Chapter 5 The Significance of Ottomans

Amidst the gentle shaking, Teller opened his eyes and slowly woke up. The roast duck on the dining table was no longer there, but there were two wine glasses. There was still some red wine in the glasses, and Pine was not poured.

Instead of sitting on the ground, he lay on the wine table.

Simon put the pocket watch back into the inner pocket of his shirt.

"It's been almost an hour, remember you just woke up."

Teller nodded crazily, and Simon walked over and slapped Pine hard on the back of the head.

"Terrell is awake! I have handed in the test files and you have done a good job.

The four elements [Dark], [Water], [Wind] and [Fire] are not common nowadays.

What's more, it's still our [dark night] sequence. I will personally write a letter to the principal of Exim College and ask him to make proper arrangements."

Pine listened to Simon's words with some confusion, and then looked at the wine glass on the table.

Suddenly I remembered the reason why I was here. It seemed that after finishing the test, I had a few drinks while waiting for Teller to wake up.

Maybe it was simply because he was too tired, or maybe it was because he was relaxing after being so excited, but he actually fell asleep on his stomach!!

"You should take him home quickly now, and remember to explain it to his father." Simon said slowly.

"Okay."

Pine was a little nervous. Seeing that Captain Simon didn't say anything, he responded and fled directly with Terrell.

.............

The two of them walked out of the lighthouse together, but this time the young man guarding the door didn't say a word, and kept his post honestly.

Stepping into the fog again, Teller lowered his hat to cover his eyes.

The surrounding scene appeared in front of my eyes, but it didn't have the crazy excitement at the beginning, and the range of perception was also very limited, about a circular range with a radius of 50 meters.

Pine's spiritual essence surrounds him, showing his existence. There are traces of scattered elements in this mist, and there are also elemental waves floating in it. Teller silently feels it while following Pine's footsteps.

.

As we moved away from the light tower, individual passers-by appeared scattered on the street, walking through this empty street.

At this time, Teller also found that he could not sense the situation inside the building, as if he was being shielded.

There is an empty space there, like a house with only an empty shell, but considering that the fog seems unable to enter the house, this may be the reason.

After walking for a while, they stopped in front of the gate of a manor. Sure enough, it was the same house as in the previous life. They raised their hats and opened their eyes, glanced at the guard and nodded to open the door.

"Master Teller."

In response, the guard opened the door.

The two walked to the front door of the house and knocked on the door.

In the house, Engel and Eric slowly opened their eyes when they heard the knock on the door. There was ashes in the ashtray on the table. They smiled awkwardly and fell asleep.

"Why did you fall asleep too?"

Engel asked Eric first as if to inform him first.

"Maybe it's the aftertaste of Requiem Smoke."

Eric smiled, looked at the cigarette case in his pocket, shook his head in a daze, then stood up and opened the door.

Pine took off his hat and bowed lightly.

"Viscount Osman Enge, according to the identification of the civilian staff of the Light Tower in Kalei District, your child is the chosen one of the four elements of darkness, water, wind and fire [night]. Congratulations!"

Terrell also took off his hat, an excited and proud expression appeared on his slightly mature face.

After hearing the news, Engel and Eric's originally chaotic minds suddenly woke up, and they felt joyful.

Pine continued.

"Terrell is only 16 years old and has just awakened not long ago. I suggest you take good care of yourself in the past few days. The news from the academy will be conveyed within three days, so I will take my leave now."

"Eric, send this night executor off."

"Okay, sir."

With that said, Eric and Pine walked out of the door.

Enge walked towards Teller with a smile, looking at the child in front of him who was already as tall as himself. He had mixed feelings in his eyes and wanted to say something, but he also noticed Teller's tired eyes at this moment.

"Okay, go to bed quickly. Let's talk about anything tomorrow."

"Yeah."

Taylor nodded and walked towards the second floor. When he was about to go up the stairs, he stopped and turned around and said

"Good night, Father."

"Good night, Taylor."

……………………………

After briefly washing up, Teller returned to the room, put on his pajamas and lay on the bed.

I compiled a series of incredible things I experienced in less than half a day.

This is a world that is almost completely different from the previous world, a mysterious and foggy world.

This is a world with super powers. There are eight elemental powers in the world [fire] [water] [wind] [thunder] [dark] [light] [earth] [ice]

And the power of sequences: the seemingly dangerous [World] sequence, and his current [Night] sequence, the other sequences are still unknown.

The entire world should be composed of ectoplasm, elemental power, and similar air that existed in the world in the past. At least this is what we have come into contact with so far, but it cannot be completely confirmed.

I confirmed some common sense information and sorted out the puzzles that still had no answers.

What kind of existence is that person under the light tower?

What has Teller experienced again?

Why do you say he was attacked?

Why did he commit suicide again?

Why is this house the same as before?

What is that gesture in the test?

Why did Xiao Hei leave without saying goodbye?

What exactly is this fog?

Mysteries are mingling in Teller's mind, but there are no clues.

He couldn't help but think of Xiao Hei's words at that time.

"Will fate roll in?"

Then at what moment of fate will you appear?

Xiaohei.

Unconsciously, Teller gave up thinking and slowly fell into a deep sleep.

………………………………

There was a gentle knock on the door.

"Master Taylor, breakfast is ready."

It's Eric's voice.

"I know, come down now"

He slowly sat up and responded, looking at the clock on the wall. The time had just passed seven-thirty. With a hint of sleepiness, Teller slowly got out of bed, walked to the clothes rack, and looked at the scene outside.

The fog has disappeared, the sun has just climbed into the sky, and the town is no longer as deserted as it was last night.

It seems that the fog will only appear slowly after nightfall as before.

But it was midnight when we first arrived in this world, and there was no fog at that time. Could it be that only the awakened God's Chosen Ones or Element Adapters can see the fog?

While thinking about it, Teller had already put on his suit unhurriedly, straightened his clothes and smiled lightly in the mirror, sorting out his mood.

Open the door, walk through the corridor, go down the stairs, enter the kitchen, and look at where the tableware and things have been placed.

Eric gently pulled up the chair, and Teller walked over and sat down. He originally wanted to say thank you, but he swallowed the two words that were foreign to him and looked at the breakfast in front of him.

A piece of steaming toast, a golden and warm fried egg, a plump grilled sausage and a cup of freshly brewed black tea.

Of course Verdis knows how to eat, but he doesn't know how Teller eats. Maybe it would be better to imitate Engel.

But from the time he came in and sat down until now, Engel has been holding the newspaper in his hand with no intention of putting it down.

"Master Enge, the young master is here"

Eric said calmly.

Enge casually put down the newspaper and pretended to have just noticed.

"Oh oh oh, I didn't even notice."

Enge said with a hint of joking.

Teller was a little stunned when he heard this. Is this the ordinary Engel? Why does it feel a bit strange???

Even when he was confused, he responded with a slow smile.

"It's okay, dad."

Enge glanced at Teller strangely, and chuckled helplessly.

"We haven't had a meal together for so long, and you act like nothing is wrong."

Teller thought quickly. They hadn't had a meal together for a long time. Coupled with suicide and sleeping pills, the gloomy mood was what people who were wrapped in haze would have. Teller should have locked himself up completely when he died.
Just like the locked diary, all failures are the reason. Ordinary people who take the first test are one of the locks, Terrell.

"I am also the chosen one now. As a member of the Osman family, I should naturally look forward, right?"

Teller responded firmly.

Engel was stunned for a moment and smiled silently, and that smile was mixed with a little sadness.

"I'm glad you can cheer up again, my child."

There are birds chirping in the morning outside the window, the sun shines in slightly, the silver knives, and the steaming breakfast, as if this is the dawn that the winner can see after the haze.

"Master, the tea will get cold if you wait a little longer."

"Come on, let's eat."

Engel said and picked up the knife and fork.

Terrell was a little surprised. He originally thought that his father would say some prayers before meals, but that didn't happen, so he followed suit and picked up the knife and fork to slowly cut the food.

The sound of the knife and fork hitting the plate, the sound of cutting, the sound of chewing.

Teller always slowed down his movements naturally to prevent himself from making unknown etiquette mistakes, and carefully glanced at Engel's behavior.

Time slowly promotes this time when some people are leisurely and others pretend to be leisurely....

Enge slowly put down the tea cup and wiped his mouth, then looked at Teller who was just picking up the tea cup gently.

"Trel...."

Enge's tone, which seemed to have made up his mind, made Teller slightly startled, but he still put the tea cup to his mouth.

Noticing that his child had been drinking tea and avoiding him, Enge sighed silently, stood up and prepared to leave, but stopped again when leaving.

"Osman is just your home, my child."

Engel's words revealed a kind of guilt and a sense of powerlessness. He knew that he was not qualified to say such words, and he was not asking for forgiveness, but he knew what Teller would face in the future.

And this time Osman will be just a destination for him to escape from.

After saying that, he put on his own clothes and left the house directly.
