Chapter 706 Guerrilla Cadre Training Class

After the Wuhan Battle, the Military Commission formulated the "General Plan for the Reorganization of the National Defense Forces" and proposed a new training plan and combat plan based on the combat situation with the Japs in the past year.

Reviewing the gains and losses of the first phase of the Anti-Japanese War and the new situation faced, the National Defense Forces decided on the operational policy of using one-third of the troops to fight frontally, one-third to fight behind enemy lines to contain the Japanese, and one-third to take turns training.

At the same time, it was decided to recruit one million new recruits across the country for training and replenish units with greater losses. During the training process, the training of officers will be strengthened to improve their political ideology, fighting will and command capabilities.

Because the Chinese *** team has been fighting hard against the Japs on the frontal battlefield in the past year and has not paid enough attention to the combat containment behind enemy lines.

Now a war zone behind enemy lines has been established. Since General Xuezhong serves as the commander, battlefields have been opened behind enemy lines such as the Dabie Mountains and Northern Jiangsu. There are currently three group armies.

But after all, these troops are engaged in positional warfare and large-corps operations all year round. Although they were deployed behind enemy lines, due to the inflexible command and rigid combat ideas, the containment effect was minimal, and they suffered greater losses.

In view of this situation, Chongqing decided to learn from its friendly parties. The two parties jointly established a guerrilla cadre training class in Hengshan, Nanyue, and transferred military and political cadres from various theaters to study, thus changing the passive situation of combat in theaters behind enemy lines.

Chongqing attaches great importance to the organization of this guerrilla training. It is directly under the jurisdiction of the Military Commission, and the chairman of the committee personally serves as the director. The chief of education, deputy director and others are all well-known senior officials.

Each war zone and each unit selects and recommends school-level and lieutenant-level officers according to quotas, and recommends some trainees in each province and county, and also recruits some high school graduates.

Yang Ling was not successfully promoted to deputy brigade commander, but as compensation, the division also recommended him to the Nanyue guerrilla cadre training class, hoping that he could be gold-plated.

Shortly after Yang Ling returned to the regiment, a formal notice was issued. In addition to Yang Ling, Wang Huzi and Blacksmith were also on the list.

"What kind of guerrilla are you learning? Can you beat the enemy's aircraft and artillery with a small fight? I think it's just a fool's errand..."

When he learned that he had been selected to study in the Nanyue Guerrilla Cadre Training Class, Wang Huzi was extremely reluctant. In his eyes, this was no different from being sent to the frontier.

After all, the 74th Army is now thriving and has become a general reserve force directly under the Central Military Commission. Its weapons, equipment and combat effectiveness of its officers and soldiers have been given priority. As long as they work hard, the future will be bright.

But now that he was sent to the guerrilla training class, wouldn't it mean that when he graduates, he would go to fight guerrillas behind enemy lines, which is dangerous and has no future, so he was full of complaints in his heart.

"Tour leader, let's go talk to the teacher about whoever you like can go. Anyway, I don't want to go." The blacksmith also had a sad face.

He dares to fight and charge without fear of death. He doesn't frown even if there are mountains of swords and seas of fire in front of him. However, going to study makes him feel discouraged.

When Yang Ling asked the literate brothers in the regiment to help them as officers, the painful experience of being asked to learn how to read and write was still vivid in his mind. Going to the training class now would have suffocated people to death.

"Tuanzuo, don't go either. I think there is someone behind this, and we can't be fooled." Although Liu Yidao and the others were not selected, they still stood up for Yang Ling's injustice.

They originally thought that Yang Ling could be promoted to deputy brigade commander, but instead of being promoted to deputy brigade commander after returning from the division, they went to a training class they had never heard of. They all felt that Yang Ling was worthless.

"Let's write a joint letter to the division commander together. Even Zhang Qingyun, who is so stupid, can be transferred to the division headquarters. Why can't our regiment commander be the deputy brigade commander..." Qin Shou also followed suit.

Seeing these noisy brothers, Yang Ling was moved and had to stop their reckless actions.

"Stop arguing. We are soldiers and it is our duty to obey orders."

The master did not issue the notice directly, but went to talk to him first, and the matter was already explained very clearly.

In just one year, he was promoted from second lieutenant platoon commander to colonel commander. Although he had military exploits, the speed was still a bit fast. If he wanted to be promoted to major general brigade commander, he probably still lacked the qualifications.

After all, there are a lot of officers who have graduated from various military academies in the 74th Army. Even if he, a grassroots man without a military academy background, is promoted to deputy brigade commander, it will be the end.

Now the division has asked him to study in the guerrilla cadre training class, just to make his resume look better, and he has become a disciple of the Emperor.

At least when I get promoted in the future, I won't dare to gossip, which can be regarded as clearing a big obstacle for future promotions. This is called retreating to advance.

"Teacher, that guy Zhang Qingyun must have said bad things about you behind the teacher's back, otherwise why would he let you go to some Laoshizi guerrilla training class..." Liu Yidao and the others were still aggrieved.

Yang Ling looked at the brothers who were thinking about him and said with a smile: "Do you really think this guerrilla training class is useless? Do you know who is the director and who is the deputy director?"

"Who is it?" the blacksmith asked curiously, and the brothers stretched their necks, waiting for Yang Ling to answer.

Yang Ling pointed to the sky and said: "The commissioner is the director, Chief Chen Cheng and Deputy Chief of General Staff Bai Chongxi are the deputy directors, Chief Tang Enbo is the chief of education..."

Blacksmith and the others initially sneered at this unfamiliar guerrilla cadre training class, but when they heard what Yang Ling said, they suddenly took a breath of cold air.

Those officers from Huangpu all call themselves students in front of the Chairman, which is an enviable honor for them.

They did not have the ability or qualifications to be admitted to Huangpu and become the emperor's disciples, so they could only envy them.

But now as long as they enter this training class, they have become the emperor's disciples. This huge change makes them shocked and speechless for a moment.

"Is there anything you don't want to go now?"

Yang Ling looked at Wang Huzi and the blacksmith who were still shouting not to go with a half-smile.

"Hey, since it's the commander's order, we as soldiers naturally have to obey it." Wang Huzi said immediately with a smile, feeling happy in his heart.

"You are so thick-skinned -" Liu Yidao scolded with a smile, but his eyes were full of envy.

Yang Ling wanted all these brothers to study. Through systematic study, it would be good to improve their command and combat capabilities even if they were not aiming to become disciples of the emperor.

But unfortunately, the number of places is limited, and the officers in the regiment cannot be gone all at once. Someone has to look after them.

"Don't forget me when you get rich in the future." Shunzi beat Wang Huzi's chest and said with a smile.

Wang Huzi smiled and said: "Am I that kind of person? I must not forget my brothers."

"Okay, don't be envious. This time, the three of us will go to the road first. I heard that this guerrilla cadre training course is only the first phase. You should lead the brothers in the regiment to train and don't slack off. Wait for the second phase.

The third phase will definitely recruit people soon, and you all will have a chance."

Yang Ling's words immediately made Liu Yidao and the others who were not selected feel a lot more comfortable. Just because they were not selected, it did not mean that they would not be able to go in the future.

"When I'm not in the regiment, Liu Yidao, please let me take charge of the regiment. If anything happens, discuss it with Shunzi, Battalion Commander Chen and the others. Train well and don't create any trouble for me..."

"Team members, you can go with peace of mind. As long as I'm here, I guarantee that the brothers will be trained to screams!" Liu Yidao also patted his chest and promised.
