Eight hundred and seventieth chapters stalemate battlefield

The war was raging and smoke filled the air. More than a dozen villages and towns outside Gaoyou City had been reduced to ruins. Layers of corpses covered the fields and ditches, extending to the foot of Gaoyou City.

The first line of guerrilla troops in the Sulu theater, led by Major General Ma Yuren, fought bloody battles with the Japanese garrison in Gaoyou for several days.

Although there were only a few hundred Japanese and more than a thousand puppet troops guarding Gaoyou, they had solid fortifications and bunkers.

Moreover, there were swarms of aircraft, bombers, and fighter jets in the sky to assist in the battle. The bloody battle for several days caused heavy losses to the guerrilla forces.

The smoke of gunfire and the burning debris in the ruins made the sky dark. The frantic officers and soldiers could no longer tell the time. Every time the charge horn sounded, they dragged their hungry and exhausted bodies forward.

Most of the strongholds and positions outside the Japanese city were chewed down by the guerrilla officers and soldiers, but they also paid a heavy price. In front of those bunkers, corpses were piled on top of each other.

"Boom...boom...boom!"

A series of artillery shells exploded in the ruins, and countless broken rubble and remains were exploded, flying in all directions.

A group of ragged guerrilla officers and soldiers retreated in embarrassment under the pursuit of artillery shells. The whizzing bullets kept popping out of the smoke behind them, spraying streams of blood on their bodies.

"cover!"

Veteran Luo Feng's face was already covered with sticky blood and mud. When he saw the attacking brothers retreating under the pursuit of artillery shells, he roared and put a rifle on the trench.

A group of tired-looking guerrilla brothers who were resting close to each other in the trench also jumped up one after another, leaned sideways against the trench on the side facing the Japanese, and stretched out their rifles one after another.

"Run both ways! Don't block us!"

All the junior officers in this trench were dead, and veteran Luo Feng became the leader of this group of skirmishers. As a veteran, he was experienced and could barely take on the commanding responsibilities.

The brothers who retreated in embarrassment saw the dark muzzle of the gun in front of them. After hearing the roar, they were stunned for a moment and then dispersed to both sides.

A group of ghosts and soldiers who looked like ghosts and humans, like they crawled out of a garbage dump, suddenly rushed out of the smoke that obscured the battlefield and appeared in Luo Feng's field of vision.

The little devils have been surrounded for several days, rolling and fighting in the mud with the guerrilla officers and soldiers all day long. They no longer have the arrogance, but they look like a group of beggars, but their fierce eyes show that they are still strong in combat.

.

"Hold on!"

Seeing the little Japs constantly emerging from the smoke, veteran Luo Feng's hand holding the rifle was sweating.

All the officers in their trench had already died for their country. They all fell on the way to charge. In this trench, there were now more than thirty people from five different companies.

He has to avenge these brothers who are still alive. When he was a leader in the past, he only had to charge and kill the enemy, but now he has to learn to command and lead his brothers to survive on the cruel battlefield.

"Two hundred meters away!"

A brother loaded the gun with a loud clatter, and the gun was already aimed at the Japanese who were rushing forward, loudly reminding Luo Feng.

"One hundred meters!"

"Only sixty meters left!"

The enemy's bullets were already flying over. Some brothers' heads exploded like watermelons, and they were knocked upside down in the trench by the impact of the bullets.

The brother on Luo Feng's left was shot through the shoulder, and he fell wailing and rolling in the trench. However, he still stared at the ferocious-faced little Japs, forcing himself to remain calm, and did not issue any orders.

The brothers were already a little anxious, and the sound of pulling gun bolts kept coming, but they had all been soldiers who had fought in several battles, and no one fired without permission.

"Prepare grenades!" Seeing that the Jaap was approaching within thirty meters, and the scars on the Jaap's face could even be seen, Luo Feng finally gave the order to attack.

Strings of grenades were thrown out by the guerrilla brothers waving their arms, like a rain of grenades.

The little devil had a calculated plan. He wanted to take advantage of the darkness to launch a counterattack and expand the defensive position, so he chased the retreating guerrilla officers and soldiers.

They rushed until they were less than thirty meters away from the front line trenches of the guerrillas. They could rush in with a single charge. The little devil had a sneer on his lips, and their plan was about to come true.

But when they saw the grenades falling down like hailstones, their expressions changed wildly, and they hurriedly rushed towards the nearby craters and behind the debris, preparing to avoid them.

"Rumble, rumble—"

The orange-red flash of the grenade explosion was particularly dazzling on the dark battlefield, like ferocious lightning bolts. In the rising smoke, the Japanese were constantly knocked away by the shock wave.

Explosive fragments and flesh and blood flew everywhere, and many grenades exploded directly in the air. Before those little Japs who had just fallen down had time to be happy, their entire backs were covered by large areas of shrapnel.

"Ah!" A shrill wail came from the smoke of the explosion, and was soon drowned out by more explosions.

The more than thirty guerrilla officers and soldiers no longer needed Luo Feng's orders. They knew what they were doing, and they all aimed at the little Japanese and pressed the triggers.

Before the kid could find a sense of balance from the deafening explosion, he staggered around and was pierced by the whizzing bullets. The bloody bullets sank into the body of the second Japs unabated.

Every brother who can survive on the battlefield has two brushes. There are only thirty guerrilla officers and soldiers in several infantry companies. At this moment, they all turned into Jiuyouyanluo and began to demand the lives of the Japanese.

"Puff!"

The brothers fired vengeful bullets at the little devil. They did not fire randomly. They fired at precise points, and the little devil became the target of being shot.

More than a dozen little Japs got mad and tried to rush through the thirty meters and rush into the trenches for close combat, but these thirty meters became their graves.

In less than two minutes, the more than ten charging little Japs were all killed one by one by the brothers, just like killing a dog.

The Japanese retreated to their position in disgrace, leaving more than thirty mutilated corpses in front of the position.

Seeing the Japs retreating, the brothers in the trenches burst into loud cheers, thankful that they had beaten the Japs away.

The battle under Gaoyou City has turned into a tug-of-war, with the guerrillas attacking and the Japanese counterattacking. The two sides repeatedly strangled each other on a battlefield with a radius of less than two kilometers.

The sky became dark again, and apart from the repeated ravage of the land and hundreds of corpses left behind, no one on either side gained any advantage on this battlefield.
