Chapter 3 Entering the fog for the first time

Enge looked solemnly in the direction of the door, waved his hand, and a gust of wind blew out the candle, and at the same time turned on the light switch on the wall.

"Let him in."

"Yes."

The guard responded and backed away.

After coming here for a while, a man wearing black clothes and a hat walked in quickly.

It was a windbreaker with a sense of design, with a slightly shiny golden border texture that vaguely outlined the outline of the dress.

"Sorry for disturbing you in the middle of the night, Viscount Osman Engel."

The man in black took off the brim of his hat and bowed slightly to Engel in front of him to express his apology, but his words were particularly cold and tough.

"The Light Tower just now, that is, at 01:12:56 tonight, sensed a spiritual and elemental reaction in your house.

Judging from the reaction level, it is suspected that element testing is being carried out. I have been specially sent to investigate. Please cooperate.”

The man in black bowed again and took out the Action Team ID of the Church of the Night.

Enge glanced at the ID, Paine, the captain of the Carre District execution team of the Church of the Night, and the looming pattern of night on the ID, then sighed silently and got out of the way behind him.

Seeing Engel's concession, Pine also put away his previous indifference and toughness. He didn't understand why just an element test would make it so difficult for the man in front of him. But when he raised his head and looked at the crystal ball on the table, he

Gradually understood everything.

It was an elemental test ball that had been used. It no longer looked like a mixture of elements. The eight elements were formed into their own bodies, just like eight elves scurrying back and forth in the crystal.

Pine glanced at Enge and understood his helplessness at the moment.

"Unfortunately, His Excellency Osman Eng, according to regulations, I will take him and the test crystal to the Church of the Night for further confirmation.

If he is of the [World] sequence, we will specially mark his spiritual quality. This is something you have the right to know.

But you don’t need to be too pessimistic. As far as I know, other sequences of eight elements are also possible, but very few... very few."

Pine explained the rules and procedures. He originally wanted to comfort him, but gradually he lost confidence.

Because he has never heard of the eight elements in other sequences.

But it is theoretically possible.

He smiled silently, then walked to Teller, picked up the crystal ball, and asked sideways.

"You are Osman Teller, right?"

Looking at the solemn expressions of his father and housekeeper, Terrell slowly put away his earlier excitement and nodded silently.

"I am the captain of the Kare district execution team of the Church of the Night. According to the regulations, you have to go with me."

Trailer glanced at Engel and nodded gently as he watched.

"I understand, do you want to leave now?"

"Yes, but since you may not have been exposed to the fog, please listen carefully to what I say next."

Teller nodded slightly.

"The foggy space you entered during the test just now is completely different from the chaotic fog outside.

When you enter the fog, your field of vision will be blocked and you will not be able to see anything. Instead, countless information will enter your brain through another way.

That is the elements and things beyond the elements that you feel in the crystal. We call it ectoplasm, in order to reduce the overreaction caused by entering the fog for the first time.

So take this requiem, it can relieve the stimulation of the first influx of information."

Seeing that his father didn't speak, Teller took the pills and drank them.

"Very good, there will inevitably be some strange existences in the fog. If you hear any strange murmurs or see any strange figures, ignore them and walk towards the light tower.

They will not get close to the light tower, and the light of the light tower can be seen in the fog.

If you really can't see clearly, just feel the weak spiritual flow around you, and they will slowly flow towards the light tower."

Pine explained quickly and narratively, then suddenly stopped and changed to a relaxed tone.

"But in towns, you basically won't encounter them, so don't be too nervous. Just follow me. By the way, last but not least, wear a hat."

Pine said but pointed his hand at Eric, and Trail followed the guidance and looked over.

Eric is holding a simple hat in his hand, but the brim feels slightly longer.

Teller walked over, picked up his hat and put it on. The brim of the hat was slightly pushed forward, causing his eyes to slowly fall into darkness.

Enge smiled helplessly and watched Teller put on the hat he had prepared.

"It seems that the hat fits well." Eric said, looking at the young master's figure.

Terrell was a little confused. Do all people walking outside have to behave like this, dressing themselves up like killers?

"Well, it's time for us to leave. After Viscount Engel determines the sequence of ectoplasm in the crystal ball and confirms that the crystal ball is Osman Teller's appraisal ball, I will send your child back soon. Please understand.

Enge nodded silently.

"Don't be nervous, go ahead! I'll wait for you to come back at home."

Teller noticed Engel's change, raised his hat slightly, looked at Engel with a smile and a determined look, and responded.

"Wait for my good news!"

After saying that, he put down his hat and followed Pine towards the mystery.

But he stopped the moment he stepped into the fog.

What was originally covered by the fog directly appeared in the brain in another way.

It's as if the structure of the world has been dismantled into spiritual matter and then flowed into Teller's brain with the fluctuation of elements.

And this perspective is not the perspective in front of you, it's a bit like looking down at everything around you from the sky, with a sense of sight all over your body. More and more information is reshaping and rushing into Teller's brain, forming a new perspective with the perspective in front of you.

Strong conflict.

Two people's different perspectives are presented in front of their eyes at the same time, causing a sense of dizziness. The world in front of them and the vision in their minds continue to overlap in an orderly manner.

Teller knelt down directly and put his hands on the ground.

In a trance, he heard someone shouting to approach him.

"Close your eyes! Close your eyes!!"

Mobilize the last bit of consciousness to slowly close your eyes, and take deep breaths to adjust to the chaos just now.

Pine was a little strange. According to common sense, Teller shouldn't have such a strong reaction even if he opened his eyes after taking the requiem.

Why is there such a strong reaction now?

After a moment of thinking, he came up with two possibilities.

The first is physical reasons, but as a chosen one, his physical fitness cannot be so poor, and Terrell's body movements look like he has undergone certain training. Is there any hidden physical disease?

Pine looked at Enge and Eric. Both of them were registered God's Chosen Ones, and Eric was in the [Life] sequence. However, they didn't express anything and looked confused.

Then there is a high probability that there is another possibility: the range of his perception of spiritual matter is beyond ordinary people, and the huge amount of information prevents his brain from adapting quickly, and even taking medicine cannot relieve it.

Pine quickly locked in the conclusion, stepped forward to help Terrell, smiled at his father and housekeeper behind him, and hinted that they were fine.

However, Engel and Eric also smiled softly at this moment and closed the door to show that they did not see the ugly behavior just now.

........................

Outside the house, Pine helped Trailer to speed up his pace. Trailer leaned on Pine's shoulder, slowly relieved the stimulation just now, and began to learn to use his consciousness to get used to another perspective of the surroundings.

At this moment, he discovered that they were gradually accelerating, moving quickly through the shadows in the darkness, and empty buildings flashed past.

And the field of vision perceived now is far less broad than before, as if the safety valve of the brain has been opened. At least there will be no vomiting or horrible stimulation.

In his confusion, Teller slowly felt that his feet seemed to be supported by shadows, without the real feeling of stepping on the ground.

There is no feeling of weightlessness, and there is no wind floating in front of you. It is as comfortable as riding in a car.

Maybe it was because of the load on his brain just now, maybe because he remembered the feeling of riding in a car. There was a slight sway, as if this was not midnight but an afternoon. Teller slowly fell into a deep sleep leaning on Pine's shoulder.

........................

In the house, Enge sat down on the sofa, took a sip of the freshly brewed black tea, and pondered for a moment.

"The [World] Sequence is best at, if I remember correctly, it should be the microscopic control of spiritual matter, Eric."

"Yes, sir, the young master is probably not the [World] Sequence. The [World] Sequence cannot have such macro-collection capabilities."

Enge nodded slightly, he thought so too, at least not in the world sequence.

But his state is still abnormal in other sequences. Maybe he is really an eight-element person in some other sequence.

Thinking of this, Engel couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief but also felt a little worried.

"Maybe this is his fate."

.....................

In the dusk, Pine took the sleeping Teller to the light tower in Kalei District. This is the sub-light tower where the auxiliary and handler of the Dark Night Sect is located, and it is also the headquarters of the Dark Night Church in Kalei District.

"Certificate!"

"Don't go through these official procedures for me, get out of the way!"

Pine was a little impatient, but he still took out his ID and went through the process.

"What's wrong with Captain Pine..."

"Mind your own business, do you want to keep vigil every day?"

"Um... No need to, I didn't see anything, dear Captain Pine."

After finding out that Teller was asleep, Pine directly carried Teller on his shoulders, walked into the first floor of the light tower, and walked towards a room in the depths.

It was a somewhat dark study room. Pine skillfully moved the position of the book and then knocked on the desk twice.

The sound of the lock opening sounded, and the entire bookcase began to move...
