Chapter three hundred and ninety sixth

Scorched earth mixed with dark red blood appeared at the feet of the brothers. The smoke after the explosion covered the sky, and the brothers stepped into the dark battlefield.

A few days ago, the Chinese defenders at Luowang Station fought a bloody battle with the attacking Japanese troops. Although they finally lost, the land was filled with their blood.

The broken limbs and bones on the roadside were already rotting and smelly. The dirty gray military uniforms they wore could vaguely identify them as dead Chinese soldiers. Yang Ling judged that they were very close to Luowang Station.

"Snapped!"

"boom!"

Just as Yang Ling ordered the troops to march in battle formation, suddenly there was a sudden burst of gunfire from the front, both from the Japs' 38 rifles and from their own 79 rifles.

Yang Ling waved his hand to the exhausted brothers to stop. He took out his binoculars and looked forward. From a distance, he saw the reconnaissance platoon coming forward exchanging fire with a group of Japanese cavalry.

"Lie down and take cover, load the bullets!" Yang Ling shouted immediately when he saw dozens of Japanese cavalry rushing towards him.

Now that they were on this open plain, their two legs couldn't outrun the four-legged cavalry. Besides, the brothers were sleepy and tired. They wouldn't be able to run very far before they would be overtaken and beheaded by the Japanese cavalry.

Yang Ling was ready to kill the enemy cavalry on the spot. After receiving the order, the brothers dispersed without any hesitation, and there was a sound of gun bolts being pulled around.

The ground shook slightly, smoke and dust rose in the distance, and the bloody reconnaissance platoon brothers ran back in embarrassment under the leadership of Shunzi. The dozens of Japanese cavalry following them also noticed that they were lying in the wilderness.

Yang Ling and others inside.

When these dozens of Japanese cavalrymen saw Yang Ling and the others lying in the wilderness, they were stunned for a moment, then quickly kicked the horses in the belly with their legs and rushed over in a majestic manner.

The reason why this group of cavalry came out early in the morning to conduct reconnaissance was because they received reports that about a regiment of Chinese troops were heading towards Luowang Station, and the captain sent them out to conduct reconnaissance.

But I didn't expect that not far from Luowang Station, I would collide with the reconnaissance platoon led by Shunzi. It would be a nightmare to encounter the cavalry in this unobstructed plain area.

Seeing that the situation was not good, Shunzi immediately turned around and ran away with the brothers in the reconnaissance platoon. Even so, some brothers who were running slowly were hit by lances and trampled to a pulp by the cavalry who overtook them.

Seeing the arrogant Japanese cavalry chasing Shunzi and the others, the brothers who were lying on the ground holding guns were breathing heavily.

Although I usually think that the cavalry is nothing special, but seeing the tall horses and the Japanese soldiers charging at them with their bright sabers, the pressure is almost suffocating. Many people feel frightened and their guns are a little unsteady. This is

Human beings have a fear of ferocious beasts.

These Japanese cavalrymen did not take Yang Ling and others seriously at all. In this flat field, Yang Ling and other infantrymen were their living targets. As long as they were dispersed, these Chinese soldiers would become the targets of their slaughter.

The rumble of horses' hooves was like a rhythmic drum beating the hearts of the brothers. In the filled smoke, dozens of cavalry seemed to be crushing over with thunderous momentum.

"Steady! Steady!"

Yang Ling's calm voice kept reminding the brothers that they were worried that their psychological defenses would be broken by the oppressive momentum. If they encountered the cavalry on a flat place, not many of them would be able to withstand the oncoming pressure.

"Fire in row! Fire in the first company!" Yang Ling's order rang in the ears of the brothers, and the brothers in the first company subconsciously pulled the trigger.

"Bang, bang, bang -" a row of hot bullets whizzed out and penetrated fiercely into the cavalry formation. In response, more than a dozen Japanese cavalrymen fell off their horses, sending up large amounts of smoke and dust.

These Japanese cavalrymen had good horse control skills. When they saw the cavalrymen in front falling off their horses, they flexibly rode around them without causing much confusion.

The Japanese cavalry lieutenant raised his sharp saber with a ferocious look on his face: "Kill Gaigai!"

"The second company is ready! Aim at the horses! Fire!" Facing the Japanese cavalry rushing over at high speed, Yang Ling gave the order decisively.

This time, the brothers aimed at horses with a bigger target. The brothers' accuracy was better. As the dull gunfire rang out, the war horses were beaten into a hornet's nest, and their heads burst out with plasma. For a while, the war horses kept neighing and thrashing.

overturned and fell to the ground.

The Japanese soldiers on horseback were also caught off guard by this sudden turn of events. They were thrown off their horses one by one and fell into confusion. The Japanese cavalry team was suddenly in chaos.

Before the Japanese cavalry could react, strings of white-smoking grenades had fallen between them.

"Boom!"

"ah!"

There was a violent explosion, flying pieces of steel and iron pieces flying everywhere, and the Japanese cavalry was suddenly reduced to a pot of gruel, shrouded in scorching gunpowder smoke.

"Fix the bayonet! Charge me!"

Yang Ling naturally seized the opportunity and swarmed forward with his brothers. The Japanese soldiers who were twisting, twitching and wailing on the ground saw that the situation was not good and wanted to run away, but the bayonets were already pierced.

Yang Ling's bayonet sank into the heart of a Japanese soldier, killing him quickly. A Japanese cavalryman who was still riding a horse raised his sword and struck him.

Yang Ling felt a strong wind blowing towards him. He tilted his head and narrowly avoided the attack of the Japanese cavalryman. He reached out and grabbed his calf and yanked hard. The unsteady Japanese soldier fell off his horse before he could wait.

After getting up, Yang Ling stepped forward and wiped off his neck. The thick blood sprayed out covered his face.

The arrogant and domineering Japanese cavalry expected that the situation on the battlefield would take a turn for the worse. Instead, they were massacred. The few remaining Japanese cavalry turned around and ran away. When they saw these murderous masters, they still dared to fight, so they hurried back to report the serious situation.

"Wang Beard, don't let them escape!" Yang Ling shouted anxiously when he saw the Japanese were about to run away.

Wang Huzi immediately called on his brothers to raise their guns and shoot at the Japanese soldiers who were galloping away on horseback. Although the brothers were not sharpshooters, their marksmanship was not bad. The Japanese cavalrymen who were escaping soon fell off their horses one by one and died.

The battle started hurriedly and ended quickly. Dozens of Japanese soldiers were all wiped out in the blink of an eye. Looking at the corpses of the Japanese soldiers lying on the ground, the brothers couldn't believe it was them. This battle was so vicious.

When did the Japs become so weak?

"Brothers who can ride horses, raise your hands!" Yang Ling knew that the gunfire must have alerted the Japanese soldiers at Luowang Station, so he did not hesitate and immediately deployed his actions.

More than thirty brothers who were able to ride a horse stood up with cheers, and Yang Ling asked them to take off the equipment of the Japanese cavalry and put them on.

The clothes and pants of the Japanese soldiers were all dripping with blood, and the brothers didn't care. They quickly pulled them off and put them on themselves. In a blink of an eye, they turned into Japanese soldiers wearing steel helmets and yellow dog skins.

"Old company commander, you lead them to pretend to be defeated Japanese soldiers and rush into the station. Let's take the station in one go!"

Yang Ling called Lao Yanqiang and handed him the assault task. Lao Yanqiang, wearing a Japanese steel helmet crookedly, looked like a defeated army, and agreed wholeheartedly.

Now Yang Ling didn't care to check how many Japanese soldiers were stationed in the station, he wanted to fight them first.

Lao Yanqiang led more than 30 embarrassed "Japanese soldiers" to retreat to Luowang Station. Yang Ling and others pursued behind them with their guns raised. They quickly approached the station.

"The Chinese, the Chinese are coming! Get ready to fight!" The Japanese soldiers who were on alert when they heard the gunshots saw their cavalry being chased and beaten, and immediately jumped into the bunker to prepare to cover the retreat of the friendly cavalry.
