconstruction of online writing, what writing formulas, Snyder's fifteen-meter meter, and character arcs.

I have heard it before, but this is really my first time to apply it seriously and write it.

However, the writing becomes crooked as I write it, and I still have the problem of writing whatever I want. Now I am in an awkward stage.

As for the outline, I wrote it seriously for a long time at first. After a few months, I looked back and found that 90% of it was rubbish. I basically wrote it all from scratch.

The signing of this book was a great surprise.

Because, after only writing two chapters, the website became short.

That's right, it's the first three chapters that people criticized every day.

Therefore, for a long time, the editor's approval was my only motivation to continue writing.

In addition, there are many, many problems, both in the book and in reality, especially in December last year. For well-known reasons, this book was directly thrown into hell.

To be honest, I felt quite sad at the time, because the force majeure factors were too strong, and I once thought about giving up.

But looking at the outline I had written, I thought about it and gritted my teeth and continued writing.

When signing the contract, I filled in an estimated one million words, and before I knew it, I had already completed 40% of it.

I'm glad that I persisted and learned a lot.

——————

I actually read Red Mansions fanfiction very early. I read one about ten years ago with an imaginary protagonist. In the end, the single heroine married Daiyu and they ended up together.

The male protagonist’s style is quite martial arts.

That book is a bit simple, and it basically doesn’t use the settings in Red Mansions. Baochai and others are either completely passers-by, or they don’t appear at all.

Later, I read a few books with Jia Baoyu as the male protagonist, and I felt that something was wrong no matter how I read them.

It wasn’t until Fengchuliang Master’s Red Mansion series outside the house that it completely opened a door for me.

Not to mention anything else, the master really played the Red Mansion over and over again, and even Kang, Yong, and Qian were completely ignored by him.

I remember that the master once wrote a testimonial in a book, saying that he loved writing garden operas.

I didn't understand it at the time. What bothered me the most at that time was the garden drama, which I felt was just a waste of words.

It wasn’t until I wrote it today that I understood what the master meant.

He really put himself into it, so the garden opera was written smoothly. For him, writing the garden opera was a kind of relaxation.

Writing to his level is already a realm.

Although, to this day, I still feel that the word count is really low.

Not even a little bit...

But the problem is, this is a dilemma.

Unless the person is very familiar and can achieve the level of ease, the author's character creation must be carried out through a large number of descriptions and interactions. Sometimes when writing, he will unconsciously gravitate towards the category of water, but for the author,

This is a process of continuously deepening the understanding of the characters.

Of course, water is also a very real problem that directly affects an author's KPI.

This is often reflected in some full-time authors. I am afraid that only great masters like Squid can escape the situation.

Back to the plot.

The earliest concept of this book was when I watched the video of Professor Cai Danjun from Renmin University of China on the Xiaopo website about the Yuan Chun wedding ceremony, which gave me the initial entry point.

If this provincial relative is really so "terrible to think about", I am a member of the Jia family, what can I do?

Hence the title of this book.

——————

About the protagonist.

Regarding the choice of protagonists, Jia Huan and Jia Qiang have both been used by the great god Feng Chuliang outside the house, and they are both figures who can become gods.

Subconsciously, the character Jialan popped up in my mind.

In fact, in addition to Jia Baoyu, there is another man in the Jia family who has experienced the rise and fall of the Jia family from beginning to end, and that is Jia Lan.

Of course, the problem is also obvious.

Seniority, age.

As for age, I can only choose to make assumptions about it, because if I insist on sticking to the original version, in Chapter 77, Jialan was 13 years old and Daiyu was 5 years older. The other Miaoyu and Qingwen were much older.

.

As for seniority.

I checked "Annotation of Zhu Xi's Collection of Family Rites", and it seems that it is not clear that you cannot marry an elder (if any readers find clear words, please comment)

Later, I checked the "History of Chinese Marriage", and it seemed that there was no clear word about not marrying an elder.

At that time, I thought, if it really didn’t work out, the worst possible outcome would be to fly away.

So Jia Lan settled on it.

Anyway, if it can’t be rounded out, it’s better to be empty.

——————

About the heroine.

Daiyu is of course the well-deserved first heroine. This was decided from the beginning, so readers can rest assured.

In fact, regarding the treatment of the heroine, I prefer to shape Daiyu into a person who can progress with the protagonist in all aspects, rather than just a delicate and beautiful flower that is cared for and raised in a boudoir.
p>

I have always believed that everyone has pursuits, even those who live in the Grand View Garden have pursuits.

Lin Daiyu's somewhat flat mentality is more due to her frail body. As long as her body is well-conditioned, Daiyu can do a lot.

Let her help the protagonist write a book, which is my attempt.

Based on Lin's talent, I'm afraid that in this world, Lin should be a great writer who can be ranked alongside Shakespeare (laughing).

Therefore, I have embedded a few other books a little selfishly, such as "Knowledge" that you have already seen, because these female characters are all self-improving. Compared with the male protagonist, they are constantly cheating outside, wandering all the way and then returning home.

Just bragging. I hope to create a group of female protagonists who can support each other with the male protagonist.

At present, in addition to "Do You Know", I have also written "Jade Heart".

In the early years, I read a lot of urban entertainment articles, and I had a feeling that a single female protagonist would lead to collapse, but multiple female protagonists would be more likely to collapse.

In my current setting, this book will not be a super-large harem. There should be no more than five heroines in the center. To be honest, if there are more than ten, I will just do some brand-turning activities every day.

I feel very boring myself.

Once there are more people, I think that with my current ability, I will not be able to control a super large harem. In the end, it will definitely be the same and boring.

As for Qin Keqing, I think she gradually became spiritual.

To be honest, except for "The Lord of Mysteries", I haven't read any fairy tale novels for a long time, so I'm afraid I just wrote whatever I wanted about Qin Keqing's design, so I can only say that you can just read it as it is.

But you can rest assured that Qin Keqing will definitely not be written as "cute Arrodes".

That’s it for the nagging, I’ll start updating the second volume tomorrow.

Finally, I would like to thank all my friends who have been giving me monthly votes and recommendation votes. Your support is my motivation to continue writing.
